If you want to be precise, Deadpool is actually a knock-off of Venom, at least comic timeline-wise. Venom was introduced before Deadpool, and was extremely goofy and silly. People can love or hate the Venom movies, but the humour is very comics and character accurate. The 'darker' Venom didn't originate until later comics, and people who are actually fans of Venom from the comics were probably introduced to him as a silly character. Venom has also gone back and forth between villain and anti-hero numerous times, sometimes fighting with Spider-Man, sometimes against him. That was the case of most comic characters.

I agree with what your saying but id only say that with Ganondorf we first meet him he is already an evil adult maybe there is a story to tell with venom he literally didn't exist until after Peter became Spiderman built out his Rouges gallery and then went to space and got the black suit, these movies changed Venom's orgins and thus fundamentally changed what the character's purpose was

@@eastwaters4082 I don’t think showing a lot of blood, intestines and people getting dismembered in detail is necessary to understand what is going on. I didn’t even like that in Logan because if you bring that much realism into the violence it makes the heroes look more like a psychopath who casually dismembered tons of people in an extremely violent way without giving it much thought. I get why you would want to see something like that in a horror movie like Saw, but I don’t need that in a superhero movie that is supposed to be more fun and have a hero you can sympathise with. But I might be the only one that sees it like that since I notices there are tons of people who watch compilations of people getting serious hurt and think that that’s funny.

Also, Joe, Alex (I think) and other Joe, all say they are Sly Stallone fans, I’m a big fan myself, but then never watch or review anything he does. Never did any Expendables movies, haven’t done the Rocky movies, haven’t reviewed Tulsa King, Haven’t reviewed Samaritan either. They probably won’t bother with Cliffhanger 2 or Demolition man 2 when they come out either.
