VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo) Cleaning and basic troubleshooting 

I've had those for 12 years give or take. Last year I was going to upgrade, but i went ahead and bought 4 new batteries for around $100. So the Craftsman guns will be around a bit longer.

As long as all of the veins and levers are moving freely, then it ususally is good. And make sure there not excessive play in the turbine fan

@Pro Diesel Repair well man I appreciate you keep doing what you do you might not be the most viewed and all but that's not what matters you found a very simple thing and was able to make a video on it. This literally helped me. Again thank you man I will subscribe

If you're referring to the 6.7L Cummins then yes it would be somewhat similar. If you have a bidirectional scanner you can calibrate the actuator to reinstall it.

@prodieselrepair3218 Thanks for the reply! If I don't have a bidirectional scanner, could I do it and then take it to a shop to get it calibrated, or would it have to be towed?

@@greasycreekoutfitters5163 I'm not sure if that would be OK or not. I know if the actuator is not calibrated correctly it could be damaged.

@@prodieselrepair3218 That was my fear. I am looking at bidirectional scanners to see if I can get an affordable one.
