Scott is on the money - one of the most challenging singers to follow (axl) and Scott W. does it with grace...class, ease & respect for the song. This gets an A+. Scott - you were one of the best front men ever. We ALL miss u. Hope u r relaxing with the rest of God' rock band in heaven.
sucks real bad addiction sucks i was addictid to haroine and meth for years it killed me three times i ben clean for a year now still a strugle everyday rip in peace scott
keep hangin on Jessy, my family has had 2 people and myself addicted to drugs and were hanging on and staying clean. Good luck to you Jessy, with your walk in life...
word.... he is only second to Mr. Bach as far as voices.... Maybe e Chris Cornell... this is awesome... My favorite 80's band is GNR and having hime do the lead is awesome....
After watching this, I suddenly understand why Scott was chosen to front velvet revolver. He's one of the few people that could cover Axl Rose and sound completely authentic and natural while doing it
There was absolutely NOTHING Scott Weiland could not sing.. I miss this man so much, heartbroken really that he is no longer to do what he did best and that was to sing and sing to his fans. I know his struggles are over, he is now at peace but I don't like to see anyone to go out the way he did. He was so so gifted and it seemed as if the industry turned their backs to him because of his struggles and he was in a very dark place when he passed, it's so not fair and it truly pisses me off.. We were blessed when he was here and as long as I'm alive I will make sure Scott's music lives along as well..Rest in peace my friend, rest in peace... !!
His voice invokes memories of a different time , for me one of discovery , self identify , very saddened by his passing but his voice allows him to live forever
While I'll always be partial to Axl's rendition of this song, Scott absolutely killed it here. He stayed close enough to the original to not alienate GNR fans, but added enough personal touches to give his version an identity of it's own. RIP Scott
i truly feel if everyone was healthy and alive he would be front man for GNR! OR VR WOULD STILL BE GOING, i like axel dont get me wrong he was a rocker but at the end of the day i dont think Axel even liked Axel, just a guess or opinion somewhat, may seam little odd but Ronnie Van Zant will always be my #1 but Scott will never lose his #2 spot ! he is the definition of rockstar by far but that comes with some demons also, he lived it to the fullest but as we all know that took him away also ~RIP SCOTT dont show ronnie up till i get there you will need help fighting him
Brett H I didn't listen to them much before, either. I was also a huge GNR fan, but I guess I just didn't give VR much of a chance. I'm learning that was my own loss. They were pretty good.
Tough to lose someone I've been a fan of unfailingly since I was 10, so strange that the music was oftrb uplifting, but it was not possible ever to see a video or interview with Scott and not worry about him. Ever
I saw him live 3 times. once front row for the happy in Galoshes tour. he looked so angry and sad. he had an intense desperate look of exhaustion. he didn't seem to be "in the moment" at all. hope he's at peace now.
I think it's the best version of this song. It is just my opinion. I love Scott Weiland's voice. And Matt Sorum's whistle was really great to listen to.
No sorry the best version of patience is when they played it at Rock in Rio 2 on the 2nd night it's incredible ..if you've never heard and seen it do your self favor.
wow. just wow. :( . Been STILL listening to a lot of SW music, and I have to keep reminding myself he's gone, he's not here any more. So thankful his talent will carry on with every tune of his that is ever played, any place, any time..............................................
"Patience" by GNR was one of my favorites... Scott does it a lot of justice... I love that Slash is playing the guitar... Say what you want about Weiland, but I know from personal experience that addiction is a hard thing to kick... He might have had the best heart in the world... I hope and believe that if he did then he will have an entryway into the afterlife...
I bloody love this version!!! I am a lover of old school GnR, and I miss the old stuff, but damned if Velvet Revolver don't rock the bloody stage away.
Yeah man it's okay bro, but not great. you're always waiting from that high-pitched screech from Axl. This always sounds like it's being played in a lower key.
Never met him live (Scott). One time it was so close, but his show was cancelled in my Country... :( One of my greatest inspiration. Great guy. Blessed and cursed at the same time, as remaining members of STP said. I am very sad that I never met him...
I really dug deeper into that person Scott Weiland for the last week. Think I understand some things better now and I'm even more thankful for what is left and will outlive for decades. Thanks for your comforting voice on this rainy morning. Rest easy, hope we'll meet on the other side.
Patience Lyrics [Intro] *Whistling* [Verse 1] Shed a tear 'cause I'm missin' you, I'm still alright to smile Girl, I think 'bout you every day now Was a time when I wasn't sure, but you set my mind at ease There is no doubt you're in my heart now [Chorus] Said, woman, take it slow and it'll work itself out fine All we need is just a little patience Said, sugar, make it slow and we'll come together fine All we need is just a little patience Hm patience... [Verse 2] I sit here on the stairs 'cause I'd rather be alone If I can't have you right now, I'll wait, dear Sometimes I get so tense, but I can't speed up the time But you know, love, there's one more thing to consider [Chorus] Said, woman, take it slow and things will be just fine You and I'll just use a little patience Said, sugar, take the time 'cause the lights are shinin' bright You and I've got what it takes to make it We won't fake it, aw, I'll never break it, 'cause I can't take it [Guitar Solo] [Outro] Little patience, hm yeah, hm yeah Need a little patience, yeah Just a little patience, yeah Just a little patience (I've been walkin' the streets at night) Yeah (Just tryin' to get it right) Just a little patience (It's so hard with so many around) Yeah (Know I don't like bein' stuck in the crowd) Could use some patience (Streets don't change, but maybe the names) Yeah (Ain't got no time for the game 'cause I need you) Gotta have more patience (Yeah-yeah, but I need you) Yeah (Oh, I need you) All it takes is patience (Oh, I need you) Just a little patience (Oh, this time) Is all you need
i LOVE you Scott Weiland. i had you in my life through music since i was a teenager. had so many awesome times with friends and family listening to your beautiful voice. all my favorites are almost all gone and i cried listening to you today. my heart breaks again. :( RIP
WOW!!!! This was an amazing treat. I know this is Axl's jam, but Scott Weiland took the cake with this rendition. And yes, the first time I heard the song "Fallen" by Velvet Revolver, I envisioned Scott singing "Patience", and lo and behold, what I envisioned him doing with the founders of GNR, came true. Man, this video really made my night. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Rick
I watch anything GNR or Velvet Revolver everynight to calm my pandemic anxiety...it works! And I wake up to Welcome to the Jungle...since that is what we wake up to now...frfr xo 💔
Scott does a beautiful job on this song. I could listen to Velvet Revolver all day. I love watching this act too. Thank you for giving me so much joy listening to your music.
Si bien esta cancion es unica con Axl's , este cover con Scott no tiene nada que envidiar a la original y esta interpretada excelentemente. En mi opinion quedo muy bien
