Me and my great nephew ( 5-6 months old ) were watching your video this morning he was making all kinds of noises when you pulled out the colorful screw drivers out. I should have gotten a video of it. I’m getting him started early on RU-vid!! LOL
My Baby “ Hammer “ of choice is a Knipex Carpenter’s Pincers, with a flat strike face. Good for nail interdiction , if I can’t pull it , I can cut it off , and set it ! I’ve moved away from the Knipex shears , the clip on mine popped off , and while light , they were bulky . I went back to Klein Freefall snips .
That hammer cracked me up. I bet no one wants to steal that. lol For my general bag, I got the Stiletto 10oz titanium hammer with the short handle. It fits well in my bag and packs the punch of a heavier steel hammer. My general bag is my heaviest, so any weight savings is welcome.
Yeah bags get heavy quick… I keep thinking about getting me a small hammer (or a wood handle and cutting it off) but I find I just don’t use one real often anymore. At least not to keep on me all the time. I do keep one in my truck
So far so good. Been busy without trying too hard.. trying to purposely go into a little slow to enjoy the calm before the storm. Thanks for the encouragement 👍
I condensed into a 10inch Husky which sits in the floor board behind drivers seat. I keep all of my overflow hand tools in the 16 inch toughbuilt which sits in the middle floor board of the back seat. I just fill my husky based on what the task at hand is going to be, if I need to add a chisel, volt meter, hammer, impact whateeer it may be. I usually know what task I will be doing before I get to a job so that helps. I made a video on my Husky 10 inch loadout if you want to check it out :) I forsure want to see some more railer stuff, especially with a discount code! WIsh they would send me the allen key set haha! I have a couple of the Dewalt locking bit holders and love them I have found that every once in a while a bit will get kind of stuck and require pliers to get it out. I also like the Hart locking ones although they are a little bigger around. Lets see a new truck loadout! Great video as always!
Yeah, I do that same thing with my MP1. I load it up based on the job. This has been a trial run but I haven’t minded the one bigger bag yet. I may end up adding that TP3B back in if I feel I need too. Truck is still being adjusted. I haven’t worked all the kinks out of that yet.
@@MORGANSMaintenance I never tried the Milwaukee ones but only the DeWalt locking, I’ve only ever had one break on me, other than that they hold up well. With the MCT being heavy up the stairs and all I do use the TP-LC and I actually use a Klein belt with a TP3 pouch that fits great with a Dewalt drill holster to hold the 12 Volt impact and some bits. Most of the stuff I deal with are 100+ yr old homes with the old pancake boxes and cloth wire, so I use a lot of drill/tap combos 8/32 and a ton of fixture hickeys. When we hit the knob and tube we have the customer sign a work order for us to even touch knob and tube.
@@Jesus_Strong I use a Klein Belt I keep in my truck with my MP1 or a TP3 too. (Like $10 on Amazon and the best belt I’ve used) I will load those out from this bag or my drawers if I’m doing a job that will take some time. I haven’t ran into Knob and Tube in my area hardly ever. It is around, I’ve seen it in some houses I’ve looked into buying… it’s just not been in any places I typically do work. If the weight becomes an issue I may end up deciding to go back to the TPLC and just be more choosy about the tools I carry. I carry a lot that I don’t “have to have” on me because I could use another tool… but I don’t want those tools to feel left out thinking daddy likes the other tools better 😂😂😂
@@MORGANSMaintenance 😂yeah in Chicago we see a ton of Knob and Tube, the problem is the city can’t make anyone change it and the City doesn’t have compliance inspections so it’s up to the Home Inspector to let the buyers know and they never go through with it, over here Romex isn’t allowed at all in all Chicago and the Cook County area which is huge, everything has to be in conduit with Chicago’s own code adapted from the NEC code, so it’s tough because it’s all plaster and lathe and nobody wants to demo that. So that’s why it stays the same, pretty ridiculous!
@@Jesus_Strong That is crazy. Conduit in walls is nice in some cases (upgrading switches), but it sucks to make changes to… (additions or subtractions). I can’t imagine having to tear out walls just to add a receptacle or something. I bet in big cities like Chicago you see some stuff in those older buildings.
Going to comment before watching the video... I just can't lol! My wallet can't take anymore lol! I'll still watch it as I know it will be quality content. 👍
Not a lot of new tools… just a set-up change, so you should be good 😂😂😂 Now I don’t feel so bad not posting videos as often… I’m just saving you guys money 💰 My HarborFreight still doesn’t have those Flush Cuts.. I’m going to get those instead of Knipex ones if they stock them before I buy them
@@slab4x477 I appreciate the offer but you don’t have to do that. They will either get them in or I will be in some other town and see if they have them. I haven’t been in there for a few weeks, they may have them by now. Thanks though 👍
Yeah it is my favorite of any Veto Bag I’ve had so far. I really prefer multiple smaller bags for weight purposes… but this one holds a lot at a middle size and it’s not too heavy. One medium size bag takes up less space in my truck than 2-3 smaller ones. I definitely wouldn’t want to go bigger.
nice video. since you have a vessel, a suggestion, do a review on it and deep dive on JIS vs philips vs pozi be sure to mention the divot/slashes on the screws ;)
I always look at these pack out tool videos and just think am I messy worker or do I abuse my tools because they always look so clean compared to my tools😅
It’s a personal preference for everyone. I am a bit of a neat freak, but I also clean everything before making videos. It sometimes just depends on what people do too. My work puts me in direct contact with clients or inside of finished homes and an impression is given off of professionalism. Not that clean tools, clothes, etc.. make me better at anything, but that with some customers makes it more comfortable to let you in their home. They are more likely to call you again. Those become the customers who call you and no one else… that’s the customers I want. Not the ones who want 10 estimates. Whereas if I’m only going to a job site, never see a customer, it’s an unfinished space… then there might not be as much a need to work as clean. We all do it different… you do you 😂👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance makes sense I’m more of industrial business type of work. They just want the job done appearances don’t mean much unfortunately in my line of work.
The way I think about things is if my customers are going to pay for me to take my tools off of my truck….then I expect they are also going to pay for me to put things back away neatly as well. If I came into their house and made a mess and didn’t even hit it with a shop vac they’d be pissed right? Why should I have to pull all of my tools off of my truck, do the job and then scramble to throw everything in my van as fast as possible and then organize it again on my own time? Sorry, that’s not happening.
@@MORGANSMaintenance totally agree. And a clean organized appearance assists the customer in having confidence in me as a professional. We also need to try to leave stuff in better shape than we found it. Doesn’t mean everything needs to be spit-shined but literally “better than we found it.” That’s a pretty low bar actually when you think about it. But it really in my experience seems to make all of the difference
Well thought out ! My home made tool holster system, occupies the role your MP1 fills . My main bag is now the TPXXL . Good call on the O light / utility knife combo !
@@MORGANSMaintenance In re: , the Milwaukee Utility knife , a great performance improvement , is the Tajima blades , sharper out of the box, and last longer !
One Issue I had with the MP1 was it’s low ride . Up here in the PRK ( Peoples Republic of Kanuckastan ) , is snow , and worse yet freezing rain getting into low riding tool pouches . My rig rides a lot higher like a good CCW holster .
Thanks… it’s been many years in the making but I finally have it about as fine tuned as I can get it… Till a new tool comes out 😂. Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment 👍
This is how my bag is and I’m just an Electrician and wow my back kills me as a service call tech. I went from the old LC to the MCT and did downsize but man going in and out of houses all day it can be a bit rough.
For me its been a killer to use day in day out. The quality is amazing, nothing else really compares but the weight when kitted takes it toil. Yes, tools are heavy, but the bag has a good weight to it before anything is put in.
@@btcharlee9727 yes the bag is pretty heavy as I’ve loaded it out, now I literally have to bring a folding dolly to bring it as far as I can and then take it from there, most of the time I’ve have to use the strap to ease the weight but it leaves brushing and and scratch marks on my shoulder like if got cat attacked lol.
I will definitely check it out...The Graph Gears are great.... unless you drop them with it open. Mine last longer than a month typically but they aren't built for job sites... Thanks for the suggestion 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance yeah they are great but the tip always gets bent in my shop 😒 I even bought the $65 Rotring 800+ and it’s better than the graphgear but I like the pica .9 fine dry much better. Love the drop in quiver to go next to my other pica’s in my tool belt and it’s shocking less than $15 😅
Excellent video! Great choice of tools. I especially like your selection of Knipex pliers. How do you like your Icon ratcheting bit tool? I've heard great things about it. Recently I've been shocked at the high quality of Icon and Doyle at HF. I'm amazed at how within 3 years HF went from a junk-tool store to offering professional grade tools that are very close in quality to my Knipex, Klein and Snap On.
Appreciate that.. I really like the Icon ratchet set. It is hard to get ahold of in stores. It has still never been in stock at mine anytime I have bee there. I had to order mine online. I agree it’s good quality, I have bought a couple other Icon tools since and I used to never buy tools much at Harbor Freight. Their versions of the Knipex look nice, but the grips are a little thick for me personally… I’m sure they perform well. Thanks again for watching 👍
Thanks I will check that out. I keep looking in stores and haven’t found one that I felt would fit well. I don’t use one very often… only as an occasional persuader 😂
@@MORGANSMaintenance when you get one and see what I mean you will do a video about it. Give me credit 😃 Put it in front of your hand tools head down in that space between the pouches and the front of the bag .
Your video convinced me to make the switch from my old Veto LC bag to this. It is awesome! I am curious as to where you got your variety of different sized Malco flip bits. It looked like you had 5 or 6 of the 2" flip bits in your bag and you mentioned a 7mm and 8mm version. The only place I can find a set of the 2" Malco flip bits is Amazon and they only have a set of 1/4"-5/16", a 5/16"-3/8", a 8mm-6mm and a 10mm-8mm. Do you know where I could get a set that has a wider array of sizes? Thanks for the help!
It’s my favorite “all around” bag I have had so far. I got mine all of of Amazon at the time. Maybe they aren’t available now, but I remember at the time I was looking for the Acme Tools sold them too… I think.
“Going to make this a quick video” 30 minutes laterrrrr 🤦🏼♂️ 😂 🤣 Solid man so hyped for you starting your own thing that’s awesome 👍🏻 Also I think I’ll get me some of those bit holders too I like man
That will be sweet. I haven’t got an M12 tool in awhile. I figure they will be selling off all the old drills and impacts before long but I don’t need any of those.
@@parts7959 yeah I’m going to upgrade my bandsaw now that I have seen the fuel one in person at some point. I think I want the M12 vacuum too so I can leave the M18 set up for water and the M12 for dry. On my short list is the Cut Off Tool & the Right angle die grinder You can’t beat the hack… that’s how I’ve got most of my tools
Thanks a bunch! I had everything dialed in pretty good… but now that I’m working out of my truck more that is all out the window 😂. Never know what will work best till you try it, weed out was doesn’t…. and keep what does. I’m sure I’m not finished changing things up. Thanks again for watching and the encouragement 👍
I got them off Amazon… I think I have links in the description, but here they are amzn.to/46t8mX6 amzn.to/46sDrtH Those are the 1” ball and regular. They sell some longer ones too.
I don’t use them real often because 95% of the time I have access for my pliers wrench. They are really just helpful in a tighter space. I’ve only used them a handful of times myself, if I wasn’t a tool addict they aren’t must haves 😂
I’m still using the Railer Hex Bits. I put them in my screwdrivers, ratchets, bit holders in my drill. Etc. You can see them here amzn.to/3SVDLMf You get Metric and SAE in a small package that don’t take up much room. They have a ball end set and a regular. I have both. Occasionally I need a L Key for the length because I need to get in somewhere deeper that the bit won’t go but it’s rare. In those events I have a set on Bondus keys in my truck. I like them for their size. Bondus Ones- amzn.to/4bT0ukw I have the color set which are more expensive and harder to find now then when I bought, but they have regular sets too. I recently bought the new Milwaukee ones… but in my video for them many people kept saying the Wiha were the best, WERA was probably the second most suggested. I haven’t used either, but if you read the comments in that video there are lots of suggestions. Hope that helps
I clip mine on the outside of the bag when I carry it in. I normally just carry one. Certain bags are better for that. This one you can take out the panel in one side and it is just an empty space to fit bigger stuff… but you obviously would have to lose some hand tools.
Hey man have you looked into getting the plastic knipex pliers for hot work? I’m lookin into buy a pair for work but didn’t know if you’ve heard about em
Yeah, I have a pair of the combination plier looking ones. I wanted the needle nose ones but they were always sold out at the time. I will probably pick those up too. They work great when you are playing “operation” Thanks for checking and the suggestion… I always like looking for new tools 😂
Good timning, I haul around the Milwaukee 20" bag and it's getting to heavy. I have to have everything with me, buy I only do resi work so my truck is never to far. I need to start minimizing my bags, too old and too much to carry...
Yeah I prefer the 15 pound bags and having multiple… but I’m having to change things up a bit since I’m working out of my truck more. This bag isn’t too bad though. I definitely wouldn’t want to go bigger.
@@MORGANSMaintenance Ok yes I am a tool snob as my wife would say, but can't see spending that much for a Veto. I had one of their larger bags in the past, but sold it, just too big and I was a bag wearing guy back then. I did just see the Milwaukee 10" Packout tote, and might give that one a go. HD has deals time to time, buy a milwaukee bag and they throw in the smaller packouts that fit in my truck side boxes nicely...
Dewalt makes a pair of flip socket style bits like the malco, ones a 1/4-5/16, and the other is 3/8-7/16, so instead of the malco 3/8-5/16 one, you don’t have 2 5/16 drivers, and the 1/4 driver side is much slimmer than the malco
Yeah I haven’t got those yet. I have got their set that comes with the one shaft and each nut driver. I’ve heard good things on those Dewalt ones. I may check that out so I don’t have (2) 1/4” ones. Thanks for the suggestion 👍
The MALCO’S are bigger. They did come out with. 1/4 & 5/16 where the 1/4” is a little slimmer, but if you have to go real deep it’s still the the same.
That’s why I prefer the DeWalt version over the Malco, because it is the slimmest version, but I prefer the shorter 3” Klein flip socket over them all because it gives a little more space and visibility to the screw. And I usually find that if I can’t get into a space with my m12 surge with the Klein but, I can’t get in that space with either the dewalt or malco
I have one with the flip blade that I like but I really like the laser tips on the WERA is why I keep them in my bag. I do have the additional blades for the Klein in my watchlist though… I have thought just like you suggested, especially in my smaller bags. Thanks for the suggestion 👍
I think it was a promotional item at some point. I saw one for sale on Facebook Marketplace is how I new it existed. It was a little further away than I wanted to go but I found one on eBay.
@@MORGANSMaintenance Great minds think alike , while fools seldom differ ! A great maintenance Tech , is truly a Noble work of the Lord ! I detect the Artist touch in you !
@@MORGANSMaintenance I’m trying out the Ideal In Sure lever nuts , as they are easier to source locally . One advantage they have with solid wire , is that you don’t have to open the lever/cam . They cover AWG 12-24 , like the Wago’s . BTW , there is an iteration of the Wago , that goes to 10 AWG .
@@chrisfyfe9212 I saw a video of the Ideal ones awhile back but at the time I couldn’t find anywhere to purchase any… I’m not sure if they are available here now, I need to recheck.
Sometimes I wish the maintenance/construction community took some lessons from the outdoor and military community on how every ounce counts, 1st and 2nd order priority organization, and using the lightestweight materials with the acceptable durability.
Yeah I prefer a lighter bag with my best multifunctional tools (as long as they do the functions well)… I used to run 3 bags for my most used type of jobs but unfortunately space in my truck has changed that… I have to use that concept in my truck and cut some stuff. A heavier bag adds up at the end of the day. If I only did one specific task my life would be easier… but when you are possibly an electrician, plumber, HVAC tech, carpenter, appliance repair, etc all in the same day… it’s hard to be a minimalist.
I like it a lot. I probably use it more daily than anything else I have… just because of what I do. It’s a love/hate tool for people though. Based on Comments on my review for it Milwaukee M12 Fuel Installation Driver - The Good and Bad after 2 years of use. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TsqQHDi0Q80.html People either really like it, or don’t like it at all.
I have a few. I have some pairs of their tongue and groove pliers in my garage. (I used to run them all the time which is why I call them all Channellocks) I just feel they don’t perform as well as Knipex is why I run Knipex in my bags. Channellocks are good tools… but I buy what helps me get the job done either easier, faster, or more enjoyable. Sometimes that might be Channellock, sometimes WERA, sometimes Dewalt, sometimes Milwaukee. I’m typically not a Brand Person (except in Battery tools).. if a tool is the better option for me I will buy it. I’m am interested to see what others say… Good Question 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance I use channellock tools in the uk 🇬🇧 as British Gas have used them for years I find them very easy to change one handed under a sink or a boiler. The Knipex tools thing has only happened over the past few years. My pro pac has channellock grips
@@simonwade2036 yeah the 7-1/4 or 180 Knipex size is my preferred pair. They open really wide for a small size. The Knipex are just starting to catch on here in the US….I would say most people in the US do use Channellock and Klein, just not many people who make RU-vid videos. We are all tool addicts who like getting all sorts of tools 😂 Lots of Good Ones out there.
Yeah, tiny and odd hammers are every man's weakness. Impressive loadout. If you will be doing bigger jobs where you leave some of your tools overnight, buy a portable alarm with phone notification.
I have a link in the description that is pretty close to it I think. I didn’t buy it so not sure if it’s 100% the same Here is what I think it is amzn.to/3XSUHDk Just letting you know it doesn’t hold up all that well unless you maybe hang pictures with it.
I haven’t had any problems with mine yet, but mine doesn’t get the use as much as someone who does HVAC all day. I do prefer the Malco as nut drivers too, especially in a drill. The Klein is worth having to me for the extra sizes (and I can put a driver bit in a pinch or for screwdriver) but maybe Malco will give us more sizes one day. Thanks for your thoughts… may help someone make a decision between the two 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance I agree, the screwdriver with all the nut drivers and adjustable height with the bit storage is really amazing, but I'd just use it as a handle tool and not an impact (at least for bits and 1/4 and 5/16 screws) the bigger sized nut drivers work great with an impact for removing compressors etc
@@YungSteambuns yeah I don’t feel like the 1/4” works as good because of the feature to put a bit in it. It’s a good idea but It sometimes gets stuck between 1/2 on 1/2 off which messes with the magnet. The Malco can take a serious beating. I use mine putting in concrete anchors all the time which is pretty high torque with no problem.
@@MORGANSMaintenance you can even see the difference, the malco is just beefier, doesn't have the cuts in the corners like the klein I still need to buy a malco, my coworkers all have them and they've ran theirs for years no problems, great tool and made in Japan
@@Pavleone it is for me, but it just depends on what field you are in. I do a lot of different things, so I don’t use one everyday… but I definitely have to have one.
If the tools are good and everyone knows it, people will end up with the same type stuff. If I see a tool that looks like it will work for me on someone else’s channel, Odds are I will buy it.
@@MORGANSMaintenance You can find at least a dozen youtubers (if not more) shilling the exact same tool bag with all the exact tools, except for 1 or 2 other tools they added to it.
It’s similar to people working around other people I guess. A lot of guys that work together carry the same tools because you see each other using them. I work by myself, so other RU-vidrs are the main Toolbags I end up seeing.
Everything always changes on my setup usually. This bag is my take in a jobsite and not have to go to my truck bag. I carry in my MP pouches first hoping I don’t have to take this one. Appreciate your thoughts 👍
Love this channel and everything about it except for the proffering of these stupidly expensive bags, save the money for your family, go buy your kids $400 of shares in a high dividend paying stock and let them reinvest, let me know in 30 years if your kids thank you or not
I’d rather keep my bag and tell them how to make their own money 😂 I’m not saying anyone needs to buy these, and especially as many as I have (which I review stuff is why I try more things than I may would in the past)… but these bags will last several times longer than cheaper options I’ve used in the past. That depends on what you do of course, a cheaper bag can last one person the same amount as a Veto if their job environment is a little different. But if I spend $250 on a tool bag and it last me 2-3 times longer than a $100 bag, I feel I’m breaking even, but I’m using a bag that makes me more efficient (the longer I use a product the more efficient I become with it), is more enjoyable to use, and looks professional (I get comments from customers all the time)… then is it an investment? Maybe it allows me to make an extra $100 a month to put into stocks? I’m not disagreeing with you by any means, I’m just saying there are different ways to look at things than a price tag.
I’d have to hide that video from the wife 😂. Hand tools might not cost as much as power tools… but they add up quick. I’d have to do some researching receipts but that’s a good idea. I know I got pretty good deals on many of them.
I’ve had it in my list waiting for the price to get better. I would really like to have it. Thanks for the suggestion and the Hultafors option… I didn’t know that 👍
Hello Merry Christmas to you and thank you for all your reviews and videos it’s been very helpful. Since you have more experience than me and you seem to have more veto bags than the MCT BLACKOUt Wich one do you recommend me to spend my well earned money ? The Big tech pack blackout or this MCT, keep in mind that im an apt maintenance tech and I’m currently using the milwaukee packout bagpack for 2 years now but its starting to wear out! Either way I would wait to March 1 to purchase the veto cause of the spring sales that everybody tells me. Thank you for any tip or advice you can give me 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you and Merry Christmas too! I have not had a Veto Tech Pac. I also don’t use backpacks because I typically don’t have far to go from my truck to the work. I know the Tech PAC is bigger and holds more… but that would end up being too heavy of a bag (for me, I’m weak 😂) but if you need to hold more tools… and like the backpack that may be the way to go. You can always put less in it if it’s too heavy. It has that extra space in the front to hold things as needed too. The only real downside I’ve ever seen in it is access to the back section where the backpack straps are seems a little bit involved. I would put things in there I didn’t use as often. The MCT is smaller, but big enough for me. I like that’s is compact and easy to access everything. I would think the backpack part would be the biggest decider for you. If you walk around apartment complexes all day, and you like the backpack part of your Milwaukee… you may want to go that route. Hope that helps!
No my backpack stays most of the Day in ny service cart, the backpacks part of it its only use when I have to take my tool back home for other projects or work 🙏🏻
