We're flying the Cowansim Bell 206 out of Van Nuys (KVNY) to LAPD Hooper Memorial Heliport (4CA0). Let's see if ATC lets us transit Burbank Class Charlie.

Are you following CARs or § 91.159? I've been researching VFR lately, but § 91.159 sounds a bit goofy. I don't quite understand the purpose or application of it and when it needs to be followed.

Awesome video, I live in LA and want to fly for LAPD when i get older so this video was really cool. Not many people talk about LAPD helicopters in flight sims so i really appreciate this video. I was wondering, could you maybe do a patrol in the as350 LAPD skin sort of roleplaying as them and responding to "calls"(make bieleve) or maybe do another flight like this one but in the LAPD as350. Other than that awesome vid, I left a like!

Nice vid 👍 How do you find the CowanSim 206 flight model compare to other XP11 helicopters eg Dreamfoil 407 ?

Thanks, glad You enjoyed it. I think they're both as good as it gets in a sim. The way I see it, with all the add-on aircraft we are generally seeing different versions of X-Planes helicopter flight model which is very accurate to begin with. They differ on certain parameters and in the complexity of simulating helicopter specific flight characteristics but in the end they all feel like X-Plane helicopters if that makes sense. So one could better argue which sim has the best FM for helicopters. I also like DCS and Aerofly. However X-Plane to me is the most versatile sim so far. If it only had MSFS visuals 😃. Anyway it's nice to see devs like Dreamfoil and Cowansim going the extra mile of creating their own plugins to make X-Planes Heli-Model even better.
