I have a question in regard to Karma, if I may? All we know about Robin Hood (from the movies) his motivation was to give to the poor and mistreated. Did he act out of virtue? Did he create good or bad karma? With all we learned from Ven. Robina, what are the different karmic outcomes for him from his actions (stealing, hurtig others, lying, killing etc.) in the process of helping the week and poor?

He would be hurt, he would be lied to, he would be stolen from, he would be killed/harmed, in his current life or the next because of his actions. He was even in the position he was in due to his previous actions of stealing, lying, and hurting. He was trapped in it, and would/will continue to experience suffering because of his actions, until he stopped. Wrapping a noble ideal in harmful deeds only served to cause him suffering, and those around, or involved with him. That's what I've gathered anyhow...take it or leave it. =)

Frank, I'd suggest you ask Ven. Robina this question on her web site www.robinacourtin.com/. You'll get an answer there from her but not here. Interesting question. So, can you do harm to do good and still grow good karmic seeds?
