VCDS start of injection modification / ALH timing 

On my old 110 TDI doing this it gained more MPG and it went like a rocket. It was already mapped to 158BHP with bigger injectors etc.

Will this solve cold start problem ( start from first try but with difficult )?

What year is this on and how does it affect performance?
