I heard Vern when he was on the radio but never really followed him. What a mistake that was! This year I stumbled on one of his songs and I was instantly taken back by his voice. He projects his in a unique way that’s different from, say George Jones. I’ve downloaded most of his songs and listen to him at home and work. Wish I had gone to a concert of his, but I’ll have to settle with his wonderful recordings.
Only my opinion but I heard George Jones and Loretta Lynn saying we must have been out of our minds and again. In my opinion, Verne Gast and saying that song better than George Jones.!!
