I’ve used the Venetian leather balm in black. Wear gloves! It has a lot of pigment. I had to Clorox and scrub my hands with a brush for a good 15 minutes. It will stain! I’ve always used pure neatsfoot oil and obenaufs heavy duty lp. It worked well but I was never happy with the looks after using obenaufs. This followed by blackrock leather in rich work’s exceptional. I still start out with 4 or 5 coats of pure neatsfoot oil( not compound) and then use Venetian followed by blackrock. My boots are soft and supple and very resistant to scratches and scuffing. I hit them with some kiwi after and they are like a mirror. I only do it about twice a year for everyday boots. They always look new even when worked.

I too use the neutral for most of my boots unless they are really beat and I need to add pigment. If it's good enough for Horween, it's definitely good enough for me! I like the neutral also, because it can work on all colors. Great review brother. Love your enthusiasm and energy!

What would you use on RW oro legacy leather. Venetian shoe cream or RW leather cream? You’ve reviewed both products.. thanks

Really either! The leather cream is a great default but the Venetian is a solid choice. The Venetian would be a bit more glossy and have a bit of a harder outer layer that helps with weather but may take it a shade darker. 🥾🥾

I'm always looking for shoe conditioner that will not darken! I know I'm not the only one. I have a pair of Iron Ranger 8085's that are just so pretty. And, I've ordered a pair of Nick's Roberts in the W&C latigo veg. tan that I will want to keep as close to natural as possible. Any advice? Neet's Foot?

Balm is said to have more wax in it. Wax usually equals a harder putter shell as oils and cream penetrates the fibers more deeply. I find the cream to have a nice harder shell on it than other liquid conditioners. 🥾🥾
