When you decided to buy the Max for your daily driver, that’s when I decided to follow suit and buy one of my own as my first wheel. Loving every minute of it.

I bought a shermax as my first wheel about a year ago. I'm so glad I did. It has hit the deck a few times, but it's a rugged beast. The latest firmware update helps quite a bit as well! I'm definitely interested in that front light upgrade.
Second-hand market greatly appreciates such in-depth reviews! These wheels will saturate it soon, and given their quality build will continue to do so in the years to come. And there will always be these videos to consult buyers. Thank you!
Hey Adam, would love to see a Patton review, I love your videos. I got it into this game on a v11 a number of years ago after watching one of your videos. Now have a v13 but looking into the Patton instead. A video talking about torque wheels would be awesome to. I’m realizing that torque and suspension is where it’s at for me. Keep up the great work!
Would be cool to see a Sherman Max with these improvements you mentioned plus 126 or 134 volts system, there aren't any wheels without suspension with such performance yet
@@VECTOR_Coasters An overlean caused by overtorquing the wheel isn't exactly a cutout but I get the idea, however this voltage even exists now, is it at least possible? I mean are there other electric vehicles with more voltage than 134.4?
@@pedrogabrielsalviano i know we weren’t talking about begode/extreme bull but i’m going to talk about them for a moment their market has always been people who want to go the fastest possible and they no longer have the fastest wheel out there (begode master pro with 98ish kph vs inmotion v13 with 105ish kph) so they NEED to up the voltage and extreme bull has a 148v escooter (i think) so they could go with 148v, c40 motor for their next wheel but i think they need to go higher then that to make sure they are they highest performance for long time but if veteran steal the 148v before begode/eb then begode/eb is kinda screwed and would have to go 156v+ in order to actually still have that edge for performance and i doubt its even possible to have a 156v+ euc i also count over torquing as a cutout because pretty much the same thing happens
Love my OG Shermie 2nd batch. Got a couple thousand miles on it (4?) and it just keeps in giving. Great performance, great range, superb handling. I use my V12 HT for commutes too and I love it but the Sherman is like driving your m3 BMW. Love the wheel and I am not interested in suspension at this point (cost, weight, size, manoeuvrability, too many things to brake, things to adjust etc.) Also, dude, @ 8:50 fire shot
Newish rider, ~500km's. Started on v12ht, needed repairs, friends lent me a s20 and then an OG sherman to use in the mean time. Both awesome wheels, had my eye on the max, but I ride 50/50 off/onroad so pre-ordered the Patton. Suspension really is a game changer. Looking forward to your review
Yes suspension is needed, additional weight acceptable because of it, but Patton... they really should redone its controller box, as controller should sit deep in the profile, not on flat surface as is done now.. sealant is needed every time when you opened the box... what they smoked, i don't know
Be aware that a light-weight charger probably produces a square wave. The sum of all frequencies is a square wave. Somewhere in that square wave is a frequency that your electronics do not like. Something that will cause a destructive standing wave.
A suspensionless EUC still has better off road capabilities than any scooter and skateboard, someone needs to make a sherman max competitor with 200+ miles of range and even more torque than the shermax
Potentially, the small custom charger (Wector) that you have, can be ordered, producing time (queue) is around 6-8 months now. I personally own two slim versions 84v (5.5 / 3A), 100v (5.5 / 3A)
Fun to watch. I bought a cheap EXN torque for $1,500 new (black board, no hole), and I’ll continue riding that, it’s fun. This looks a lot nicer, but at the price these things are, I feel like I’ll just end up buying a motorcycle. It’s really cool, but I could buy something that can be wet and take me anywhere and will last more or less indefinitely. It’s hard for me to justify these expensive PEVs, hopefully they make a breakthrough on cost and build quality.
Wow, 50:43 passed by just like that. You had me way more interested than the movie I watched yesterday. It's amazing what one can spend on accessories and gear. I'm too afraid to start adding it all up! 😅
Excellent! This is the video we want to see from you! You almost convinced me to join the Leaperkim Club, unfortunately if I buy a fifth wheel my wife will kick me out 😄
i started on the shermax like a year ago and it worked wonderful :D love it alot still and ill use it for many years to come if it hold together, which it probably will!
SMAX - after firmware upgrade range raised to more adequate. Max 30 km/h, raider 90kg, rather flat terrain, over 160 km on single charge. Before FW upgrade it was less dependent on speed, and I have never ridden more than 100 km on single charge. Now I L-O-V-E it!
Been with you for a long time on youtube, your appearance has changed! Great video as always, remember to take care of yourself! Do you plan on reviewing the new King song soon? Can’t wait to see more content from you!
Sherman will remain Sherman! I have long wanted to buy one for all the advantages it offers but I finally kept my old EX.N C 30, RS 19 C 38 and KS S18 without any regrets. One day maybe when one of them will let me go. Good video as always Adam!
Looking forward to patton coverage, and I'd love to hear thoughts on the S18 V3 Molicel, as it should be the best option for a lightweight suspension wheel atm
Come on guys no smart bms? Ninebot z10 had this years ago and this is one of the most important safety feature for any electric vehicle. Knowing what your battery is at at cell level is the most reassuring things to known for restful sleep at night
An 1800wh version with built in charging would be awesome. I doubt they'd be willing to drop the price enough to make it enticing enough for people to buy though, not with the shermax probably only being a couple hundred more. The built in charger probably wouldn't cost much of anything, but how could they resist making it a 3-400 dollar price markup for being the only one.
Love your videos. So American question here. First we had the colorful yoga pants and fun socks. Then the painted nails and now earrings? Not hating on it just trying to understand the look. Haven't seen guys with all this going on here. Maybe it's common across the pond. Thanks so much for the videos. Your one of my top 3 RU-vidrs.
I'm seriously considering getting one of these. My only two big hangups with this wheel are one, cost, obviously, but I do feel you at least get something that's likely to last long enough to get your money's worth compared to others and two the weight, I'm not entirely sure I have the strength to carry this wheel up the stairs to my apartment every day. I can just about carry the RS19 one-handed but it's a bit of a struggle, this or the even worse the 'S' weights 11-17kgs more though, which is quite a lot given I only weigh about 60kg
i don’t think the weight is a problem (at least for me) because every time i get a new wheel i think its REALLY heavy for a while but then i get used to it
@@VECTOR_Coasters I figure if it's more than three quarters of my weight it might not be a strength issue but one of balance I'm not sure if I weigh enough to counterbalance something so heavy.
@@oliverer3 every wheel i have gotten has been a bit heavier then the previous one and every single wheel i have thought was too heavy at first then after a couple hundred miles i got totally used to it so i think you will be fine but you definitely couldn’t carry it one handed up stairs
I'm with Vector. When I got my Master Pro, I thought "what an idiot, I will never be able to ride this thing". And that was after a year of riding. Coming from a first wheel RS HS, then a second after about 6 months, a V8F which I bought to teach the wife, but she never touched it, "you are an old fool and will end up breaking your neck", and I ended up riding it myself, I still own both of them and I used to ride the V8F almost every evening when I came home too tired to wrestle with the larger wheels, I like that wheel and enjoy it a lot, learned tricks with it, etc. The Master Pro was my third, bought it exactly after one year after the RS, and now, half year more into it, I ride it every weekend and I am so confident with it, albeit its 53 kg still make me sweat occasionally, but I tell you straight, whoever "masters the Master" Pro, they will never want to ride anything else further. You get used with the weight (and the comfort 😛) soooo fast! No joke! OTOH, I have no stairs to climb at my house (at least for the place I keep the wheels in) and I am on the heavier side of the Bell curve...
Great review. I still can't find a solid justification for the price on this quality level. No suspension, no seat, no pads, a lot of plastic used, impractical light and pedals. Half the necessary items are missing and it is even more expensive than some high quality motor bikes...
I liked it. The opening of the video was cool! Then went to ur signature opening. There is so much good information here that holds a lot of value! However I do wish you spoke on if you have the latest version and if not, have you been on one? Also, if someone were to purchase this wheel, how long will parts be available? It seems the euc products are evolving at a very quick rate! I'd like to see a video explaining what change is made to be considered a new version of a wheel. But thank you as always for your time adam. Great video! Wanna hire a creative director? 😮
do you sealed motor axle where wires is comming out? as by default sealed is pedal hangers, not motor axle and potentialy sand, mud, water can go into motor trough that hole
Well regarding the reliability, I saw video from Rollin Dirty. His Sherman Max cut out during light breaking. He asked eWheels and they sold 300 Shermaxes and 5 of them already failed like that. That is really not good, maybe even worse than V12HT which you hate so much. Regarding the Sherman Light - you already have such a wheel - Inmotion V12HT. V12HT has much higher pedal clearence and superior built quality and design of the wheel. Built in charger is also horrible idea for me, I want to chose the charger I use and not to be stuck with 3A from manufacturer. Wheel is also heavier carrying charger all the time. The rest of this video is very nice, thx :).
5 out of 300 is a pretty good failure rate. For the record, I cranked and did insanely hard breaking maneuver with the Max, no issues. The only time I felt a dip while breaking was when I had to do a emergency breaking after a turn, with close to no space. I had to grip the handle bar and have my 190 pounds fully geared ass practically hanging inches above the ground to make it happen.
D*** I was really hoping for more information on that adjustable charger. I was really looking for something that could fast charge and still be relatively light weight.
Hesitating in the shermax and s22 pro. Any input would be appreciated. Details: im 175lbs, speed isnt the main factor. (50/60kmh is more then fine). Range is #1. Weight #2 (gotta bring it with me in a truck during work.plan on commuting to work), I think i would also like to do some off-road and possibly stairs and jumps in the future. Im new. Would be first wheel. Dont want to upgrade a month later.(did that with eboards and it cost too much for nothing.)
Id like to know more about the 20 amp fast charging on the Sherman S. Leaperkim officially says support 15 amp and ive seen a video of a guy charging at 20 amp once. I know the packs can handle 19.6 amp at 0.5C, but was unsure of the rest of the system. Can you elaborate more please? How many times you saw it done by people without issue, etc. That would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you Adam for another great informative video! Q: can you compare the Sherman Max to the Patton ? They seem more comparative in size. I've been set on getting the S22 Pro and then the Patton came out. Now I'm twisted between the 2. Please help. Lol Thanks again! Cheers!
These accessories prices are pretty outrageous to be honest. Same analogues where i live are being made for like two-three times cheaper.. Someone is making a bank on EUC enthusiasts..
Wait, I'm kind of confused, I haven't updated my veteran Sherman max since I've had it, I didn't know I could do that, how do I go about updating my firmware?
@@mr_wrongway I think the majority is more interested in the Patton over the monster V13 (at least I am, lol). The V13 is no slouch, but I just don't see it as a daily driver.
What? Same price no matter where. The market is consistent all over. I'm in Kelowna BC. Pay the same price as someone in the states getting from alien rides as eevees in Vancouver....
