Hi guys! I'm excited to finally share this video with you today! Note: I don't have full recipes (with nutrition info) on my website for the recipes shown in the video, but if you'd like me to add them, let me know! And while all of these recipes are gluten-free, they could easily be modified into vegetarian and vegan options as well. In fact, I've been wanting to make a video for vegan cashew ricotta for a while, so if that's of interest to you, let me know. What would you make with these glorious vegetable sheets? - xo Lisa
Downshiftology I just came across the video today (April 9th 2018) This Machine is AMAZING! I GOTTA have it. I love the recipes, however My Hubby and I are Vegan SO I would definitely like to see much more Vegan Recipes especially the one for The Cashew Ricotta! Hubby and I cannot have any kind of dairy or gluten we are extremely sensitive to both! Looking forward to all your upcoming Vegan Recipe Videos (AND that Cashew Ricotta Recipe) Thanks in advance! 👍
I love zucchini lasagne. A tip to reduce water from the zucchini: lightly sprinkle the sheets with salt and let sit for 5 to 10 mins. Excess moisture will come out, which can be wiped away with a paper towel. Helps a lot with avoiding watered down sauce.
KitchenAid really needs to create a Recipe book for this. I bought this for my wife as a Christmas gift, and I do like the Chicken Enchilada, I wish there would be more ideas given to us. Maybe a form of Apple Pie? Or maybe a recipe for Spring Rolls? A colorful book would really inspire more people in buying this.
my idea for apple pie is phyllo dough with the apple sheets. May defeat the principal of replacing doughs with veggies, but I believe you can have both.
I bought a kitchenaid mixer cause I love to make bread, but I was diagnosed with diabetes and can't make fresh bread anymore and my mixer has just been collecting dust. But now I can wash that dust off, I can see all the great recipes that can be made with this attachment and the price is not all that much considering the healthy food's that will be made with it. Thank for sharing this video AWESOME!!
So glad you loved it! And I agree completely David. I don't think it's pricey at all. For me, as a celiac, gluten-free bread and pastas can easily cost $5-7 loaf/package, yet an organic zucchini is a fraction of that (and far healthier). :) Hope you enjoy the attachment and create some delish recipes!
I’m not sure where you live but there are sugar replacements that aren’t Splenda. I highly recommend zing- it’s a mixture of stevia and cane sugar. Both my parents are diabetic (which means I have to prepare for that possibility for myself too) and I bake everything with it. It works amazing because it has the same texture as normal sugar. I’ve done pies, cakes, bread, cookies and I’ve never had a problem
Samantha Ring thanks for your reply but the main problem is that bread is a carbohydrate which unfortunately turns into sugar in your system and beside that cane sugar is what regular sugar is made from, I can make bread without sugar at all but it still causes my blood sugar to rise because of the carbohydrates. P.S. I live in the big city of Las Vegas, NV
Obviously you can’t eat bread on the regular but there are definitely alternatives . I’ve gotten my dad on 100% whole grain breads because the carbs are lower than regular white bread. I’m in Canada so I don’t know if zing is available in the US but I checked the package and it’s 2 grams of sugar for half a teaspoon which is a lot . It doesn’t have aspartame which is a lot better too.
Thank you for identifying products that can use current attachments regardless of its age....that sheet cutter is a game changer and might even get the spiralizer.
Amazing video! I think I could go a whole month with making nothing but sheet cutter recipes. I love how you put the recipes all together too as you make it look so easy.
Omg!!! How did I not know about this!?!?!? Watching the veggie sheets come down is like the most relaxing thing ever! So many great recipes Lisa, Thank you!
@@Jumbaride I have used the attachment a lot. But I don’t count & I am biased. I’ve worked for Kitchenaid since 2018. And YES - I would recommend the attachment for someone with a small kitchen ONLY IF they properly knew how to maximize their space. I’ve seen people do some really amazing things with small space
Wow! That is amazing! I never knew such a cool appliance existed. Omg your recipes are just so delicious looking. I wish I were right there in your kitchen to taste the dishes you make. I love your patience and the obvious pleasure you get from creating food recipes. So inspiring! Oh, and your editing talent is fantastic! You are quite a talented woman.
You have no idea how much I enjoy watching your videos .. I leave aside my tasks, homework and eBooks and just go full screen :) I guess it's the charisma you have and definitely the nice dishes you make. Nicest wishes from Yemen
Very much enjoyed your demonstrations of Kitchen Aid attachments. You've convinced me I need to get both: Slicer shredder and the sheet maker. Fabulous inventions. ;)
I just bought a kitchen aid mixer and this attachment for my daughter! I will buy one for myself too! My husband is a diabetic so I can make the zucchini instead of pasta! We are Italian and are having a hard time replacing the pasta! Thank you for the demo! I like your voice and how you did this demo! Hope to see a lot more of you demonstrating kitchen aid! Well done!💖
The possibilities you'll have with a KA stand mixer will be endless, especially as you collect various attachments; best of all, it's ALL metal construction. It will last for generations!
OMG I want this installed in my kitchen! I thought the Spiralizer was the best thing that happened to vegetables but this is perfection. I NEED THIS! The recipes are endless. Thank you so much for showing us this beauty.
I bought this because of your video and I'm totally in love with it, thank you so much for sharing. My daughter is gluten free and I'm always looking for ideas. I would love more recipe ideas and the actual recipes from your video when you get time. I've shared your video with many friends and pretty much everyone is as excited as I am. Take care! You're awesome!
I'm not vegan, vegetarian, or gluten intolerant, but I'm a fruit and vegetable lover so all of these would be like heaven lol Especially the sweet potato chips and the zucchini lasagna
I just found your channel, don’t ask me how but I can’t stop watching.... your videos are the first ones that I have come across that I feel I can incorporate into my life... even hubs, who is not so keen on GF said he would be willing to try these recipes... I can’t wait to get started
@@Jumbaride I use this attachment just about weekly. I use it for zucchini and apples to make sweet and savory wraps. Perfect alternative to flour tortillas.
I need this! For my use, this is more useful than the spiralizer. A tiny thing but I won’t have to peel veggie skins is another plus and time saving, haha. Thanks for the fun post!
I just received my attachment. I ordered it 3 days ago onlinel from Kohl's. It arrived today and was very affordable. And to respond to the "Why does everyone from California have to say that they are from California", well I am not only proud to be from PA., but I am so so very proud to be from Pittsburgh! Case solved! :) Now back to the video --- This was a great intro to the product. You are very easy to listen to and to follow. I look forward to using my new "toy" and to follow your videos and recipes. Thank you so much!
Kitchenaid attachments go on sale at Macy’s and Williams & Sonoma all the time. Be patient and keep an eye out, it’s worth it. PS the sheet cutter is on sale now., 1/13/2020. 😁
This is just worth it for the keto lasagna alone. I’m so getting this attachment and the spiralizing one too. Would you mind sharing the full recipe for the lasagna? How do you make the ricotta egg layer? What amounts do you use?
Excellent video & channel! Just bought KitchenAid Pro 600 Mixer yesterday .. looking at all the accessories, bought Food Grinder today, Fresh Prep Slicer/ Shredder tomorrow. You are delightful. Well spoken, great content, excellent editing, very good sound, well rehearsed. Superb video. I know how much work is required to produce excellent videos.
You could use this with a muffin pan. Slice some potato sheets long ways and roll it up in the muffin holes then stuff it with bacon and eggs or sausage and eggs or avocado spinach or omelette mix and then bake and have breakfast on the go
Thank you so much for this video!!! You are a bit to watch and you get right to it without the fluff a lot of other female YTers usually have. Love your presentation and knowledge of the product. Again, THANKS!!!
By now I hope you have one. See if you can put one on layaway or save up a little every month. (Have a yard sale and use the proceeds for your machine?) I've had mine a couple of years- a gift from my husband. Always wanted one! (Both the stand mixer AND a husband!) 😉
I made the lasagna two days ago and the potato enchiladas today! Lasagna Was amazing and the enchiladas will come out better next time (used the thick attachment instead of the thin and the potatoes were not cooked all the way) I also loved making snacks for my little ones tonight by using this attachment to thinly slice an apple.. very great product and actually super easy to use! I looked all over the internet for the best price and the link this video has does get you the best price out there. I can’t wait until my girls are old enough to make them little fruit roll ups with this 🤗
I was just thinking you could avoid the apple sheet turning brown by misting both sides with lemon juice as it drops down. Or, I guess you could just have a bowl of lemon water underneath, but I think you could lose some of that great apple flavor. Just a suggestion. Blessings and health to you and yours and to all who read this! 😘👍😇💖
Thank you. I'm obsessed & really desire the network to implement this in my home as a Parent. Living single, I believe with a schedule & routine & discipline. I'll be fine. Keep posting. Thank you.
Bought a kitchenaid mini mixer yesterday and say this video this morning, sheet cutter is ordered and on its way, amazing ideas for the ketogenic & low carb uses I can put this to. A great instructive & inspiring video well done!
I already have a few ideas, make sweet potato praline casserole but in layers instead of canned sweet potatoes. I bet people would eat it at Thanksgiving because they couldn't see the sweet potatoes LOL! Or make apple pie in a large roasting pan for big get togethers, or beef pot pie where the veggies don't poke through the crust. Also you could use those sheets with cookie cutters to make decorations or twirl into roses out of a firm tomato or red plum or use it to prep stuff for the dehydrator, think about how quick it would be to fill thee trays completely.... so much more than just wraps and lasagnas.
Yes, absolutely! Such fab ideas! I actually wanted to include a few more recipe ideas but then realized I'd quickly have a 20 minutes video. Haha. :) Hope you enjoy it!
Hi Lisa! Just received today for my birthday! I’ve loved it at first sight! I showed your video to my husband and today my dream came true 😀❤️. Thank you!!!
I got one for Christmas. I immediately went out and got cucumbers because I wanted to make make smoked salmon, cream cheese rolls. I went through 6 cucumbers and I got maybe 6" of usable sheets. They were firm cucumbers, but they all just got cored out. I followed the instructions. I'm not sure what I did wrong. I really want to love this attachment.
@@Jumbaride I did freeze my cucumber for 10 minutes and that was really helpful. It wasn't enough to change the texture of the cucumber but just enough to make it hold up and sheet better!
My Kitchen Aid sheet cutter just arrived. Today's the day:) My zucchini is from the garden and they are mostly monstrous. I'll have to cut it a lot before it will fit in the sheet cutter. Will be back, thank you.
I watched masterchef Australia and they used a similar product and I think that they called it a Japanese Lathe. I'm excited to see this product as there are many different uses.
iTheGeek no actually, many people have families to take care of and/ or are already overworked. Personally, I'm a full-time student and i have a job and the list of things I'd try to do before i took the precious time to learn to thinly cut vegetables is days long. Many people aren't lazy, just short on time try not to be so judgemental
You don't have to learn it. An easy way to have say for example two metal rods equal in diameter (The larger the diameter the thicker the slices) You lay the rods parallel and lay the food in the middle. You basically run the knife along the metal rods while cutting and rolling the food. The rods basically ensure that you always have an even thickness. Here's a video if you want to see what I was talking about ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-INdbmef_VL4.html
AvgJane19 I’m a full time student and I work full time. I also own my own place and take care of my boyfriend and pets, despite this I still have time to learn knife skills, everyone does have time, but most people do use their extra time unproductively.
That was just to give context that we get fresh avocados year round. Just as someone from Maine has access to lots of lobster (which we don't get in California). ;)
Is there something like this you have that doesn't include a mixer I don't have one and have no space for it but would love to have a sheet cutter like this
Don't be afraid to buy one second hand if you want one. I did for right around $100 and had it for nearly 10 years, then I sold it for the same amount and bought a bigger one. They do take up a good deal of space, but any stand mixer will.
Never knew KA made this until I did a search on the net (I was looking for a manual one). Your video popped up on the search and after viewing I immediately bought one via your link provided. Thank you for the informative video and i'm looking forward to trying some of your recipes. Thank you again!!
That is definitely better then the vasta veggie slicer wow how awesome certainly a lot less waste. Kitchen aid seems like an great brand a lot of thought put in their designs I'm always impressed by this brand.
