Cheers brother, I live in West Olympia. Been here since I was 1 in 1977 and only left for 10 years in the U.S. NAVY to San Diego. We should get together and ride someday. I work downtown at a State agency and have a wife and 2 daughters. Cheers brother
I just viewed your short where you describe what it feels like to get kicked by the Sherman S kickstand. I've been at it for months and the kickstand has forced me to take several weeks off every time because the wheel spins around and hits my leg like a baseball bat. Immediate swelling and pain and it doesn't heel for about three months. I have had several serious bone bruises thanks to the Sherman S. I finally wrapped some neoprene around the sharp edges and hope that will take the pain out of learning to ride. Getting it to accelerate quickly without pads is a whole other matter. I'm going to try putting a 2 degree forward tilt on the wheel and see how that works. Pads will come in time. Any suggestions you can offer a new rider would be very much appreciated. Good channel. Good luck.
Never have I got hit on my leg from the wheel spinning and had to get off for three months cause of it . Maybe the wheel is to heavy and big for you since your a new rider ? Gotta build leg memory and strength which will come in no time the more you ride and adjust to the wheel
I ride the ex30 which is a little more heavy but I came from the v12 HS before the upgrade. I'm just about 700 miles in on the ex30 its a blast tons of fun
The wheel was in high speed mode. I don't believe there is any difference in power consumption between the 2 unless you are increasing your speed above which I don't do range tests at. Hope this helps
@@EUCWayOfLife when it comes to range is a mixed bag.. on a flat straight away i can get 70 miles cruising at 35mph.... add some steep hills and i will be lucky to get 50 miles... A bit disappointing but i do love this wheel. Thank you for the reply
Yup it's why I never tell people a wheel is guaranteed any range because rider weight, riding conditions, avg. Speed all play a significant role in range. My goal is to show people a slow avg cruising speed (mainly as a "new rider") and how far you can really get these wheels. I adjust the speed a little based on the wheel for the range test.
