Late stage Loma reminds me of late stage Messi in soccer. Messi recieved fewer individual accolades/ less acclaim towards the end (imo) because he had been so disproportionately dominant as the best in the world for such an extended period with such consistency that the dominance came to be expected. Given that the dominance was expected it became predictable to the point of mundane. Now mundane and expected the disproportionate talent is somehow strangely no longer sufficiently noteworthy to justify reaction and inspire excitement despite the now oddly antithetical notion of the athlete clearly remaining one of the best and most spectacular talents in the world even with natural athletic decline. Similarly strange declines in critical popularity in both men in my eyes. Or maybe I'm just a crazy rambling madman connecting unrelated dots lol. Either way much appreciation for the quality videos on this channel
Hopefully this performance didn't scare Shakira and Tanky away from a fight.Even this veteran version of Loma is just too skilled and athletic for these Amerobum hypejobs.
If you look back when was lomo ever beat clearly? He was injured vs teo He was facing a tough fighter in his 2nd match with Salido Haney was backing up as way more Haney was caught clean multiple times and stunned Haney was struggling to land clean in multiple rounds I seen the match for the 3rd time days ago and lomo for a fact landed more Commentary even said mutiple times in matches even in his 5th Match how he is the most skilled they have seen The man is the best skilled at these small weights the sport has ever seen, this isn't me being bias this is from me watching full matches and able to see every advance and outdated tech in each era,I've never seen anybody more patient/as great at timing/use of angles as this man at the small weights
Loma is levels above the rest of the clowns at lightweight even at 36 years old. Such a shame on boxing that they continue to try to cheat such a great champion because he's not American

@@JohnCenaIsMyDadI said Lomo was injured that's not a lie he didn't face a full ready lomo which makes you're comment odd you're trolling the wrong person
@@stevenskliros9608 as far as being beat cleanly you're correct as my post said nobody has beat lomo cleanly anybody with common sense can clearly see thuis
Loma definitely looked older, but it appeared like he wanted to make sure that he was going to secure the win, while pacing himself more than usual. I see Loma fighting 1-2 more times and then he'll retire.
Watching the Haney fight was Loma at two different paces. Definitely aged, but definitely has it in him to switch it up. Can see his drive has been hit, but he'll have no issues answering the call when the time comes. I pray he makes Undisputed before retiring.
I'm sick of Bradley's comments. Kambosos was shaken, he had no idea what to do from round 2 on, if Kambosos had taken that long to prepare against Haney, he would have won. Loma was awesome, in Perth, with a KO, great. Oh, and I wish the Loma vs Haney fight would have been scored the same way this fight was...
yeah, he is disgussting. He always choses a side in any fights, the worst commentator ever. I wish Paulie Malignaggi would be sitting, in Bradley’s place. Paulie was one of the most honest boxing commetator, and that is why they got rid of him, imo. Bradley definitelly hates Lomachenko. I wish he would retire.
@@gustavofontalba He said so much s..t, for example how Haney beat Loma, (with all those bodyshots), which is the biggest BS, and in this fight, Kambosos literally took two steps, and he already could see how different he was, lmfao. I love to see him fight against Lomachenko, because whenever Loma fights, he always knows how to beat him. That man is crazy.
lil loma forced a stoppage while super middleweight debbie haney couldn’t in two fights. for loma i wanna see him fight zepeda or nav (if he wins next week). both exciting fights and both guys have the balls to take the fight too.
Isn’t it funny that the guy who was throwing all the intentional body shots all fight couldn’t hurt his opponent, and then the guy who barely threw them was the one who got a liver shot KO 😂
@@MikeStock88 what commentators and analysts don’t understand is that the side where Haney and Kambo were targeting for the body shots isn’t even the liver side. Loma is a southpaw so his more vulnerable side is naturally harder to hit, he doesn’t mind taking a few slaps to the body if it means quicker release on his punches for the counter.
It’s got to be hard for Loma fighting his own demons knowing how much the same industry he’s given most of his life to, has cheated him. Tough. Seeing his best friend become Undisputed is amazing but hard for him too. Praying he continues to rise and gets Undisputed before he can retire. Truly GOAT’d fighter.
Shakur is definitely the new Andre Ward. And in my opinion is actually worse than Haney. And I’m not even talking skill wise just as a person. Dude thinks he is the most skilled boxer in the world , which is laughable considering all he is another run, duck and hold fighter. But wait you can add another thing to the list and that’s low blows. Dude was getting outboxed by Robson Conceicao and resorted to low blowing him the rest of the fight and nobody in the commentary calls him out or at top rank. Dude fights an explosive puncher like de los santos and just run, duck and holds just to survive and gets rewarded a decision. I don’t want to see this guy in any big fights he is not nearly as skilled as he thinks not even close. Just another pillowfist boxer with decent speed that gets protected by the boxing establishment. And now he is calling people that do not like him or his style on Twitter “Racist” yes this dude has all the worst qualities of a fighter wrapped in one.
He definitely needs to leave boxing or at least get exposed such a burden to the sport. The guy is not a real fighter fr he don’t take any real fights and he’s trash he makes Devin Haney and Tank more likable
Masterclass performance from loma even at 36 is incredible this just makes Devin Haney look even worse. To me he even looks good at the weigh in. Gervonta and Shakur gonna duck this man and continue to age this man out smh and I hope he retires so he doesn’t give those clowns an opportunity cause I don’t want to see this man getting robbed for these guys
I mean Loma looks old😢, almost identical to Duran when he fought Barkley, it's like you know that if he was a couple of years younger, he wouldn't have taken so long to pull the trigger 🤷🏾 ...
I think it’s a bit of stretch to compare him to Duran when he fought Barkley. Of course he has lost some of his explosiveness but he’s still extremely deft and agile for 36. Still a better athlete than most in their 20s
He's definitely adapting as he ages and fighting these bigger men he has to be careful. I think if he fought someone his size he would look a lot more dynamic
Loma clearly looked older but he'd still give anybody from the division trouble and win comfortably. It's just the establishment that doesn't like it when he dominates their guys.
Kinda curious, according to your eye test, who is your top 5 pfp fighters? I think Loma vs Shakur woyld be Loma vs Salido. We saw Shakur practice low blows agaist Conceicao. Hope Tank's team thinks Loma is getting too old and fight Loma, because I think old Loma beats Tank.
It was an interesting fight. I think Kambosos isn’t getting enough credit to be honest. Normally Loma would throw more straight lefts as he usually does but Kambosos was looking for that. Kambosos is a type of fighter that will even punch even when getting hit. And he punches in salvos. It’s never just one counter but two or three punches. Just to make sure one lands. He’s like a Venus fly trap. Is like a weird reflex, so Loma was unwilling to take that risk because there was frankly no reason to fight with risk. To trade with Kambosos. Loma was winning every round so no point. And I think Kambosos hurt him with a body shot early. Maybe it was low, can’t remember. I think that made Loma pick his spots to just wear Kambosos down. I also noticed Kambosos was wary of the corners. Normally Loma will drag fighters to the corners, but Kambosos would immediately get out of there. Something he clearly worked on in camp. Also, and this reminds me of Gracie when he fought Haney. Like Garcia, Kambosos wouldn’t engage. He fought in a very sporadic manner. Sometimes he’d throw and other times he’d go for a long period of not throwing or retaliating. That makes a person unpredictable. There’s no clear rhythm. It’s like a song with a few notes and then long bars of rest notes. That unpredictability or lack of rhythm will slow a fight down and make it hard to generate consistent offense. This is what Haney ran into with Garcia. Garcia would shell up for long periods. It’s how Haney won rounds. Ryan wasn’t doing anything. Anyway, it sure if I’m being very clear there with my thoughts. Loma definitely slowed down as we all do as we age, but I think Kambosos had a game plan that worked to some degree, even though he lost badly. He fought in a way that slowed the fight down. And he did enough to make Loma cautious enough where he was unwilling to put more pressure on due to the game plan that Russian coach developed. That’s how it looked to me.
Also loma the master of his style just proved he for a fact would destroy these 80s/70s guys they always said would beat him,kam looked like an updated version of those guys Srl vs. Duran full match, both are mostly brawling, they have their feet mostly when they throw shots planted right in front of their opponent, they usually throw shots with the same patterns, and they use angles but they aren't complex, a lot of times instead of using defense they brawl, they look hesitant a lot as unsure. All of the 4 kings fought this way, yet out of touch people for years said they would beat lomo No, they wouldn't those guys look very basic and flawed, kam showed some of those same dated flaws but he had advances to, those outdated flaws showed easily to me Fighting in straight lines/tiptoeing/lunging along with the other outdated flaws the 80s/70s I named showed kam showed some of the same
@@elel2608 iI can say it about most because it's a fact. Watch that SRL and Duran 1st or 2nd round or any other guy from the 4 kings, and you tell me if what I said was a lie. Tell me how Kam didn't look like a more advanced version of how they fought; they look horrible.
Yup. Loma is slowing down. Should have finished that foul mouthed scrub within 3. Kambosos still lost all the rounds. Hope krapboso retires. Yes, he also lost to Lopez.
Slow beat down I am seeing Loma slow down a bit visibly and his punches don't have the snap. So he is going to be going to decisions more often now and he is going to be susceptible to getting robbed again I like how Loma has adapted as he gets older Still love watching him fight and he is still the best fighter in the sport Nice of ESPN to finally admit going forwards is harder than running backwards 😂😂😂 Imagine how good Loma would still be if he fought people his size or even slightly smaller.. George was visibly much bigger than him and he got smashed. One of the greats of this era and one of the best I've ever seen. His haters are still clowns 🤡🤡
Lomachenko must retire and not let pride get the better of him. I was thinking the exact same thing about the Shakira fight. If he agrees to this, he agrees to damage his body due to illegal blows.
Absolutely not 100% of what he has on tap. Didn't need it, even with a year layoff. Apparently Tank wants the fight now he tweeted out about wanting to fight Loma during the fight. I still like Loma to give all kinds of problems to Shakur or Tank if they fight but will he get the decision against Shakur or Tank that is the question.
Only thing stopping him dominating Tank the cherry picker, is Tanks reluctance to fight anybody with a pulse. I honestly think Kambosos would beat Tank far too dynamic for him.
vintage loma. why does everyone always low blow loma? lol. i hope shakur doesn't get the fight since he is clout chasing a fighter passed his prime and know the judges will rob loma. top rank commentating is biased(bradley, etc), there was a clear low blow by george in one of the rounds and they said good right hand by kambosos. They did the same when de los santos landed a right hand on shakur and said it was a good right by shakur.
Because they have no legal target so they just throw below the elbows. Loma is too good defensively for them to be able to actually land a legal body shot most of the time
Precise to a T. Also you called it out, 11th by accumulation. Btw did you hear Bradle’s commentary ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vXsbxxNpeI0.html Clearly Lom’s hater, so much excitement about every Kambosos’s body punch.
