I listen intently because I was lost knowing who I am as a man but confused on how to truly become an alpha male! After so much trauma from being abused for protecting my sister from a toxic boy my mom had tricked us into accepting him as a so-called customer but it was totally different! That woman allowed a man to infiltrate our home and peace to disrupt our life with his controlling ways because religion has got my mom and sisters spiritually lost and because he was allowed to infiltrate our life my sisters the very women I protected as an 15 year old have both turned their backs on me and my oldest sister knows my trauma and denies what I’m going through because of her and my mom! To this day at 45 that ignorant woman sees me as her slave son giving me what she feels I deserve after she intentionally destroyed my dreams and blinded me from knowing my true self😢
All of you women in the comments who are praising Ali's uplifting message, pat yourselves on the back. This sista is trying to make us better wives and mothers for our men. #UpliftUs
Although I was 16 years old when this book was published,I have never new about it until now...But as a man I’ve been rejected by many women because I wasn’t the man they need it in their lives because I wasn’t making enough money and I didn’t had the standards that they were looking for.,Also in my past relationships I’ve never been appreciative and thanked for I’ve done in the household,So I have been forced to stay single because we need women to understand us...Also I have kids and always women been selfish because I wanted to raise my kids as a family even though I wasn’t with my kids mom.!But nowadays I don’t know if there is a woman that thinks this way
@@wryckingbaul8612 you don't have to be a sociologist or psychologist to write books and having those credits certainly don't make a person an expert ! And it's been a bunch of black scholars who've wrote books that nobody read and they dam sure don't live by them
Nonkululeko, wena alone time isn't "solitude" . but we all need room and space to think without outside interference. Her message is good but the complement to her book should be Nanny Burrows's book from the early 1900s. Happy new year .
This is proof that the more things change, the more they stay the same. This interview is nearly 30 years old, but we are still facing the same issues in our community.
Based off how they did this interview. I'm sure more cases was dragged to drive us away. And they did a good job 30 years later. Until now my eyes will be reading
Yeah that's the kind of woman you can communicate silently with With her all you need to be in is the right situation for the right look to know everything of what she's thinking and communicating.
I ran from this book in my 20s and my circle of women also rejected the book. It was the 90s and we wanted to be in our masculine energy. Once I understood these concepts I got myself together and my husband and children benefited in so many ways. I nearly destroyed my family because of lack of knowledge. When you know better you do better.
I tell black women, "One of the things we can do for our men is just smile when you see him coming." That statement alone is worth the cost of the books.
I'm sorry but smiling is not working. Action works. I get weird ass smiles from many white people when I walk by them. 🤔 Not putting you down in any way my sister but that smiling shit dont work. Married for 13 years here.
Cecil Cash I think this post went over your head...I think you’re thinking a lil too hard. I’m sure it’s more about the sentiment, the energy, the care and reverence we should show to our brothers. No ones trying to get married here lmao and I’m damn sure not worried about the weird energy I have received from white ppl. I have knowledge of self and that automatically puts them in perspective. I’m Mother Earth, I’m Eve, Oshun, Auset, Black Madonna. The human race started with me. But no offense taken. And congrats on your marriage. I hope it continues to grow in peace and love ♥️✊🏾
@@iluvrachellef I do agree with alot that Muslims teach for black people. But I don't really buy into religion. I was raised Baptist but I don't buy into that now that I'm am a adult and can think for myself. But you have to be a Muslim to have a Muslim woman it seems
During this interview she remains calm and stick to the facts, no emotional responses or catching an attitude... she continued to SMILE and laugh during the interview... she does not have on a wig, lashes or revealing clothing however still feminine...Queen at Best!
@Arthur Ashy dude we’re talking about natural beauty and modesty. Those two things are looked down upon now and days. A lot of women of today wear a face full of makeup and dress like whores. We’re trying to embrace ourselves and your comment wasn’t needed whatsoever.
Sorry what does lashes and make up have anything to do with it? I have wear make up etc and wear whatever i like but that doesn’t mean I can’t be reasoned with U might want to revise your comment buddy
As a Black Man, I Thank The Most High for Blessing My ears and Mind as I listen to this Black Queen. Hearing her speak so TRUE and eloquently, has made Me Refocus as The Leader of My Family.💯
Thank Allah whom appeared in the Person Of Master Fard Muhammad whom praises are due forver and His Messenger Elijah Muhammad for blessing you with this sister .
Especially when she said these women would do something in our face then claim we didn’t see what we KNOW what we seen/heard….Jedi mind tric…lm going thru that now…
Exactly! And all these talks shows that attack black men. That's what fuck them up and why all races of men don't want them. And, in 2020 there still blaming it on the black men and society
No, this was a "BIG DEAL" in the the 90's; she was everywhere. I just think her message is being revived, because the message is more relevant today than it was in the 90's. She foresaw the direction the black community was heading and was making a move to get ahead of it. So NOTHING is or was being hidden, it's been here all along - people are looking for answers.
@@summertime8879 Yeah she holds Black women accountable for their role in the problems in the Black community. If you do that today, it's called "Bashing ".
I was 17 when I found her book on my grandma bookshelf…. 20 years later I still agree and understand even more now. I am now a wife and her book has helped me in so many ways when it comes to my behavior and how I love and respect my husband. She is amazing
I like her face...black ppl are completely lost and confused! She is a hustler like most Muslims 12 kids she needs to write books about self love and repairing the damage done by self hate and slavery 12 kids keep your legs closed and open your mind open, 30 years later she saying the same rhetoric, totally destroying the growth process...
@@ramcesgaston5319 Black people are the only group that doesn't understand the importance of the institution of marriage.....other groups understand the value and importance of being married. It's more than just being with someone forever! It's beneficial spiritually, economically, mentally, emotionally, and psychologically. One Day we (I hope soon) will get it!!!
@OTA She was doing her journalistic duty. If it were not for the questions she asked, the topics of the book she approached, how would you have heard the information? How would you be convinced of Sister Ali's position if she'd never had to defend it? Just change perspectives and think. Raven did her job!
And men are doing it completely wrong, you’re suppose to express and share from your emotional stage first before your logical one. #HolisiticTeachings101 this is why most relationships fail because both genders are playing the wrong roles at the wrong times. a woman is to think before allowing her emotions to speak for her first and vice verse for the man him to express his feelings first before his thinking.
speaking from the science of black people’s bodies. There’s a different way that a BLACK man’s brain functions differently from a BLACK woman’s. Women process language in the frontal lobe and men in the parietal lobe.
🤷🏾♂️ I’m 37 & getting my life in order. This is my 2nd time watching this video in 2024. I love, cherish, respect, & value my BEAUTIFUL BLACK SISTAS 👩🏽🎓🖤✊🏾🙏🏾
@@BoB-yn5vs absolutely not! Worshiping Allah is going into moon worship. That is the so called Arabs religion and it has NOTHING to do the so called Blacks, Hispanics and Native Americans. Our True God/Power is the God of Israel. Shalom.
I am a married woman and married a man from a broken drug addict home and I chose to submit and build him up fresh out the penal system and I'm here to tell you ladies all our blk men need is "God, true love and patience". I'm happy to report he has soared in his career. From a fry cook to managing multi-million dollar stores, treats me like a queen and in 16years total time together never raised his voice or had not 1 fight but it started with me submitting myself and praying and somehow he found his place in life\marriage etc.. God bless. Book coming one day. 😚😇
That was a great conversation. And remember people, you don't have to AGREE WITH EVERY SINGLE THINGS someone says to recognise that their overall message has some value.
Hear❗️Hear❗️Hear‼️ Exemplar ❗️Magnificent❗️Black Woman and God’s Gift To “Black-Man” Kind ......‼️ That host is an “un-explainable” (dumb-Eurocentric) CHICKEN-HEAD ‼️
Many of our people feast on and crave ignorance and buffoonery unfortunately these days. Our elder scholars have been given us the solutions to our problems. Social media, "memes" etc has shortened the attention span for many, and many won't even sit through a video of this length. We have much work to do, still....smh
It’s 2023 and we still have the same issues. Things like this aren’t pushed or made public. The system is truly set up to fail us in every aspect of our life. So sad. Hope we take heed and wake up and realize what’s really going on. We really hold the power.
And while I'm talking to a lady who believes that this lady is talking nonsense and she's not because she's clarifying the bad behavior women have displayed and I salute this lady on TV
Not going to lie, I wish I heard this YEARS ago. I will be 40 years old next month, and I'm going to be purchasing her book and studying it. She is still so very relevant.
That's the spirit of a Israelite women.and she is telling us that we are Yahawah's chosen PEOPLE THE ISRAELITES according to the Bible and we fit al the curses in Deuteronomy and we are the descendants of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and our Messiah Yahawahshy which we ignorantly calls Jesus.it's time to come back to Yahawah's Commandments statues and laws so we can raise as a nation again.and the are the people of the bible
this woman is a prophetess with precision, she foreseen our condition today as if she walked , looked, and observed us for her social and behaviour science studies for her phd and professorship. her thesis was beyond the scope given at the time and has the researched to guide those in this field today
She just gave the medicine that will heal black relationships. Let go of the emotions and clear your head to truly listen. Smile every time you see him 🙌🏾
@@ludacrees 😆🤣 🥶 ...can't o.g. poster simply be a fan of ms. ali's intellectual arguments or it is true that without applied practice, then o.g. poster never truly benefited from her teachings? 🤔

I am 21 years old . I’m so grateful to have found this video and at this age ! Everything this Queen said was 💯. I’ll be ordering this book in a couple days . This actually made me wanna be a better woman now ! Even wanna be more modest . It’s 2022 and modesty is not in ! Thank you so much for this knowledge. This will make me a great Girlfriend one day I can be a wife !
The fact that you embrace her words of wisdom means that you WILL be a good wife. It also means that you will have a joyful relationship filled with that which you desire. As a 48 year old man, I can say that EVERY strong and successful man I've known looks for the woman who heeds Mother Queen Ali's words. TELL ALL OF YOUR FEMALE FRIENDS AND FAMILY! Our nation NEEDS a coalition of peaceful, self- aware woman to survive.
@@marcusdarden1535 brethren you typed all the right words to this young QUEEN. Yes she will be fine, and should share with her friends and associates, we need better outcomes for the future. 🎯💯
Either way the point is that man and woman should be there for each other, have one another as a team will make the duo a POWER couple, yes being independent is good in all but as a whole we all need someone to carry us through the weak moments or just simply make sure we good when no one else does.

Notice how you are part of the problem by coming in strong about what black women should have done as if black men need to do/change nothing? How weak are you to feel like it’s only up to the women and not the men? You are pathetic and part of the problem🤮
"If we can't accomplish saving our race, then we have not made an accomplishment"! Shahrazad Ali So very true, black race as we knew it is being replaced!
I said the exact same thing. She gave direct eye contact and I could feel her power through my phone. Loved this video and I’m glad the universe has brought this to me

The zeitgeist effect of this interview is astounding! The fact that this is sooooo relevant today, 32 years later, is a true level of how the ancestors will use someone to relay a message. Sister Ali is still relaying the message to this day! Let us get back to our elders. Those who have paved the way for us. Those who can reach back and tell us what happened and guide us going forward. May the universe & ancestors continue to bless Sister Shahrazad Ali and her family. Asé!
As they shouldn't. This type of foolishness would divide us further. What we need is accountability and forgiveness by both Black men and women, not blame.
This Sister is absolutely way beyond her time. She understands that African Ancestors were stripped of Their Own Spiritual Traditions and Values. People underestimate the Impact of Slavery, Epigenetics is The Science and Facts of Trauma being passed on a Cellular level. If this Trauma is left unhealed this is pass on from generations to generations. So she has a insightful perspective.
Jose Santana see...the entire fact that I would’ve had to explain that to this interviewer I would’ve went in. Ali was so giddy and loving, she held no punches. And she was very articulate. She just reminded me of who we are. ✊🏾
The Bible calls that Generational Curses which are the result of Soul Wounds (caused by sin, trauma, pain) look up Katie Souza she talks in depth about it.
We cannot heal if we aren’t having realistic conversations. People keep showing up as someone else or who they think they should be or who they were told to be by their broken parents/family members/friends..etc. There are so many layers
As a black woman, I endorse this message! She's telling the truth and I'm sad that It took me 39 years in order to hear it from someone who looks like me.
Hey 313, everyday someone discovers something that they've never knew nor understood. So to answer your question - with a very rudimentary and obvious answer: A person who has never heard this information, and/or someone who enjoys repeatedly listening to this information. Hope that helps, 313.
If she is speaking of Islam as being the religion people in Africa he is sadly mistaken there's probably 100 different religions before Islam on the African continent
🤔 wow did you throw the book at her?? Was her leaving a blessing or does the book unfairly bash black women? Are you married to a black woman now? I have so many questions lol I want to read this book moreso now
Agree but the point is at least you learn something that most isn't talking about. I too had learn something from this video. Hope we both grow and be successful and happy in everything we do.
You would do much better to elevate yourself and find mates at that elevated level (no matter their race!) than to call yourself elevating and then digging through trash heaps trying to elevate bums who will thank you for your efforts by siding with the mate THEY really wanted when all your effort is spent.
I wish you find a good man who will appreciate your wisdom and knowledge. You are a blessing to whoever is going to marry you. Women Shahr Ali is trying to build from this book are only found in Venda, Limpopo province in South Africa.
This woman, Shahrazad Ali, does not disappoint. She resonates with truth, and our women and men will benefit tremendously by listening to her and heeding her message. She's not ahead of her time; she is, in fact, timeless. Thank you so much, Shahrazad Ali.
She oozes royalty and feminine behavior. She oozes righteousness. No man can look at this woman as a so-called black man and not want her!! She is grace....
I’ve been married twice and wish that I would’ve known how to choose the right men. Now, as a 40+ woman, I’m finally discovering this type of content and understand how important it is to be the right woman, choose the right man and build black relationships based on respect and love. If you’re a young woman watching this, make your first marriage your last marriage and work on being his peace, paradise and making your husband your priority. I’m entering into my last marriage and yes, I’m not afraid to say “I need a man” yet I need the right, masculine energy man that loves, provides and protects this black woman. When we become better women our men become better men.
Do you think that black men don’t have the ability or responsibility to make the decision for themselves to get better? What you describe at the end sounds like the same old route of black women taking the lead and being an example for men to do better. Doesn’t that make them the women and you the man again? Don’t you think men have the responsibility to organize themselves and challenge themselves to be better or do you really think it’s a woman’s job to lead them to self betterment? What the heck are black men doing with their time and why do you think they don’t have the ability to do this themselves?
Thanks Ms.Ali for standing up for the Black Man you are one of a kind. Please keep up the great work you are doing in a very powerful and positive way!!
