Krayt has too much dark side energy to given. He is a tailor made opponent to be countered with vapaad and shatterpoint. Mace will get an overwhelming amp just as how he got with Palpatine. Krayt doesn't even come close to the level of Palpatine. Easy win for Mace .

+Conner Gilley Vitiate got his ass thoroughly kicked by the Hero of Tython, a character who is nowhere near as good as Mace. Vitiate's lightsaber skills, as I said before, are shitty, and while he is certainly a powerful force user, Mace is no slouch there, either. While I will admit my initial comment was an overestimation of Windu, I also think that just as many people underestimate him as those who overestimate him. Windu's Vapaad is an upgraded version of Juyo, and his style of Juyo blends all forms of lightsaber styles like a battlemaster, yet his force abilities are exceptional, and he does make use of them, just not as often. I no longer think he is a semi-perfect Sith exterminator, but he'd be more than a match for Vitiate. Vitiate, despite preferring to use his force abilities over his lightsaber, seems to have a somewhat similar style to Palpatine in his stages of combat: use a lightsaber, and if that fails, fall back on the force. Granted, Palpatine is a much better lightsaber duelist, but Vitiate's lightsaber skills are so amateurish that Windu would likely be able to butcher him before he has a chance to bust out his force abilities, and even if he can't, he'd be able to corner him and prevent him from using anything other than basic force lightning, which is nowhere near as potent as Palpatine's and Windu could likely safely reflect.

***** Thank you. To me, Sidious wasn't really counting on Anakin to show up, but when he did, Sidious simply adapted. He legitimately thought he could kill Windu on his own, but he couldn't, so he simply used something else when it showed up. Had Anakin not shown up, or if he had simply not interfered, Sidious would have been defeated: Mace has used Shatterpoint to suss out Sidious's weakness and, at that moment, Sidious's biggest weakness was Anakin, which is why they were both trying to get Anakin to side with them.

Anakin skywalker Flies93 I did NOT say he was stronger in the force, dumbass. I just feel his usage of it is less taxing because Sidious has to rely way too much on physical augmentation. Also, it's explicitly confirmed that Yoda defeated Sidious in lightsaber combat, and as for the force bit, it all depended on the arena they fought in. Also, since the execution of Order 66, Yoda had been weakened significantly while Sidious became more powerful, giving the latter a big handicap for that specific fight. Had they fought on neutral grounds, Yoda would have slaughtered Sidious.

@@Comedy-up5ck Sidious didn't beat Yoda. Yoda disarmed Sidious and threw his force lightning right back at him. How is that losing? Yoda fled the fight because there were many, many stormtroopers about to join the party. I do agree that Mace wasn't as strong in the force as Sidious but that's it. Sidious didn't purposely lose the fight to Mace, he got beaten plain and simple. What I don't understand is why Mace had to bring his arm back so far to deliver the killing blow. It's a lightsaber for God sake not an axe or sword where you need to build up momentum. All he had to do was to drive it straight forward through Sidious and be done with it.

***** I think Sidious got 'lowballed' because he was placed so high for years in so many fights. Noone could touch him. Besides in the end the same people in the EU lore still stood the same chance as they did in battle boards than before. To me I think, it was an insight on people who can contend against him and not get roflstomped, as stated by many Sidious fans (in many battle boards) Which was why noone would dare use/make a video/ or call out Sidious he was just so high. The only people who could do anything was GM Luke or Yoda. That vid pretty much broke down Sidious using his character, his traits attributed to his fighting style. How he ACTUALLY views lightsaber combat. His actual physicality. His over powering presence in the force. Though I do disagree with who can and cant take him on. Pretty much my thoughts on the video. Way too much hype on what Vapaad, as though it is the answer to everything. There did seem to be a slight bias towards Windu in all of this.

You are aware that Sidious was a horrible duelist, right? Yes, he was pronounced a master of lightsaber combat by Plagueis. But one: He hadn't touched his lightsaber in thirty years because there was no way he could practice without giving himself away to the Jedi. And two: Sidious hated lightsaber combat. The only reason he practiced the art was to one-up the Jedi with their own weapon. The reason he kept up with Mace was Force Speed and Force Augmentation, nothing else. And if you don't believe me, see the Forcecast's video on "Darth Sidious is NOT invincible!!!"

Vaapad is one of the greatest answers against a Dark Side Force user. The thing is - they'd have to be people like Sidious or Maul - people who give themselves over to the Dark Side and let it fuel their rage. That's exactly what Vaapad counters. Where the problem arises is if an opponent doesn't channel the Dark Side through their lightsaber dueling as much and instead remains calm and collected, so like Vader. Windu vs Vader? Vader might actually take that one.

I agree he was bias but he brought up some good points. In the end Darth kyat will win. Mace windu would get his ass handed to him on a sliver plate.

Krayt's feats against those Imperial Knights negates any possible dueling edge Mace would have. Far more than being slightly better Jedi at combat, the Legacy era guide explicitly states that Imperial Knights are even better when fighting as a group.

That makes more sense I didn't read those comics so my only info on the darth krat era I have is in these videos I just though he made the power because I've never seen a pre darth krat timeline when that creation of shatter point was used so I kinda thought he made the power useing his passion for saving his master

Those may be true, but the benefits and weaknesses remain relatively standard for Krayt, not to mention that dual blades also sacrifice strength, and practitioners are left with just as many weaknesses due to the extra options, so the extra blade does let him down in a sense, therefore reducing his aforementioned edge. Also, you can defend and attack at the same time with a single blade if you think about it. You can dodge one blade and parry the other, or combine an offensive and defensive manoeuvre together. Just because dual blades better enable you to deal with large groups of enemies, that doesn't mean that you have less chance of surviving with a single blade, nor does it mean you are not as well equipped. Especially if you have mastered Shii-Cho, Soresu and Niman. Dual blades also do not increase your chances of winning a lightsaber duel, as you can still be disarmed and left open to unarmed combat and damage caused by foreign objects, especially if the opponents skill level is high enough.

I listened to it several times. And again now. I still hear unmatched by ball, by Yoda, Anakin and Sidious. Perhaps you could try to speak clearly and correctly use the English language before whining that your poor use of the language leads to confusion. It's funny that you think the problem is that someone isn't 'pay[ing] attention' when you yourself had to moments ago concede that you've been incorrectly using words for a while now. Son, I do pay attention when I listen to something. If you'd paid as careful attention when you were in school as I do when I listen to anything, well, you'd avoid making so many obvious errors.

+The Primordial emphasis on arguably, also Krayt is more powerful than Nihilus and Plagueis, easily. If someone were to debate me that Sidious and vitiate were stronger than Krayt in the force (which they probably are) I'd take that point back, but Krayt is the most well rounded Sith of all time in my opinion, he's got the physicality and the lightsaber skill to the top tier, he's basically the definition of "Niman Sith" doing it even better than Exar Kun in my opinion.

Mace was fast enough to fade in and out of existence, according to Anakin. He's also destroyed droids by striking them with his bare hands and has released Force Waves blasting back a couple hundred Super Battle Droids at a time. And I don't know if you realise the full extent of Vaapad, but the more powerful the Dark Sider, the more powerful Windu becomes. In the Forcecast video where they explain how the fight between Sidious and Windu played out, they pointed out that Sidious gave up the fight because he sensed Anakin close by. He wanted Anakin to interfere to fully make him fall to the Dark Side. Had Anakin been confined to the Temple, however, Sidious would've had to go all out. And can I also mention that Mace was field testing Vaapad? He had never used it before and it was working on the most powerful Dark Sider of all time period. Yes, Krayt had a more combative edge and will pretty much beat Sidious every time. But Krayt has not electrocuted an entire planet with Force Lightning. He has not held Battle Dominance over the entire Imperial Fleet. Sidious is simply more powerful in the Force. Now what I'm getting at is this - Sidious was definitely a horrible duelist. The only reason he was able to keep up with Mace was because of Force Speed. However - if he had gone all out during that fight, he'd notice Mace would be dead equal to him because the Vaapad loop would amp up Windu to the same extent as Sidious. Sidious would just keep amping himself up and Windu would just keep reflecting it back until Sidious simply exploded due to an overload of Dark Side energy residing in his body. The question is not wether or not Mace would win that fight, it's if he would survive that explosion. Krayt is definitely a better warrior than Sidious, mostly because the Tusken are practically born with swords in their hands (though not literally, as that would no doubt cause irreversible damage to the mother). This means he's already a more dangerous fighter than Sidious, seeing as how he's an excellent duelist (in contrast to Sidious). But he still uses the Dark Side too much, meaning Mace can once again feed off of him. I think it'd play out the same way as it would with Sidious if he hadn't held back. Mace would best Krayt eventually because they're dead even all the time. The more Krayt amps himself up, the stronger Mace becomes. It's just a question if Mace would survive the massive explosion of Dark Side energy. Which, honestly, I don't think he would.

Other than Palpy's fight (which was the extremely controversial and Sidious probably threw) most of his accolades are word of mouth. you look at his fights against Sora Bulq, Ventress, and Depa and it shows that Mace is overrated. MMM well the Episode 3 novelization would seem to suggest otherwise. In fact I think it outright says that Sidious lost fair and square. Where I will give it to you is that it implies that Sidious knew completely that he couldn't win the fight from the very beginning and thus orchestrated and engineered a situation in which it wouldn't really matter, ultimately due to the wildcard that is Anakin. I think this actually adds to Sidious' character rather than taking away from it. I think its important to show that Sidious while powerful wasnt just some berserker that acheived his means through raw skill or something of the likes. Rather it was his brilliant and frankly genius skill with manipulation that allowed his plans to come to fruition. When suddenly introducing the idea that "oh he was just messing with Windu and could've basically defeated him at any time" just takes away gravitas and meaning to the situation. It feels more real and exciting to know that there is a lot on stake, that Sidious is actually facing a challenge and only through his brain power is this ultimately going to work. When you think about it, this was probably one of the defining moments of his life, it shouldn't just be a curb stomp, it should be a challenge.

Mace windu defeated sidious, HERE IS THE PROOF. When people claim " sidious threw the fight on purpose to turn Anakin to the dark side " they prove that they have forgotten or misunderstood everything in every star wars movie. Claiming sidious threw the fight is wrong on so many levels. 1# after Anakin cut windu's hand , he didn't smile, jump for joy and say " yay ! I'm finally a darksider " he dropped his saber, falls to his knees, slumped his shoulder and said " what have I done ?" Anakin expresses regret. He then says " just help me save padme " in a very remorseful way. These are not the actions of a man who has embraced the dark side. anakin assumes that he has no other choice at that point. SIDIOUS DID NOT TURN ANAKIN. #2 this claim assumes that sidious sensed anakin coming. but this is flatly contradicted by the fact that Lucas has already established a reoccurring theme in all star wars movies for letting the audience know when a character on screen senses something that we can't see. Facial expressions, verbal statements and physical gestures are the indicators. Here's a list. EP 4 - when alderran is destroyed , obi wan GRABS HIS CHEST, SITS DOWN AND FURROWS HIS BROW. Luke asks what's wrong ? Obi wan says " I felt a great disturbance in the force ,as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror ". EP 4 - when the falcon arrives at the death star , vader says " I sense something , a presence I haven't felt sense......" EP 5 - when Luke is hanging on for his life he says " leia hear me" then we get close up of Leias face saying " Luke"......." , we have to go back I know where Luke is " EP 6 - Luke senses vader on the star destroyer and says " vaders on that ship.......I'm endangering the mission " EP 6 - vader goes to sidious/Palpatine and says he senses his son, but sidious' vision is so clouded that he doesn't sense Luke , but vader tells him AGAIN " I have felt him" EP 1 - ki adi mundi says to Anakin " your thoughts dwell on your mother " Anakin says " I miss her " EP 2 - Anakin and obi wan stop in the middle of their conversation when Anakin senses padme is in danger , obi wan says " I sense it too " EP 2 - when Anakin looses his mom, yoda is across the galaxy but he tells mace " I sense Skywalker is in pain" EP 2 - yoda sense the dooku duel and requests a ship. EP 3 - yoda drops his cane, clutches his chest and looks like he's having a stroke when order 66 happens. THERE IS NOTHING IN THE WINDU VS SIDIOUS FIGHT TO INDICATE THAT SIDIOUS SENSE ANAKIN !. How can he sense Anakin Skywalker on courascant when he couldn't sense Luke Skywalker on endor. All his senses were focused on surviving windus fury,l. Sidious didn't sense when Anakin was about to throw him to his death. But thats only the first reason the " sidious threw the fight " claim is bogus. 2# when you say sidious threw the fight to look weak in front of Anakin, because he needed Anakin to betray mace to turn to the dark side, it assumes Anakin needs to think sidious is weak and that the jedi are corrupt in order to turn and save him from mace. But why mace why not one of the weaker jedi ? The smart thing would be to pick off windu, kit fisto and one other and leave the weakest jedi left to use as a sacrificial lamb just in case Anakin doesn't turn, unless you claim that sidious already knew that Anakin would turn in which case it makes no sense for you to say " sidious lost to mace to turn Anakin" sidious would have just killed all 4 jedi and told Anakin anything and Anakin wouldn't have arrested or killed him because he thought he needed him to save padme ( besides, he wouldn't have been able to arrest him ) there's no way sidious could have expected Anakin to think he's weak, you have the bodies of three jedi masters in the office , a trail of destruction leading to the shattered window where sidious is throwing a barrage of lightening at mace AND YOU WANT ME TO BELIEVE SIDIOUS IS PLAYING POSSUM WITH MACE ? But the biggest giveaway is that despite the fact that mace and sidious have been fighting, sidious is still alive ! Have you forgotten that mace defeated a battalion of battle droids on dantooine with his bare hands, he created vapaad ( the deadliest lightsaber style) he can see shatterpoints through the force ( which means he can see his opponents weaknesses) he lead the jedi into the geonosis pit where he took off jango fetts head. And in episode 1 when qui gon asks for Anakin to be tested , yoda looks to mace for the final judgment and mace shakes his head and says " bring him before us " so 900 year old yoda looks to mace for wisdom sometimes. And mace uses the force to crush general grievous' internal organs explaining why grievous is always coughing in episode-3 . Sam Jackson requested a purple lightsaber but the 'in universe ' explanation is that the light side of the force is used by the jedi who use blue sabers and the dark side is used by the sith who use red sabers, so mix red and blue and you get purple which is a representation of mace balancing light and dark thus making him the only force user who mastered both sides of the force while never falling to the dark. At the time of the duel, windu had literally spent the last three years of his life in constant battle. Whether on the front lines destroying battle droids or engaging in one on one duels with fallen jedi master depa billiba ,whom mace taught vappad or sora bulq , the weeqay jedi master who helped mace develop vappad and the dathimiri witch mother talzin, amongst many others who he fought in comics. Meanwhile, sidious is sitting in his office having political discussions, sidious hadn't fought in a lightsaber duel since he was a teenager training with darth plagiues, it's irrelevant to say he mastered all lightsaber styles because if you don't practice daily you lose proficiency, use it or lose it. I mention this because you act like mace is some wimp. Lucas himself said mace beat sidious , and that yoda and mace are the only ones that can duel with the emperor. You act like sidious is god , but he looses his lightsaber duel with mace and when he shoots lightning mace just deflects it and fries sidious. Sidious definitely lost his duel with yoda because he puts his light saber away and runs away from yoda like a coward and proceeds to throw stuff at him from a distance to avoid dueling with yoda. But yoda chases him and fires up his saber about 3 times ,as if to say " stop running and fight me punk" but cowardly sidious shoots the blade out yodas hand and shoots lightning but yoda just absorbs it with his bare hands like a boss, so the fight ended in a draw because yoda retreated but sidious didn't pursue. And when the clones tell him " there no sign of the body" instead of finishing yoda off , sidious sends his clones after him like a coward. Then in episode 6, he doesn't even try to duel with Luke , he just shoots him with lightning ( which doesn't deform Luke incidentally ) but then get thrown off a cliff by a one armed vader who just got his ass kicked and sidious doesn't even sense it coming. I mean seriously guys , come on, you act like sidious is invincible but he has the most anticlimactic and uneventful death in all of star wars, everyone dies better than sidious,!!! qui gon, darth maul, jango, dooku, mace, Obi wan, even general grievous put up a better fight at the end of his life than sidious. And the funny thing is, sidious' name doesn't even imply that he's all powerful !!! If you type synonyms for insidious you will find words like deception, shrewd, cunning, duplicitous, sneaky etc. You won't find words like ALL POWERFUL, UNSTOPPABLE, GOD, OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT, INVINCIBLE ETC But you act like it does. Many of you are simply misreading the scene, you mistakenly assume that sidious senses Anakin because he starts losing after we see Anakin run to the office. but the real reason is that after seeing his three comrades cut down, mace loses his concentration momentarily because he didn't expect sidious to be that strong but quickly regains his composure when sidious points the tip of his blade at maces chest and thrusts but mace spins around and catches the tip of the blade and locks sabers with sidious, he's staring down sidious eye to eye, as if to say " you ain't that strong punk ! " at this point mace has regained his composure and starts pressing the attack , AFTER THAT we see Anakin land his ship. And if you say " but why did those other three jedi lose so quick ? " easy to explain, darth maul set a very high standard for lightsaber duels in phantom menace, so they topped that in attack of the clones by having dooku beat the guy who beat maul, and his apprentice by shooting lightning and then fight yoda. So they had to top that with sidious in episode 3 , but we already saw lightning, so they had him kill three jedi in the blink of an eye in order to establish the fact to the audience that despite the weak appearance of sidious, he is stronger than maul and dooku, but not stronger than mace. now we star wars fans already know this but many people in the crowd may not know. So yes , mace really is that much stronger than those three jedi , no contradiction . Why is it so difficult for you to see or admit that mace won ? You have some grudge against him ? And I'm not a mace fanboy but even if I was it doesn't change the fact that I'm right, you are the ones who go out of your way to concoct these elaborate convoluted theories about how your saviour sidious won, and I'm over here just giving you a simply reading of the movie, not because I'm obsessed but because I just pay attention, try it sometime
