We accidentally cut our cords too short and your tip saved us from buying a new blind. Got it all sorted in a jiffy. Such clear instructions. Thank you!

Saved $200 and time to repair service. Just bought lift cord from amazon for $25 and spent just 10 minute. Appreciate to this video.

Couldn't have imagined all these hints and tips in my wildest dreams. Ought to be a breeze for me this weekend for my shredded cord. Not having to dismount the blind is the biggest surprise and pleasure. Since my cord is not nylon, I figure I can attach (hot melt glue etc) the new to the damaged one and pull it through like you did before the finish. You are definitely an angel, thanks so much.

I would never have guessed how to do this in a million years! Thanks for the tip, it was much easier than I thought it would be. I did burn my fingers... But worth it!

I tend to be slow at tasks of this nature and it took me well over a half hour, but the 2 of us worked together and changed the frayed cord. Hardest part was threading through a grommet at the head. We ended up sanding off a bit of the burned cords to get through. THANKS for such a well done DIY video!!!

in all my 30 plus years as an avid youtube watcher this video is without question the best i have ever watched here. it had all my attention, interest while keenly enjoying each step along the way as the story unfolded. AND i just love how the movie people sucessfully managed to combine this pleasant entertainment with such handy, useful and educational info to know and learn and by including the story was a great idea to help people remeber it easier. i always love learning new things... from broom handles, doorbells, lightbulbs, cheese, bread and now i all about venetian blinds. this is my 7th time watching this video in just over a week! and starting the very next "PUT OUT THE TRASH... NOW!" night. ill be out cruising and collecting all the discarded blinds to take home and immediately repair then sell them all the next day. ill keep on doing it every week and i estimate that within 2 - 3 months ill be able to quit my job, withdraw from graduate school, payoff my car, and start setting up a nice lil vacay. this is just so cool and thank you! do you find quite a lot of discarded broken blinds in australia? and how is the demand for used / repaired blinds out there, too? i plan to start my business by telling all of my neighbours and whats really cool is that i even know three of them, so thats an incredibly handy head start!! and i will tell my neighbours should tell all of thier freinds and when their freinds tell everyone else, and then my business will be hip-hip-hippity hoppin and up-up and away!!! im already so excited and i am amazed and so very thankful to you that my life is about to go from a 50 - 60 hour work week PLUS full time grad school and teaching 4 classes over to 1.5 day easy as pie. ive always wished that some day id suddenly become a rich, self employed person after hearing all the stories over the years that they dont really self employed and all those stories of how they are all rich and dont have to do much unless they feel like it and at 1.5 days of "work" im already getting all silly & giggly and stupidly excited to start watching all that money rolling on in - YEEHAW!!

Many thanks. the video helped a lot. Although my nylon cord was shredded, the principle was the same. I had to tie the old inner cord to the new one with numerous knots - very thin knots. And gently pull the new cord through the system. Great.

Thank you, Betta (I get it, you Aussies) Blinds and Awnings! This instructional video is perfect for nylon pulls. (Note: any cord other than nylon will not melt together, but haven't noticed anything other than nylon cordage.)
