I still have a fondness of Twilight. As much as it's not cool to like it, it's still such big pop culture fixture that had a little place in my growing up, I can't help it. I enjoyed the movies. And Jacob 😂
I was at the mall with friends one afternoon when approached by a woman who invited us to be apart of a focus group. Yes, Cool As Ice was one of the movie trailers being focused on. You are welcome. My friends and I rated this movie quite highly. Without us, this movie may have never been released. We are heros.
I was an extra in this movie. I was one of the dancing nerds in the club scene. He was supposed to walk into the club and make us suddenly cool.😂😂😂 Nobody on set liked him or his band mates, they strutted around the set like they were superstars, and were driving these matching red mustang convertibles. Super douchey dude.
For me, the funniest thing about this film is that two years later, this film's director of cinematography Janusz Kaminski would go on to win an Academy Award for his work on Schindler's List.

Omg! I lived that movie as a kid. I watched it back a few years ago and I'm certain my parents drugged me, there is no other explanation for how much I liked that movie.
I’m an “Elder Millennial” and I’m about to tell y’all the most dated tale: I had a HUGE crush on Vanilla Ice. Had Big Bopper and Teen Beat posters of him in my closet. Got a book about him from the Book Fair and was so excited that he was from Texas too. 😑 Few years ago we took our kids to see him and Green Jellÿ at a fest. (Green Jellÿ puts on an AMAZING show! Bill Manspeaker is such a nice human. You can tell he genuinely like kids.) My kids were not impressed. My Husband enjoyed teasing me. And Rob is STILL foine 🥰
Also can’t stop begging you review 1985s “Tuff Turf”!!! It’s one of Robert Downey Jr’s first movies. It has James Spader dancing. Kim Richards in a ridiculous wig. And most importantly, stunt double dancing and bad cut aways to hide it. It’s more epically bad than it sounds.

This reminds me of my elementary school best friend Summer. She was in love with Vanilla Ice when we're were kids. I was in love with Andre The Giant. We were very different but best friends. I hope she is doing well in life.
I was born in 1984 and vanilla ice was my very first crush! I had the vanilla ice Barbie doll and he had the razor marks in his hair and eyebrow and when my bday rolled around, I wanted a vanilla ice bday cake so my mom had his face put on my cake lmao fast forward to 2005 ish, I was 21 and vanilla ice came and performed at a local outside club and I dragged all my girlfriends and bf (now husband) put with me because they always made fun of my love for vanilla ice lmao. Surprisingly, it was a big turn out. I think because really nostalgic for a lot of people but he played a lot of like screaming metal when all everyone wanted to hear was ice ice baby, back to back while we sang drunk. At one point, he called a lot of girls on stage and I felt like I was living my childhood dream. Even though he is corny as hell and this movie is soooo bad, I will always have a soft spot for vanilla ice

every time i think about vanilla ice i remember a time i made a joke to a friend about how silly vanilla ice was as a character and she snapped at me, telling me van winkle HATED vanilla ice and was EMBARRASSED about it and it was in his PAST and it was MESSED UP to keep making jokes about it when he was trying to FORGET it. she full on scolded me for dunking on the pants he used to wear. that summer he announced his house flipping show, the vanilla ice project.

Speaking of “Madoona” movies, Desperately seeking Susan is a good 80’s one to review. She’s at her peak madoona-ness and the rest of the cast is great. The story line is awesome. It’s classic early 80’s cinema.

When I was little vanilla ice saw my mother getting into our car with my older sisters (maybe 8,11) with our luggage and he saw that she was struggling and offered to help. I can't remember the exact story but he was trying to help her. I always think about that when I see him. This was probably around 2004 or 05

Loved this Jamie! I didn't realize how much the make up was holding you back until you forgot it and just focused on the comedy. That was the fastest 38 minutes of my life and I still want more Jamie and bad movies!
