I saw them in the 80's I liked them then, But know they can actually play too. They always admitted themselves they wern't the most talented, but thats what made them great.
You dont need to be the best at instruments to write good songs nor dose it make good songs something's these modern brutal and tech death metal bands need to learn
the WHOLE Production is just AWFUL... Cronos` voice cant be heard, drum sounds like cardboard boxes, no bass, and guitars as if played offstage somewhere. Pity.
More like proto-black. Venom invented the name for the subgenre and sure helped it kick off, but musically they were still traditional heavy/speed metal, just very raw and angry. The first actual black metal band that defined the subgenre was Bathory, with blast beats, high pitched growling and dissonant riffing.
Cronos' bass is awesome with that fretted/fretless combination. Plus his tone is big and sludge-filled goodness. Not to mention a voice like the mouth of Hell itself opening.
year 2000, grade 10, came home one night on the weekend late, stoned and munchin. throw on tv, see loud on much music, venom - bloodlust video. blew my mind. fan ever since.
Wow. They are still good. His voice never changed at all. Still evil as it was. Great show. Listen to their stuff alot these days. Feels good and i get a rush from their music. So satanic!👍😈👿
I want to add to Gabriel's comment below: Dante is a first class drummer. Those have got to be "26 or "28 bass drums, which make sense for metal. His drums sound amazing. He's a great advertisement for NATAL, a brand I've only heard of with him. His drums are muted perfectly, mid 1980s sound. Though he can't be doing those wild motions for long -- it will catch up to him. He's a great choice for Cronos.
War Head...el resultado de un frasco de Jack Daniel's, un buen tabaco y la chingoneria de Cronos, en la voz desgarradora...no hay otra voz endemoniada en este chingado mundo
I remember being at school and in a band with this guitarist and I remember when we were 16 we followed Cronos through the Toon to the bus concourse where he proceeded to make his escape from us getting on a bus, it's funny to think Stuart ended up in Venom years later! Lol
Agree like Lars Useless and Bobby Charlton. Just accept it and shave yer head. Whilst he's at it he could try learning the bass and to sing. No fuckers gonna read this, so why am I still typ.......

lol he did actually look like that (almost) already back in 1985
except its black metal and no one cares. pest has a skullet but he rips on guitar and vocals. its almost like bow much hair someone has has no bearing on musical talent... hmm....
Yes Yes, Venom has been my music for 30 years, I AGREE, about the Demolition Man vocals, just bland raw in your face, the real sound of venom is Cronos...
I did a training course at work today and he turned round and said I have another job as well as training, I'm the band venoms manager, Andy pope. I was absolutely gobsmacked haha.
Thank you for this music, which has provided me with a brief respite from the news of the day (which has been, as usual, miserable. I do my best to keep up with current events, but something tells me it will be a long time before I read of something that actually makes me happy to hear of it). Now if only I could find the scores to all of these songs so that I could practice my sight reading
Tengo una edad en la que nunca tuve ocasión de ver a Venom... pero estoy deseando que vuelvan a España... porqué seré el primero en verlos, fijo Es un puto grupazo
