Any females with a lower set ostomy and a small waist/ larger hip ratio? Other belts (like an ostomy specific hernia belt) just roll up and pull on the bag. Curious if this belt sits differently 🤔

What if your stoma is higher on the abdomen, like closer to the bottom of the ribcage closer to the bustline? Would the only option be a vertical belt?

I’m sorry maybe a dumb question here. with the horizontal belt how do you empty the bag when the bag has to be mounted horizontally to accommodate the belt. I tried just moving my bag into a horizontal position and all it did was pull on the seal and corkscrew the bag

Like I said in the video, I personally prefer the horizontal style, but everyone is different!

I’m a paraplegic, will be sitting most of the time, which one is perfect for me? Can i wear the belt all the time? Also, will this not cause pancaking if i have a colostomy?

I'd recommend the pro style, probably in a vertical orientation. You should be able to wear the belt all the time (I usually have 3 or 4 of them on rotation depending on what im doing and if some need to be washed). The top layer of the Pro Style is stretchy enough to accommodate a full bag, so it shouldnt cause pancaking - however if you have thick output and get pancaking regularly, you may find that it still happens (I.e. the belts dont solve pancaking, unfortunately). my advice there would be to use a lubricant inside the bag (they usually double as a deoderizing spray, such as the "hollister adapt lubricating deoderant), adjusting your diet to include more fluids and fibers, and manually moving the stool away from the stoma after output happens. Hope this helps!!

How do you wear a stealth belt vertical with jeans? With bag over over pants or under pants . Seems my stoma is in line with my waste ?

Most people wear the vertical style tucked in their jeans. If that causes any issues, just wear the belt over your jeans. Either way, you will have concealment so people don’t know you have a medical device if you don’t tell them.

2 questions. Where can I purchase the belt for my husband? His colostomy is very high up at his rib. He wears it vertical. He wears a 2 pc convex now but I’d like to know we could still use the extra 1 pc convex we have, would still work with the same stealth belt. Please let us know. Thank you.
