What actors like in an interview: they appreciate questions about the filmmaking process, they like questions that probably require a couple seconds to answer. The reason why many people like Kevin is because he asks actual questions instead of questions like “so who’s in your love life” or “was this movie fun”. He asks good questions and actors can tell he’s very professional and is interested in asking about their careers instead of somebody from “national enquirer” who asks about person they’re spotted with outside a restaurant.

Anyone else notice how Christian Bale seems a bit more upbeat in the Vice interviews. I mean he's still an introvert so it's a a very minute change, but he seems livelier. Or happier I should say. Nice to see that!

His performance reminded me of Daniel Day Lewis in Lincoln and Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill Totally fall into the role and you don’t even see them anymore. They truly embody the character

The way he gains and loses weight and muscle. Christ. He went from his weight in The Mechanist to how he was in Batman Begins in 3 months. And he went from Vice to where he is now in a decently short amount of time

He's been working in Hollywood since he was a kid. He has one of those Brit abroad accents you can't quite pin down like Gary Oldman (and even Tom Hardy sometimes), just an annoying twang here and there that you can't place. 😂

It’s funny - his intonation in the interviews about dick Cheney and vice - he talks like how he did in vice - he’s still got traces of that performance in him. Maybe he hides behind them a bit for things like this. I guess you have to put on a bit of a performance for this press stuff too

About the ad that preceeds the interview: " The untold true story, " of Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary of Scotland. Make that the untold true fiction because the two queens never actually met in person. Intermediaries carried out their infamous conflict and eventual demise. Hope VICE is more authentic. Christian Bale certainly looks the part in the trailers. He's an incredible actor who manages to cover all the bases in his characters from looks to voice and mannerisms. Can't say that's always true in Hollywood. Some films don't even bother to try and cast actors that are laughable in their parts like Anthony Hopkins as Richard Nixon. He's a fine actor as well but looks nothing like Nixon and simply couldn't pull it off.

Hopkins does not look like Nixon - but what a performance - the diction, sentence construction and mannerisms were Nixon through and through.
