Veterans & Family Members Speak Out: Why We Can't Support Trump

Thank you Veterans! 💛🇺🇸

My Dad was a Marine Staff Seargent. He served two tours in Vietnam, was wounded and later was diagnosed with Agent Orange disease - though it took four decades - he finally received the monthly compensation he deserved. He had a litany of problems. Macular degeneration, bone degeneration, four heart attacks and then, finally, kidney failure. He lied about his age to get in and he said the marine Corp saved his life from poverty and taught him how to be a man and have self-respect. He talked about certain things but never about his time in Vietman other than some good times with his buddies. He never complained and was always proud and THANKFUL that the Marine Corp was there for him - and it was one of very few times I ever saw him cry. These men and women are patriots. DT is not fit to wear their boots and even though my Dad was a Republican his whole life - I KNOW that he would not have voted for THAT LOSER. TY all - to our wonderful and brave vets who gave it all and to those who continue to serve. We need to start loving one another again. We need to start caring for our neighbors and friends instead of hiding from them. DT and MAGA want to tear it all down - and for the life of me - I cannot figure out why. They have nothing else to run on so I guess they will just burn it all down. It's sick and demented and a slap in the face to EVERY American who truly believes in our democracy - for all it's good and it's faults. Let's come together this November 5th and then. MAYBE, we can start to heal.

Finally the veterans are speaking out, as a veteran myself and the father of a veteran both retired Air Force I cannot fathom voting for Trump. I can’t understand any veteran or anyone is a true patriot of the United States of America that would vote for Trump. One thing I can say about Biden is that he he served our country and he’s continue to service our country he loves America and he loves the people of America and he wants only what’s best for America. No way would I vote for Trump as an American veteran.

As a retired Navy veteran, I can’t vote for anyone that doesn’t support our military or the constitution.

Not one member of Trumps family has ever served let alone would fight for this country. I'm the proud daughter and granddaughter of veterans. Both of my grandfather’s fought in WWI and my father and uncles fought in WWII like so many back then. We never took our freedom for granted and are proud of all the brave men and women who fought, sacrificed and the brave loved ones who never made it home. Our hearts and our unending thanks go out to all these brave souls throughout our history. God save us if this narcissistic wan-a-be dictator ever gets a chance to not only sit in the oval office again but with him so goes not only the nation but the world. Please VOTE BLUE not just for the presidential election but for the house and senate as well as your local elections to give the president the power to pass legislation for the good of our country. First of all-THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!! As an American, I apologize to each of you for the way trump treated you. I did not vote for him at either election and actually changed my political affiliation in 2018 from Republican to Democrat because I was genuinely embarrassed to be associated with the tyranny trump displayed. I’ve never really voted strictly Republican, in fact have gone back and forth after learning about candidates. I do tend to lean to the left, especially now, because of trump. Every single American should be thanking all of you as well as present and former military. Each of you brought tears to my eyes as I listened to your excerpt. I will never be able to imagine for a minute what each of you went through and because of that, I have the utmost respect and adoration. We have freedoms only because of you!

I had friends and relatives who served in the military. I had a cousin who survived the Bataan Death March. I never knew him because he had to move to Florida. He couldn't take New England winters. Donald J. Trump, who has cozied up to all anti-democracy dictators like Putin, Kim Jung Un, Xi, & Orban! I’m personally incensed by the way Trump described how he traded “Love Letters” with North Korean dictator Kim Jung Un, when my father served in the Korean War in combat (1951-52) - preserving the sovereignty of South Korea. I truly believe that if Trump (God forbid!) ever got back into office, he would possibly weaken and/or abandon our defense of the prospering democracy of South Korea! It’s the same strange worship & fealty Trump shows to Russia’s war criminal Putin, who Trump APPEASES in his threats & extortion of Ukraine (grounds for his first IMPEACHMENT!) & dividing & potential abandonment of NATO would be a recipe for a Third World War - he’s should NEVER be entrusted to be Commander-In-Chief…no damn way!

My grandfather, father, and brother are all US Veterans. My grandfather was badly injured and had his leg rebuilt with metal plates, my dad was gassed at 18 years old and suffered permanent lung damage as a result, and my brother's kidneys were destroyed by the Anthrax vaccines he was given before deployment in Iraq, and he needed a kidney transplant by age 28. He was on dialysis for years before he received a kidney. My family sacrificed for America and her freedom. Thank you for voting to eradicate Trump, and all of the GOP, in favor of Biden's true patriotism, decency, and accountability to Americans and the Constitution.
