Man, dope review. I think Your conclusion is correct. If i'm paying THAT much of money for something like that, i don't want to get something good-ish. I want something perfect out of box. No custom pads, no custom pedals, no suspension mods, no 3D printing. Take out of box - ride.
Yup, when top end wheels started creeping past $4000 USD I went out and got myself a motorcycle instead for that kind of money. Agree with your sentiment
@@RajinderYadav Honda groms get 150+ mpg, i don't have to pay for parking, and insurance is $30 USD per year. It's also road legal, can pass toll roads legally, carry a passenger and won't cut out at 55 (real) mph at 50% battery. I own 2 wheels, 2 bikes, and 2 cars. They all serve a purpose. $4000 for an EUC does not serve any purpose for me.
You can't drive a Honda grom every where you can drive there one wheels . to me these are more convenient. take them to parks ride them on the sidewalk in the roads wooded areas and so much more . And the experience and thrill is so much more fun then a gassed grom
I got this wheel for my very first wheel in April. I've now got 1000 miles on it and I'm so glad that I chose this one to start with. Thank you for making videos like this so that folks can get an idea of how these awesome machines perform in the wild.
Wrong Way does it again! Waits long enough to write is review (800ish km) and knocks it out of the park. I love hearing him talk about how his opinion changed between first impressions at this final review. No one is as thorough or open minded when it comes to EUC reviews.
Hell yeah Adam! This was the video I've been waiting for. I have one on the way that only cost $3275 USD so I'm well pleased. My first action will be disassembling the wheel and adding silicone and thread lock to everything, ensuring the wheel is waterproof and secure. Glad to see you really do test wheels to their limits, we need more RU-vidrs like yourself.
How do you do this? How do you know where to apply silicon? I understand the threadlock. You should make a video for those of us who don't own a EUC but will soon.
That seal on the fork is just the dust cover for the fork seal. The fork seal itself is up in the fork tube. Similar maintenance to my motocross bikes too, as long as that dust cover and the spring coil wasn’t damaged you can just clean it up and slide it back into the fork tube. Nice video! Just got my Sherman S , loving it so far!
Great review. The EUC community can be happy to have your insights. I also agree that the price is unjustified. It is a niche product, but if you compare it to actual prices of highly tested, way bigger vehicles, it becomes apparent, that this is overly expensive. For more than 4k, I'd expect a perfectly waterproofed device, without plastic that breaks or bearings that rust etc.
Those pink spandex pants scared the heck out of me. Great informative video.

Compared to Kuji's reviews... you provides us tons more information 👍 Top quality, I have no more questions to that model. And yes, want to buy it too (if having so much money 😂). Looking forward to comparison with the new Inmotion, if you'll make any. BTW I've always wondered how come that your English sounds so perfect.
Kuji is not technical, his showcases are more "feeling" than anything else. His camera angles, editing and music paint a picture of what it feels like to ride a wheel, what's the overall ride experience.
Nice work, as always very informative. The vulnurable cable you show us, and makes this expensive wheel a no go for me. I trust Inmotion sort of.. Kingsong and Sherman have too many errors I find, begode is a joke. Thx again mate..
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching! Th Sherman-S has both a lot more speed and torque than the S22 according to my tests :) due to the weight it might be harder to achieve but it’s there!
Great review, Sherman-S looks great. New suspension tech is a great addition to the market, worthy successor of original Sherman. Sturdy build and finely tuned performance to get max torque and speed from 100v sistem before going with higher voltage, which is not a bad philosophy.
Wow! That’s a big one (that’s what she said) 44 mins of excellent info and riding. I couldn’t agree more on the price, they’re getting way too expensive. Thanks for all the great vids this year I’m really looking forward to more informative and entertaining vids next year. In the meantime I hope you and Mono cat have a great festive season back in Poland.
@@brentoncrowhurst8338 I don’t know what your definition of a “wokester identity crises” is but people break up all the time, be they “woke” or asleep. Regardless I wish them both well.
Might progressive tilt back be fixable or introduced via a firmware update? Thanks for your valiant work for the community Adam, it is greatly appreciated, let’s all hope for a better 2023!😊
Great well-thought out review. Winter conditions here in the Pacific Northwest make for good tests. Be wary of salt / de-icers that are put on the roads/paths/stairs - the saline water can wreck havoc on metal parts / bearings - ask any marnier. If you ride any paths exposed to sea spray or de-icer granules, a ride through a freshwater puddle will help rinse the salt away. Looking forward to your Master Pro review.
nice one you've obviously put a lot of effort to this review and its appreciated ! great that you talked about the wheel honestly even though it was sponserd
Thank you for all your hard work! This was exactly what I needed to hear about the wheel. It’s still a toss up for me between the v13 and the Sherman S. with the way the prices keep increasing and the economy keeps wavering the next wheel I buy will likely be my last for many years. The big deal breaker for me is water resistance (Canada’s east coast is rainy about 3/5 of the year 🙄) and range. Thanks again for making this video!
Great review, and I agree about the price being ridiculous. But I would add that for a brand new rider, having a wheel with a modular design is extremely valuable. After now owning a master, I could never own a wheel that I would have to unplug the motherboard to replace a tire, that's insane.
Love the intro! And this review is incredibly thorough, thank you for your amazing work! Love seeing all these scenes of you riding in Vancouver, it's too bad you missed our "snow-mageddon" 🤣 Do you have any trail recommendations?
About the moped don't forget that EUC has to be developed in much smaller quantities, the parts all still have to be invented and also manufactured. With a moped you can buy everything off the shelf. Thats why the huge Price difference i think.
Thanks for the in-depth review! Few things set of my anxiety over making my second batch Pre-Order Those darn Pedals! What the hell were they thinking... Not looking forward to the slippery Nubs May have to talk to some of the CNC people I know and make some myself
Really glad for the in depth review here. Definitely the Right Way to analyze this thing, given the price point. I wonder if you'd favor the Master or K 22 with suspension upgrade over this ?
Excellent full review! One thing: I totally hear you on the pain of the prices of the high-end EUCs, but I have to say that they still pale in comparison to the prices of high-end mountain bikes, which is what I was looking at before I went the EUC route. Not that MTBs are particularly practical as urban-living vehicles either, just that in the grand universe of things to toss money at, this hobby don't seem so bad :)
Thats what i think. I spent 5500 on my ebike but there are regular bicycles that are over 10k. Real motorcycles seem fairly priced when comparing to other hobbies like these. I keep thinking about getting an euc but im not sure if its worth it atm. It would be nice to have an ice motorcycle for longer range exploring.
Seems everything is just crazy expensive these days. I paid over 5200usd for my EMTB as well 4 years ago, they are now going for $9kusd for equivalent spec. The whole PEV market needs to just step back and reevaluate value.
Thanks, great reviews! Its gonna help a lots Sherman to improve quality. And that is really good, if we don't want to crash for quality issues. But About the structure issues I'm not agreeing with you. The 2 pins of the battery box is use in mécanique because it's very good on shear stress. Using all the magnesium control box as middle structure, it's probably the best ones on the market! That will explain why you don't feel the issues when riding. Anyway GREAT Work Cheers!
Wow really great video! I will keep my V12HT, that is still portable usefull wheel. But man Sherman S is so good package, but not if you need small and portable wheel 😂
Thanks for calling out the prices on the eucs. There is a lot of people with way too much money in this hobby and they will just buy every wheel that comes out even when calling out about the bad qc on eucs
Your pad set up had me giggling , might as well be upside down . Keep messing around and you will discover how to use them . Love ya bud and love to learn from you , thank you for the videos
Great review Adam - glad you made it back and I hope you enjoyed Vancouver - from the reviews I've seen of the Big 3, I think the V-13 will be the best seller. I don't particularly like those shocks protruding out, the pedals ... and that lame trolly handle and seat. My impressions may change actually riding one, but I dunno ... lol .. Happy Holidays to all!
I would like suspension to be isolated from within the shell (dirt), and completely open for maintenance from sides (with decorative flat cover for velcro, but easy to take out without disassembling the wheel)
We definitely don’t going into the right direction with those overpriced products. They just taking advantage of our love for those things. You are the first that is pointing the price tag that is ridiculously high and you are right 110% It needs balls for someone that making a living out of eucs to admit that and for that you have my respect. I hope soon or later buyers will understand that this prices are a rip off and they will back down force the manufacturers come back with better prices.
Hey! I’ll need to make a vid about those two pads! The Grizzlas were very sturdy yet not my optimum angle of front pad. The NyloNove are more adjustable and squishy but they have quite a bit of wear and tear. I’ll make a video soon!

FYI: The pedals are actually angel adjustable. Thanks for the video Adam, good job!
It is pretty crazy. I just checked for fun, but the msrp of a 2022 honda cbr300 is less than $1000 more. It will literally last 20 to 50 years longer, and very possibly even longer.
Dollar value is such a mystery anymore - there's just no cross equating when even bicycles get up to TWICE the cost of the SS (talking pedal bikes, not even E bikes), and the lists go on. So no comfort there. But this was a great review, thanks WW. Lots of fun B roll, so I'm dead certain this production and all the careful evaluation took a lot of effort and time - the only saving grace is you're "forced" to ride an SS, lol.
It's first time when LeaperKim Come with bad quality EUC... My 2 friends order S, batch 1 and 2. Both of wheels brake suspension before 2000km on it... My choise with waiting for few upgrades was a good idea... Veteran test suspension like Begode test reliability of their wheels on riders... Wait few month before order, its My advice.
The hype definitely was a bit overblown for this wheel... But hey, after the OG Sherman, who wouldn't be hyped? It's still one of the best wheels on the market tho. The durability is good, the safety is good too (although it seems the V13 sets the new bar). I was actually planning of maybe buying the Sherman S, but after the hype wore off and I managed to grab a Begode Master for 2500€ on Black Friday, I really have no interest in this wheel anymore. I just crafted a rollcage/bumpers for the Master for like 20€, did some waterproofing with ductape and added a 10€ laser backlight and it's basically like the Sherman S now at half the price lmao. And I realized I actually like to tinker with my wheels. The Sherman S is a full package and you don't have to tinker with it, meanwhile the Master pretty much requires some fixes, which are honestly so cheap and relatively ease to implement that it's baffling why Begode didn't just do that in the factory (bumpers, better battery casings, better waterproofing) Overall, I have the same conclusion: The Sherman S is overpriced. V13 has the speed, Commander Pro seems to be the same but cheaper and upcoming EX30 can burn wood lmao. All of which are in the same 4000 buckaroonies ball park. 4 wheels that are extremely similar and I think at the end the ones consumers will end up getting are the ones that have the least QC issues after release... That is if anyone can afford them. I genuinely don't think any EUC should be over 4000 bucks, at that price range you should be looking at motorbikes or used cars.
You are totally right for the ridiculous prices and weight of new eucs .. I'm out of the game for another year. There's no way I'll pay that. I'll stick on my old and yet still good eucs. Are you back in Warsaw for good or going back again?
I thought the next Sherman S video will be a comperation with the current wheels (V13, S22, Master / Master pro etc...) Even though the V13, EX30 and Commander Pro are probabaly betters and will be Sherman S.
1 million percent agree about the ridiculous price's these new eucs are costing, I personally won't be buying any euc that costs v13 or Sherman s price's just outta principal
Great review, Adam. I guess with such small production runs before the next iteration these unicycle manufacturers never really get to the economies of scale that bike makers have before they have to design new parts and molds etc. They are almost in continual R&D. Although the KS 18XL doesn't seem to be getting any cheaper and it has been around for years. I am surprised they have not gone the Nylon pedal route. Nylonove has shown they work. Leaperkim has shown they can make good nylon parts (sherman s lift/crash bar handle). Seems like a no brainer to me from a engineering point. The 5% elastic memory of nylon is a great fatigue reducer. Maybe they feel magnisium pedals are better for sales reasons.
Amazing review. The details he assesses are more thorough than I would have on my own making him the guy we want testing our vehicles. That said- I’m an avid Sherman fan, but I have to admit, I may have to skip this one. This wheel paves the way for new wheels, and new designs but there are major oversights. How could that wire stick out the bottom? How could the bridge be so lacking in structural integrity? I’m a little disappointed in the overall build design and quality. Those pedals are an outright joke. Maybe on batch 3 or 4 this wheel will work- but $4200? At this time it’s a definite no from me.
Regard the comparison with the NIU Nqi, it has not more battarey then the sherman s, they have both the same battery capacity, but the Sherman has more the double the range than the Niu.
