Great video. I have been procrastinating forever on which kit to get. I am also running the JB4 and would really like to be able to control it through the app. I've been waiting for the forge charge pipe which has the tap pre drilled for meth and its also a big difference in size. Im glad i found this video because I think you just sold me on the JB4 meth kit!
Thanks, it’s just something I quickly put together. I really love the meth kit for this car. Not a huge amount of gains from just running map 7 but it seriously keeps the intake temps down and with a custom map 6 you can pick up quite a lot. Now it’s hitting 22psi safely on the stock turbo, ic and dp. Plus, just saying your car is meth injected is cool! I appreciate you checking my channel out! Decided to make videos after watching yours for a while (my channel used to be called Musclecarsornocars if you remember that name in the comments)!
@@PerformanceBlueOverYou Gains are huge because the stock turbo is small. That said, data log it and see if you get temps rise as you accelerate, mainly 4th gear. The suggested nozzle works well. Great video like to see more JB4 Hyundai/Kia installs I have this my Forte GT, vids coming soon.
You probably dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all the new series on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my gf for the last days :)
@@PerformanceBlueOverYou It plugs into the setup under your gas pedal its plug and play and the response time they say is day and night they make it for the Gencoupe it has I think 4 settings you pick which one you want for city on up to highway just look up pedal commander lots of vids out there go to their site email them they may have one for the N now.
@@cindysue5474 ah okay. I haven’t heard of that before. The N does have built in throttle customization though. You can choose between normal, sport and Sport+, and if you put it in eco mode it numbs the throttle even more. I’ve been plenty happy with the response in Sport+/N mode. I don’t think this car really needs a device like that, but I can see how it would help some cars.
How did you pop the power wire into the fuse box? If came with an end that's too big to fit into the fuse spot. Can I just sort of split the wire into 2 "hairs" and plug it into where the fuse goes?
@@BunnyBUNGALO if it fits, just get some spade connectors and link it up with the rest of the wiring. Message me on Instagram if you still have trouble, same name
I took it off at one point to make putting a rear motor mount on easier. I don’t think you have to take it off to put one on but I did. I have the splash guard back on it now 👍🏻
No complaints nearly two years in. Currently it’s allowed me to safely run up to 25psi of boost. I’ve slightly changed how I have it routed in the video and I had to rewire the pump because my original wiring came loose at one point. Other than that it’s been bulletproof.
The only issue I may or may not have encountered due to meth was going through two throttle bodies over the past 2-3 years. The last time it happened I didn’t warranty it, I replaced it myself because I wanted to inspect it and take it apart. When I did, I didn’t find anything indicating the meth was doing harm. I didn’t find any corrosion or anything, so that issue has baffled me. Otherwise it’s been great and well worth the money/time.
