Renny is back in town! It would be pretty epic if you'd subscribe and share this video! Super Ghostbusters: • [Vinesauce] Joel - Sup... New Renny stills by / renstardeluxe My Twitter: / selectwario More videos coming soon!!
Only when he got to the “skeleton comin out” in this review did it click that yeah, Joel having no internet meant he either had guts sound effects already or made them with something.

One key thing I NEED to mention about what makes Ghastbasters so funny is that is happens DIRECTLY after the ghost nut, so you get a moment of silence before suddenly hearing this otherworldly choir. To me, this choir seemingly implies the nut was so powerful that it caused the protagonist to die and ascend into the afterlife while the story continues from the perspective of a different character
18:11 There's actually pretty much an entire album that fits the glove, called _Skeleton Metal X_. It features songs like "Skeleton Boomer", "Coffin Bastards" and "Bloodsnax", along with a metal cover of "Brick By Brick" from Lego Island, some original songs by Hot Dad, and an extended rendition/reimagining of his ~2014 single "Skeletor".
@@RenniUltraFox some good commentary, proper appreciation of the source material, and the unexpected sweater puppies were gratuitous but not unwelcome. I'd rate it a 9/10
I’m so glad I came across your channel only to find this. Super Ghostbusters (great value) is that kind of album that no matter how you analyze it, you’ll always get a good kick from it. Be it as a serious album, a work of art or just a shitpost made by a Swedish guy.
I have referenced this freaking album so much that my girlfriend made a birthday card with a drawing of me and her in ghostbusters outfits. It’s amazing
When I think of super ghostbusters, I think of people quoting it for the funnies or making animations for a track, NOT A WHOLE VIDEO ANALYZING THE ALBUM LMAO. No but srs, I like how you somehow made a whole 20 minute video talking about a shitpost album, and I as a fellow Fecal Funny enjoyer I appreciate! Not only did it introduce me to this random channel, but it also made me discover something I never knew would exist here on YT till now. Keep making videos my guy, genuinely well done and written.
This Album answered the long asked question of "What if Joel had no connection to the outside world" and jesus christ was it terrifying Also RU-vid stinks, he didn't tell me you uploaded :(
Joel did make a joke death metal album. It’s called Astrid Lindgren Destroyer 666, it’s all in Swedish and it’s about a children’s tv writer eating children.
I only discovered this album a couple months ago and I was nodding for basically this whole review. My first listen had me cry laughing with “wtf am I listening to” but on reflection I was like “actually there’s some genius in here, hang on”. I can no longer shop for groceries or open the fridge without Ghostbatista auto playing in my head. But agreed about the prank call one being the best and also about the stanky MIDI horns. Great video!
Joel has said before he always puts his full effort into his music, even if it's just to be funny, and I really respect that. Also people are confused why he has these songs & sound effects on his computer like, have you _seen_ his streams? He always seems to have something on hand to compliment his stupid bits
At last! Someone talking about how good this album is in video-essay form! Like you said, there are a lot of little details and funny bits in the different songs that elevate it over just random for being random. The variations of the midi and the premises that grow to finish with a punchline are great, but there's also how most of the songs rarely have any rhymes, making any actual rhymes stand out a lot more (like rhyming City with Shitty) And yeah, Deluxe is not that good and it's basically because Joel barely had anything to do with it. Most of the songs are RU-vid Poops of the prior songs made by fans who fail to understand why the songs are so funny, and believe that just putting a bunch of the memorable lines together in one song with no real order will be instant comedy. Like, having a song where Joel calls the Ghostbusters for something mundane over and over, angering them and having them beat him up is funny because it's a joke with a set up, a development and a punch line. When one of the Super Ghostbusters Deluxe songs just sticks "and then they come over and break my fucking legs" at the end of a series of nonsense lines, it's just not funny at all. There are still some small highlights to the Deluxe album though. Ghostbusterswars is on par with some of the best of the original album (DARK VADER RESURRECTION COMPLETE. NOW HE HAS LIGHTSABER FEET)
Man, this channel does not have anywhere near enough of a following for the video quality it produces. Felt like I was watching a big name video essay. ❤️👌
Neat video that was randomly suggested to me after watching one of Gray's animations. Only criticism is I think you could talk a bit faster, even with just some editing magic cutting accidental longer pauses. Also this album is a banger at halloween furmeets.
Unironically this album STILL makes me cry laugh every time, and the deluxe edition actually had me in stitches, "Ghostdubster" actually annihilated me
i have a fond memory of listening to the full album at 2 am, in the tender overworked state of mind when toilet humor and loud noises are funny, and the comedy whiplash killed me. truly a modern classic love your commitment to the proper title pronunciation 👏
Do you not know about Scythlord? Joels unironic death metal band on which he genuianly puts effort into There is like an 8 year old video joel made promoting one of their albums "toxic minds" and i love it so much it is filled with so much spite yet it is clear he actually cares about it
@@RenniUltraFox the first few are almost a decade old at this point (jeepers I just realized how long I've watched Vinny and Joel 💀) so you kind of get to watch his sense of humor and writing tastes evolve as he goes, especially between 2 and 3
