Right! And Venus is still the hardest hitter on tour lol I think she has one of the fastest serves still and fastest backhand winners. She generates alot of power by pulling the racket close to her and using her height. Venus is even more dangerous because she doesn't play every point full out she has an auto immune disorder so she paces herself and only goes full out every other point. She's playing a mental game she makes her opponents think she's out of gas and the next point she smashes the ball back cross court. You can literally see how confused her opponents becoming. There were atleast 13 balls Venus definitely could have gotten to with her height and speed but she didn't even try. And then a ball almost impossible to get she'll get later in the match she's changing the rhythm constantly from Defense to offense.
Still one of My top fav Vee Matches. Giorgi was Some a Confident lil firecracker with lots of power and Precision. GREAT comeback,Defense,Adaptability and grit from thee Venus legendary Williams
This match was very tricky. Had Giorgi gotten the double break, I think she would have won it. However once Venus saw that Giorgi couldn't rise to the occasion Venus calmed down. Its hard to explain but with players like Giorgi and Sprem, they have lots of game and should have snatched up more titles but they just can't serve out important matches when they have to think about it
Camilla Giorgi , is soooooooooooooooo arrogant , she came to play in Rogers cup , she never wave a hand to the public , even in the beginning and the the end of a match .. i wissh she never winns
