Carnage didn't even get to kill a main character but Spiderman 3 Venom did, 💀

These movies have the same problem. Any symbiote not venom gets killed off and that's a poor way to do them especially Carnage.

For a fact the reason they made this PG-13, was soley for Spider-Man

Venom at this point could be a character on The Simpsons.

Why would she invite Eddie (her EX) to dinner to tell him that she’s going to get married and then get mad at him for not being happy for her, am I missing something here lmaoooo…….. women

In the comics, carnage and Cletus are so crazy and similar that they don't say we , they say I because the symbiosis is so strong Screw this movie

Shriek was fucking lame, a McGuffin just to defeat Carnage in the end and to have a sudden change of heart. You mean to tell me her and Carnage go around fucking everything up but she wouldn't let Carnage kill Ann? Lmao. Also not having Cletus/Carnage symbiotic down to their blood level was complete dogshit. Carnage should of been top dog in this movie but they ended up ruining him in the final fight.

I don’t like the fact that they made Carnage to have two different beings. Since the symbiote is inside Cletus body, that would mean he takes all control of it.

A scene i thought was dumb, was when shriek was attacking the cop atop the church. She was literally killing him, hanging him from a chain around the neck. Carnage decided it was time to kill the girlfriend. So he picks her up, and climbs the church. Once atop, shriek decides that carnage has gone too far, and intervenes.. why? She was literally killing the cop, but carnage wanting to kill the girlfriend was TOO EVIL .. Dumb

the part where Venom says he has knowledge across multiple universes is a foreshadowing of king in black

About the end credit scene, I don’t think anyone is talking about how the spell brought Venom in the MCU but it also didn’t make the world forget about Spider-Man or his secret identity it just announced it to the multiverse, and that’s how Doc Oc and the other villains get the drop on Pete as well as the other Spider men get called into action.

Honestly, I have a hard time getting hyped for Venom in the MCU without having already gone through the Spider-Man symbiote suit arc.

I think that Eddie acts so weird and is all cracked out and jittery is because he has venom in him and it's messing with him even though that they are compatible it's not perfect because when we see venom leave Eddie he's finally normal, acts and moves like a regular person.

I was so happy that they made a Venom movie and picked Tom Hardy. But he is a anti-hero. He kills and they are not whining little bitches. Stick to the comic version and everyone would love the movies. Why is this so hard to do? Carnage is supposed to the scariest thing on earth. Blood, guts, gore horror. In short it's gotta be Rated R!!!!

I’m guessing toxin got on the cop while carnage was holding him hostage, but if that’s the case Ann should of got a symbiote too. And they did mess up Kassidy and carnage bond because Kassidy insane mind was supposed to be completely taking over by carnage and Kassidy doesn’t mind since all he wants to do is kill.

The amount of people that are impressed with this movie purely because it had that end credit scene is depressing. It could be the most average movie of the year but get hyped up because of that small addition 🤦‍♂️. Brainless fanboyism only makes the things you like get treated with less effort and respect when they know you'll happily accept whatever they put out. Being overly critical is bad being fairly critical to better the thing you love isn't.

I couldn't stop cringing when VENOM was in the club.

Venom recognizes Spider-Man’s because in Spider-Man 3 the symbiot was attached to Peter, in a dif universe. So it makes sense that the dr strange whoops will now introduce venom into the spider verse.

So the whole scene of the cop having his eyes glow doesn’t mean shit because Eddie is now in a different dimension.

I really loved the way carnage looked when he first came out to full form.

This was my biggest fear for this movie, carnage just cannot be in a pg-13 movie hes to brutal, and from this review it sounds like they pussified him.... so sad bc venom is my fav comic book character

So I'm thinking with the end credits scene Eddy's appearing just when No Way Home is taking place setting up for a end sequence where the 2 will meet. Cletus got his head bitten off in that universe, but I'm thinking he'll be alive in Peter Parker's universe. Only because the only other Venom would be Flash Tompson but he's in Pete's grade. Cassedy somewhere ALIVE in prison. History does tend to repeat itself.

While in a different universe, Ultron did more Carnage than Carnage himself..in less than 30 mins screen time..

Who else is watching this cause they don't care about the movie, nor going to pay and watch it when it is first out? I'll wait for it when it is free on my streaming service

Eddie Brock is too awkward and tweaky here and I couldn't care less about his love life...most of the film he was just bitching anyways "I just want to have a normal life *wah*". Venom behaves like a hyper 5 year old, I just don't like this version of Venom. He's the not-so-lethal protector here since we don't really get to see him be the anti-hero and kill the bad guys. Venom's not supposed to be cute dammit lol. We get an odd-couples banter sitcom with cringe jokes all over. Wonderful. Cletus Kasady is too violent and obscene to have him be on a damn pg-13 film, hence why Carnage is way too tame in this and why I wasn't looking forward to any of these Venom films. I liked the Carnage character design but his voice sounded too close to Venom's. Oh and here's Shriek for some reason idk, might need her later. I guess we'll give Cletus Kasady a love-interest too, which is essentially an oxymoron because Kasady is supposed to be the embodiment of evil and chaos. Lovely. Final battle was underwhelming, Carnage was defeated to easily, oh coo thanks Shriek. Dammit Carnage is supposed to be OP AF. Lame. Music was meh. Visuals looked coo I guess. 3/10. I swear to god if we get Topher Grace Venom in the MCU😠...I will do nothing because I'm not in charge of IP License. I will sit there and take it like the rest of yall and write another essay that no one will read.

Here's the thing about cletus getting a symbiote via biting. It's not any less dumb than the comics, where venom literally just left his spawn laying around and one of them infects cletus.

Venom is my all time favourite villain and I really can't care about this. Actually I hate this. There is nothing unique about Spider-Man and Venom fight if there is no development of the relationship between Peter and Eddie. It will just feel like a WWE match between two very popular wrestler. Marvel tried to do this right in Homecoming and Far From Home with the villains they used but seems like Sony doesn't care about the story at all. They just want quick money.

Carnages birth was really that easy in the comics too. When Venom breaks out of jail, he leaves behind a scratch of itself on the bars. Kassidy just picked it up and a new symbiote is born! Easy as 1 2 3.

I personally liked the movie, just didn’t like Shriek felt like she wasn’t needed. Also the after credit scene made the whole movie worth watching for me.

Another issue I had with Carnage, is that he is supposed to be intertwined with Cletus' bloodstream. I didn't like how he was separated from him at the end before he died. And another thing. Isn't Carnage supposed to be more resistant (if not fully resistant) to loud noises, compared to Venom and other symbiotes? Why did they change that here?

Amazing. An end credits scene lasting 1 minute and 25 seconds has probably saved this franchise.

The thing is, the spiderman broadcast is just happening when Venom appeared, but everything in the Spiderman trailer shows, Dr strange did the spell much later, possibly a few days later..so how can it be the spell? Something else?

My only guess about how Toxin was created is that when Shriek gouged Mulligans eye out, some of Carnages pieces flew off when Venom and him were fighting and got into his eye, and mixed with his blood. Maybe. I don't know, it was literally completely out of nowhere.

I was so afraid once I heard it was going to be a PG13 film. Did not do carnage any justice

About time. Literally the main thing to Venom's charachter is that he desires Peter Parker as a host more than anyone, including Eddie. He considers Spider-Man as the ultimate host and his literal absolutely perfect host. That's why after Venom bonds to Eddie he still resembles Spider-Man and makes "webs" of his own.

The end credit was a result of the Loki series not a spell from Strange

I think if we saw Carnage doing things like refusing to be in a wedding and arguing with Cledus a lot more, then we would have a better parallel dynamic that they were going for at the end. Venom and Eddie both say that they arent symbiotic, so that should have been emphasized a lot more. Even in a non action/non shriek scene where they argue.

R rated body horror venom movie that’s done as a stand-alone like the joker. Directed by leigh whannell. A man can dream.

Technically carnage could be back bc Tom Holland is in a separate universe and cletus kassidy could still be alive logically

To me the cops eyes at the end were the same blue hue as Shriek and Shriek did say you can’t kill a ghost, so I imagine Shriek now inhabits the cop

What kinda bother me is that shierk doesn't have her own symbiote which clearly in the comic book but instead she is just a person with screaming powers.

They made a really toned down movie so venom can be in spiderman, it's a shame

This movie could’ve been better if Shriek was not in it and it was made rated R. The pacing was way too fast and it left me feeling like there were missing scenes.

Maybe is the same venom from the Toby films , or he recognized the sipdy suit , and he shared memories from other universe venom from the Toby film ?

I don't care about the movie. But that Post Credit scene got me hyped.

Pat mulligan the cop in the movie is the host for toxin which I believe is carnage’s spawn.

So I think I can tell what makes me really like the movie is that I have not read a Carnage comic. The only intro to Carnage I had was the animated Spiderman series and the 2000 Spiderman game. So This movie was a serious step up and probably the best onscreen interpretation we're going to get.

If you watch the far from home trailer you can briefly see spiderman in a black suit. Now that venom is in the mcu, perhaps he bonds with Peter temporarily, before returning to Eddie?

Guys you are thinking about this on surface level. The symbiote connected with kassedy when he bit him and chose to transfer to him. Just like it happened in the comics. Think about it, Venom has been wanting to go out there and destroy things, part of the symbiote transferred for this reason. There are far more things about this movie to not like but how he got the symbiote isn't one of them imo lol.

So does that mean Venom has the memories of venom from Spiderman 3 ?

Also when cletus girl all of a sudden changes her mind about killing at the end is so weird. The end was a cool fight visually, but didn't make sense. Carnage can't separate that easily. Deciding to kill off Cletus is dumb. Toxin hint, now who's toxins enemy? Venom only? especially if they ever make a movie I honestly hope they don't make anymore venom tbh, they will ruin toxin. It's gonna be the same thing over and over. Eddie and venom relationship problems, fighting another fuckin alien... About to fail, but suceeeds by venom finding its WAy back to Eddie Great.. We've seen that last time.

It wasn’t that Eddie got bit that made cletus carnage. It was that venom produced a offspring and it traveled into cletus from the bite by eddies blood. Like how in the comics cletus has a cut on his hand and the offspring falls into the cut and makes carnage.they just switched who’s blood it transfers from

This movie definitely has to many diverging points and plots to where it feels bloated. I will say I wish there were more scenes like when Eddie uses his journalism skills to find the house where Cletus and shriek stayed at, but put it more towards finding carnage after he escapes and putting clues together. All it boils down to is add a bit of batman flavor to Eddie's arsenal.

They should've done what they did with "Logan" a rated R movie and it was fantastic because it captured the full potential of Wolverine and his daughter and what they're we're capable of.

Venom and Carnage is my favorite comic book characters and these movies just makes sad,They could do so much more creative and serious stories with these characters but Sony keeps refusing to listen to fans and just wants some easy money every time with their lazy writing.They're trying so hard to make these movies look like its from MCU by ham fisting humor in it and not making it R rated.Tom Hardy Venom potrayal is good but we provably will never get a comic accurate Carnage ever.

This explains why the Spiderman trailer had like a silhouette shot of Venom. Similar to others, he has been "zapped" into the MCU universe due to Dr Strange's spell.

Took the wife and daughter to watch it last night at the Latin Cinema, which was in Spanish, for the wife. They had one starting every single hour. It was packed when we went. Joke were still funny in Spanish. For what it was it was good. I couldn't stop thinking NATURAL BORN KILLERS, shades of it at least, story wise and characters. 🤘🤠

Carnage can completely reconstruct from a single drop of blood, so hopefully someone in the MCU can do something more with him

I hated it, that wasn't my Venom or Carnage, that wasn't what I grew up reading in fact it respected none of the source material, they say Lethal Protector so many times it's almost like a big middle finger, it's like Sony are saying "we know about the comics but we're not going to do any of that so fuck you and give us your money" I was so hyped for this movie, it's reaffirmed my want to not watch anymore films made from now on, it's actually triggered my depression from how disappointed I was with it, fuck cash grabs

More than the Spider-Man universe hype, I was actually more excited for the King of The Black set up when Venom talked about the hive mind. It might be decades in the future but the set up is there

Well originally Venom can reproduce anytime he wants and he does not need anything... So I think they handled this one pretty good... Would be pretty dumb if he made offspring intentionally for Cletus since he is an anti-hero in these movies not an actual villain (yet) as he is in the comics.... Its pretty hard to think of different way how to create carnage when brock is not in the prison with Cletus as a prisoner....

I like the movie. However, I hope that Carnage comes back in the MCU post Deadpool so that we can have some real carnage. And a perfect symbiosis. Cletus and Carnage are usually a perfect symbiosis, so hopefully the MCU Cletus Kasady will have a perfect bond with Carnage.
