I have been using marcato for almost 6 years and I am in love with this assistant saving my time,😍😘💖💝💟🧿🤗😑🤗 hope I will make a video with this when I am convenient in time
The video sold it to me. I've just received mine as a birthday pressie. Can't wait to create some beautiful home made pasta. Love that it's authentic Italian.
I bought one of these about two years ago! I've used it a lot! Love it! I read quiet a few reviews on this & nearly all the negative points stem from misuse! i.e. washing the unit, I just brush rollers with a soft dry pastry brush, wipe down surface with anti bacterial wipes! I recommend this product! It is a quality unit!
I have learned the art of making pasta from 2 Italien Chefs with Michelin stars. Since then I am using the Marcato150 at least once a week. The experience of fresh homemade pasta is something
@@goober1207 500gr. Farina 00, 100gr. Semola grano duro, 5 eggs and a tiny bit of olive oil. NO NO NO salt!!!! Bring the ingredients together and knead to a firm dough. Wrap in foil, and leave it in the fridge for an hour or two. The dough must be dry enough not to stick to the surface. Thereafter let the Mercato150 do the magic. It takes a bit of practice but the taste is worth the action. Buon Appetito
Very helpful thanks, we have a Benzer pasta maker and seems similar to operate. We were given it as a freebie as friend moved house. Were going to sell it as pasta is so cheap to buy but you have made it look fun to make our own... and with LOVE! Thanks again!
Just received mine today. It’s a beautiful machine that feels really solid and well built. For the price, it can not be beat. Best of all, it’s made in Italy.
Me compré la verde y la acabo de probar con el tacapasta, realmente una excelente máquina, la mejor que he tenido hasta el momento...gracias Marcato!!!
I use my Nonna's Marcato machine from the 60's that was passed down to me from my mom. My wife & kids are amazed that their dad knows how to make homemade pasta........
@beyondchiu How do i know when it's thin enough, and did you start at first at 7? Or did you put it in order like 1 then 2 and so on until you reach 7 ?? Sorry first time making homemade pasta ?
I just ordered this pasta roller off of amazon and found this video on how to use it. Reviews appear to prove this to be a great product. Hope my cooking lives up to the Marcato name.
@@DiannaAtherton -Yes. My kids love making pasta with me. We've made Alfredo (fettuccine noodles) so far and they all love it. They fight over being able to use the machine. I've used it twice myself in the last month. The other 3 or 4 times has been the kids using it while I watch to keep fingers from being pasta-shaped. I have the forming boards and ravioli cutters too. I'm a bit of a kitchen gadget nut but this one is worth every penny. I love the Binging with Babish and Jamie Oliver pasta videos. All that to say BUY IT!!!! Lol
@@DiannaAtherton I bought one of these a few years ago. I've learned my lesson buying cheap equipment for tasks this... it's always more frustration than the cost savings is worth. This is a beautiful piece of kitchen equipment and worked perfectly. I adore fresh pasta this way. I started doing keto some 4-5 months ago, so my machine has been dormant, but with the COVAD issues, I've had to pause the keto (cooking for more than just me), so I'm breaking it back out tonight. I let the dough rest in the fridge (tightly wrapped w/ cling film) for a few hours after kneading to make rolling a bit easier.
I just ordered one of these Yesterday. Can't wait to get it. This is the same one as I used in school and i loved it so i had to have one! Update. Just received my machine. Very fast delivery! 4 days from the day I ordered it until I received it and that includes the weekend. Used it already! Fettuccine tonight, duck and leek Tortellini later this week.
@@openheartedwarrior2971 I couldn't remember, I found my receipt in my email. I've had it for over 2 years & I recommend it. Just don't wash it! here's the link. it was delivered promptly! www.careyou.com.au/?rf=kw&kw=Pasta+Noodle+Maker+Machine+
Got my machine today and think the dough i made was a little dry since the instructions didnt mention water. Either way, it just about came together and as soon as it hit the machine turned into perfect pasta sheets. Had tagliatelle with ragu and tasted great!! Now have 2 more portions of tagliatelle and 4 lasagne sheets to perfectly fit my dish in the freezer, all from 300g of plain flour and 3 eggs. Will be looking for some 00 flour next time. And will be ordering this stand soon :)
Bonjour , je vous invite à regarder cette chaine les recettes sont sympa et très facile 😉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Lx6pbZf_a0k.html c'est cook smith sammy
OK so I did the Thinner Than Spaghetti but I put my basil and parsley and seasonings in the dough then roll, lightly oiled and served with my favorite veggies 👌the bomb
@@sgt.pepper4274 Thanks for the reply! According to Amazon the Marcato 150 Atlas (model 8356) doesn't have any available extra attachments. So I went with the America's Test Kitchen's recommendation of the model 8320, which is only $10.00 more. And it's an Amazon top choice.
@@Mr.56Goldtop… There's over 10 attachments for it. I just ordered the bigoli attachment through amazon. You're overthinking this. The Marcato 150 is the Marcato 150. I don't know about the model #'s, all u need to be concerned with is whether it's an attachment for the Marcato 150. If u put Marcato 150 attachments in search on Amazon, it will come up with all of the attachments available for this model.
@@sgt.pepper4274 I saw the bigoli attachment and the pasta chart. It looks like a larger spaghetti than the regular spaghetti. Please let me know, I like thicker spaghetti.
I have that kind of machine paste but I did not see that rack inside the box's when I went through the Manuel I saw the picture of the rack on it but the rack was not inside. I need to buy new one then thanks for sharing your job was beautiful
I owned either this or one remarkably like it years ago. didn't use it very much because there just wasn't much space and it was a little bit of a pain to set up and take down, but I do remember making the absolutely best pasta I had ever had alfredo sauce with. let's just say there is no comparison between pasta you make 15 minutes before you throw it in boiling water, and pasta you buy in a bag in a grocery store.
This video is great, thanks! But just curious as to why you showed us a cleaning of an already clean machine rather than the one you just dirtied?? Find it hard that we can get all the flour off with just a brush
Is there a difference between your chrome plated stainless steel model (chrome colour) and your alloy steel model (red colour)? Aluminum vs nickel parts? Which is better, stronger?
I don't make pasta too often, so to clear any residual debris or dust from the machine, I run a piece of pasta through the machine to clean it and throw it away. Nice rack!
Just purchased one of these. I had been impressed by what I've seen by Markato, it's machining quality. Seemed great. First time using it, the rollers just slide on the dough and I cannot get it to go through. I thought maybe it was my dough, but I've done this before, same way with a 25 euro pasta machine and had no problem. Tried to first dry it out a bit, then I tried to wet a different piece, nothing working. So what am I doing wrong?
@@TheChrisTedeschi Ciao, we are sorry you had problems with the machine. Please send us a video of the problem at info@marcato.it and we will support you.
This looks like great fun but I'm never going to buy one! I'd like to have a go though 😊 at an event or something, you know like when you learn to make cocktails from an expert at a bar? Does freshly made fettuccine taste that much better than shop bought, once it's cooked in a recipe? Honest question?
I just did my first tagliatelle and only used plain flour. It was very pleasant. Theres nothing wrong with dried pasta but this did have a certain quality to it.
I guess I didn’t flour my rolled pasta enough because everything gummed up in the fetuccine cutter and I have a huge mess 🤷🏻♀️ will have to try again!
I finally got my pasta machine and capellini attachment. How thin should the dough be when you make Capellini? Anything special to think about when you make this very thin pasta? Where can I find the thickness for different kinds of pasta?
Ciao Lena, the perfect thickness for Capellini would be on n°8-9 of regulator knob. In our website you may find all information you need www.marcato.it
Just bought the Atlas 150. I've read the instructions on cleaning, basically use a clean dry rag. But, how do you sanitize it? There is raw egg in the dough, I can't image that there would not be bad bacteria that would form on this machine. One user suggested using anti-bacterial wipes, how healthy is that to ingest the chemicals? Looking for suggestions on how to keep things sanitary. How do the Italians clean this unit?
