Let's take a good long test ride on my 2023 vespa GTS 300 SuperSports and i will tell you how its ran and of any issues over it's 2,000 kl ownership period.
I’m seriously thinking of getting one - your video is great. I ride a 1983 Vespa p200e and love it for around town and rallies but want to tour this summer and the orange super sport is calling my name, although the Matt black looks nice too!
Good video, regardless of what choice of scooter, they are great for many difference pragmatic reasons. Great in traffic on a hot day, good storage, no chain/chain tension maintenance, good fuel eco and a more relaxed ride. I love jumping on my forza, motorcycles are more engaging to ride for sure, but sometimes you just want to soak in the surroundings or run some errands.
For a scooter, it has a cool factor. Can’t remember if you have discussed the materials in the panels, from the videos they don’t look like flimsy plastic. If you enjoy the ride then it is a great bike.
Trust me, dude...they don't give away Vespas anywhere! My 2024 GTS 300 "Classic" will be delivered to me tomorrow, and she's the "entry level" GTS. Out the door, she was just over $10K (U.S.) with two accessories (fly screen & rear rack) and two slight mods (brake light modulator & reflector delete). Worth every cent! She's my third Vespa -- a 7-year gap from my last one -- and I cannot wait! Enjoy yours, sir...they're GREAT scoots!
I'll tell you from Japan. I watched your video and ordered a super sport in the same color. Added short screen and top case. I'm looking forward to the delivery.
i was looking at them but like you said the price. but also after watching all the scooter cannonball videos. doing 3 to 5 miles in 8 days on them are very hard on them. so going back to looking for my burgman 200. but over here in the U.S. we going broke cant afford to buy food and pay bills. so we going to have to wait until we get this thing in office out and maybe we can get back to normal.
I test rode a Vespa 300 at a BMW dealer that sold them (and still does) about 5 years ago. I liked the looks of the scooter and managed to get it up to an indicated 80 mph on the freeway, but handling at high speeds didn't seem as stable as a motorcycle. Plus, Piagio wanted about 30% more for a Vespa than one of their own scooter brands with larger wheels and the same engine. Those scooters handle better due to the larger wheels, but just don't look as cute. However, you hardly ever see any scooters on the highway around here as they seem to be bought mostly by students (with wealthy parents) attending Stanford University for local transportation.
