I don't mean to sound cold, but I'm not broken down over this. While it's true, I wish it hadn't happened and I'm sorry for his family, but I didn't personally know him. Please remember, he, neither anybody else is God. We all have to leave this world one day. We should pray for all families effected by the deaths of loved ones.

I've never been affected by the death of a celebrity like I have about Kobe's death. Maybe it's because I've watched basketball by default for 22 years when I married my husband. Kobe was special. I grieve for his family as well as the other families impacted by the death of their loved ones. I mourn for the tough lives people have. People die every day and I mourn for them and their families. Kobe's death is impacting me because I live in his community and I have friends who knew him. I've always wondered why he established Mamba Academy so far from home. I'm sure that there's a good reason: maybe to help kids in less fortunate positions, but there are also a lot of kids in Orange County who could have benefitted. There are a lot of poor people in Orange County. I'm just rambling now, but my heart aches over this. Kobe was an outstanding person. There are the haters, but they don't know the true Kobe and what was in his heart. As a Catholic, who attended his church, I'm grateful that he practiced his faith and that he and Gigi went to Mass Sunday morning. Kobe always went to 7AM Mass and knew Fr Steve well. May eternal light shine upon all who've lost their lives within this tragedy and outside of this tragedy.

Nick Bernath never knew him personally but thought about him and what he stood for quite often. He lived a lifestyle that I try to emulate and his mentality has definitely allowed me to progress myself as a person. You don’t have to know someone on a personal level to have them deeply impact you. But then again some people just like criticizing what they don’t understand.

Having had my own father taken away from me, I will say that Vanessa Bryant better be surrounded by people who truly have her best interests at heart. In my experience, learning that people close to the family were more concerned about the material benefits than the love and support was horrible.

@@yungmatt009 in law brought my mom aside privately to tell her that (inlaw) attorney told (inlaw) that the kids get half of fathers estate, likely to "help avoid confusion" as to how much (inlaw) other half will be receiving. Inlaw was probably told what I planned to do with my inheritance which was in one pot with (inlaw) otther half at the time and wanted to make it clear to my mom how (inlaw)wanted things to play out in the probate proceedings. (Inlaw) said these things after I grieved my father with (inlaw)in front of his dead body at the hospital.

He is speaking from his own tragic tragic experience. As a boxing fan and a fan of Max when he was heavily involved with boxing, I was shocked when his brother was murdered. He has some idea unfortunately of what Vanessa and the Bryant family, as well as the other families who had suffered loss here is going through

I pray they stop posting on social media so that the media stops talking about it and the other families involved get rest and time to heal.

I can imagine her looking at the door for them to walk through it or going into her daughter's bedroom to see if she's still in bed. But I can't imagine her rolling over in her bed to feel for Kobe. When my son was killed as an innocent bystander after leaving his client's home cutting her grandson's hair because she couldn't afford to go to the barber shop, he was shot to death by some thugs driving around looking for trouble. I'd go into his room or call his phone and forget he was no longer with us.😢 So I know what it's like losing a child at a young age just starting out in life at 23 and getting his dream of being a Barber started.

Animelytical My dad died in September 2015 when I was 13 and just starting 8th grade. I’m going to be 18 in 1 week and I am a senior in high school. Not a day has gone by where I haven’t thought about him and miss him. It’s going to stay that way. To add to sadness we just had to put down our 12 year old dog on new year’s day that we’ve had since 2007. It all sucks man
