So here we are, ex vegan again. I really thought I would stay this time. 10 months and just wasn't adapting and was having serious tooth decay, digestive and skin issues. Plants hate me lol. Going more meat based, keto carnivore.

LOL. He was never a vegan. He was always plant based. Veganism is a moral philosophy and not a diet. I don’t understand why people conflate the two. Even if your health is failing for whatever reason while you’re vegan, whether or not it’s caused by the food, you see a doc, a specialist, a professional-but he does none of that and instead makes a living of his health issues on RU-vid by switching diets and experimenting with extreme ideas, similar or analogous to other RU-vidrs, such as nicado avocado or w/e his name is. It’s cringe but I get it-he wants to make money. He should get a proper job or if he really wants to do RU-vid, at least don’t mutilate your health for entertainment.

Just be prepared for the oxalate clearing/dumping that will occur. It's REALLY not a good idea to go zero oxalate after having eaten lots of oxalates. You need to taper down. But I know what will happen, you'll get strange symptoms on carnivore and then you blame the carnivore diet and then it's on again. If you would just PLEASE learn about how all of this works you'd be prepared and know how to handle it.

Casey, our problem is that we are eating way too many things. Ever notice that animals don't do this? You just said you've tried "hundreds" of food items. Birds (in nature) eat bugs and worms and fruit. That's it: three items; and they live long healthy lives. It's the same with all other species. But us humans have been tricked into thinking we need 20 or more different items. And we've become addicted and/or brainwashed into "buying" into it. Merchants make more money the more we buy. If we could get passed our addictions, we could be disease free with eating only three items. It may be boring, but our bodies would operate more efficiently if we stopped the madness of "food" addiction. What do you think?

I have similar struggles as you with plant protein and digestion. I can get maybe 40-50g of protein a day doing vegan with beans, yams, microgreens, and raw soaked nuts. I do an almond yogurt desert using fruits. I know i should be eating that first but digestion is really good 1 meal a day 15-1800 cals. After a week of this I start to feel deficient and my strength falls off to where I don't feel like excercise. I add in a sushi day and I don't feel as good same day but the next I feel re-energized. Getting around 75g protein on those days. I can't eat raw fish multiple days in a row and feel good. My digestion suffers. Right now I'm doing sushi twice a week. Seems to be the sweet spot keeping me energetic and motivated. Other days I'm all plants. Anytime I tried to add organic grassfed red meat I have horrible dreams and anger issues. The fish doesn't do me that way. In the past you supplemented with fish why not try that? It's working well for me!

Man it's like no matter what diet you choose it's so fking weird XD I stopped eating meat like 6 years ago, and my strongest point where I could do a chinup with 100 pounds around my waist was like 2-3 months ago. My vegan friend who was working out with me has gained a ton of strength quite rapidly too. My meat eating friend is way bigger, like his muscles are more obvious, but he's also been working out far longer and has a slightly different build. You have a sensitive stomach, and that shit is hard to diagnose because it can be caused by a million things. Thoughts and feelings can fk the stomach up. I think you've designed your own unsolvable problem here and will forever bounce between vegan and carnivore until you deal with the underlying issue. I think you feel better on carnivore because you know it's wrong and you know it's wrong for you to feel good doing something that is wrong therefore you allow it so the game continues. Consciousness is weird.

@@Kinesiology411Yes yes, he says a lot of things and always does the same thing. What he does not change, is this circle he keeps repeating. The diet is totally irrelevant aspect. Its always just some weird neurotic one ingredient one meal a day, where hes worried about his skin or something. It does not take an adult 10 years to learn how to eat food. If you repeat behavior like this, its because it benefits you in some way. All of these diet always solves his issues for a short time, but because its not the diet that is the problem it wont last. This is the repetition. You cant fix mental issues with diets, its what happens in his mind that for a short time works when he again "solves his issues" by changing the diet and can blame the old diet for all his issues. And this reaffirms what the problem in his life is, he needs this problem.
@plantbasedposer
@plantbasedposer 9 месяцев назад
The problem with vegan protein is that it all comes with fiber (except maybe soyfree tofu). Every time you introduce a new food with fiber your gut has to adapt to it and it takes weeks to do so. And if you stop eating that food for some time you can lose the ability to digest it (even hunter-gatherers had this problem when certain foods would be back in season). Meat doesn't have fiber so your gut doesn't have to adapt so much to eating it.
@plantbasedposer
@plantbasedposer 9 месяцев назад
Ontario fruit is WAY too acidic, it will ruin your enamel. Saurkraut is acidic too but you can handle a bit, especially if eaten with fat. Even reverse osmosis water (probably distilled too) is acidic. I think that's what causes the tooth pain on fruit. You can try low acid fruit to see if that affects your teeth (bananas, papaya, persimmon, melon).

But then I stumbled on Earthlings and all the other vegan documentaries and, yeah, you can't unsee that stuff. Most people going carnivore are just doing it because it's a fad or they like the Petersons and they never even tried just preparing their own food. You're going on it after exhausting like 100 other options and you'll probably not stick to it anyway so I don't see why you should feel bad about it. Hope you're able to finally find something that works for you long term. Maybe you need a fecal transplant or something if your gut is so bad.

It's not the food..it's your limbic system that's in a chronic state of fight or flight. Your baseline is stuck at a survival state. You need to recalibrate it and bring down your baseline and turn off alarms. All symptoms will go as a consequence and the body will be able to regulate and work like it's supposed to. @Jewlz4ever that's so great. It's such a better way to go through life. Part of what adds to my mental obsession is that I was vegan and very strict with only organic and nothing processed and almost fully raw for years. I decided to let not be so strict and let some of the dogma go in my life. About 5 months into eating some animal products, I had a major heart attack and almost died. Then I was told by 2 separate doctors that it would take a minimum of 5 years for a blockage like that to form. So now my mind obsesses even more😔. I'm happy you returned to eating meat. it was your video I saw a few years ago when you went carnivore. It was you that first got me going on to low carb and subsequently mostly carnivore with just a few plants. The difference between us is that I have now stayed with that way of eating for a few years now, feel great, and have no need or desire to change. I don't know if I am keto or not; i don't care. It is the low carb aspect that I feel is appropriate. For me, it works. I do eat macadamias quite regularly; they are the only nut that I eat. My portion size tends to be a small handful, around 10 nuts. They are satiating as a small afternoon snack and a nice crunch with a bit of salt. i no longer get gas. In my vegan days it was awful, improved a bit with low carb with a lot of low carb veg, with mostly carnivore I now rarely fart and never get bloated.

I completely diminished and destroyed the good bacteria that broke down certain protein by starving them to extinction. Once those bacteria had died it left an over growth of other bacterias which did little to break down certain veggies to a state which my body can absorb. Everything that you mentioned in your video is directly associated with wheat. If you want to go, vegan, that’s fine, but you should not eat the seeds of inedible grasses. When people go to the carnivore diet, they stop eating grains. But they mistakenly missed the correlation, and that’s perfectly natural, because we're told that grains are healthy. Why must you always be following an "ism" instead of taking the parts that work for you and applying them. Being a vegan and quitting 9 times isn't normal. All of these diets are bad for you. Basically, eat starches covered in stearic acid aka saturated fat. Limit pufa as MUCH as possible. I already feel my metabolic rate rising, I'm warmer and my stomach is finally leaning out. I'm sleeping better, energy is better, libido is better. Still hard to believe. But a low carb approach for me has been the best for myself. My macros are roughly 150g fat, 70-100g protein, and 100g carb. I enjoy sweet potatoes, sourdough bread, squashes, carrots, dates, and occasional fruit and dark chocolate. If you are coming from carnivore, SLOWLY introduce amounts of carb. 30g for a week, 50 for a week, etc. Putting 3tbsp of butter on a starch may seem completely counter intuitive but all I know is my blood sugar is better with fat+carbs vs carbs alone and I still maintain alot of the benefits that I first got from keto/carni
