Exactly sir. We are all of whatever country, if we are a citizen of that country, then, we are of that country's original makeup and should have sworn our allegiance to that country first and foremost. Our nationality should be second to this. Though looking into the future progression to mankind's evolution, it would seem that in order for us to survive as a species, the wars, genocides, atrocities must be exiled from our belligerent ways of the barbaric mindset. We as humans do not like change yet here it is, just look around at our so to speak, coming of age from the Millennials & gen Z. What has encompassed our species since the beginning is this very thing, borders. We fight over this like there is no tomorrow, unjustly so. I can see both sides, know the former as we all do, yet without some new interpretation into finding prosperity for all, somehow our battle may just be beginning. Instead of the circular, me, me, me, how about the we,we,we movement. If we all could share into building each impoverished country so they can succeed in maintaining their own social stability, then the need for finding refuge in a better place would not be so prevalent.I understand this is a tall order but used to say it in the eighties about China. When everyone became independent enough to have a cell phone and the luxury of porcelain then the avenues for self concerning plights of freedoms became more apparent. Every human who has tasted some sort of freedom knows only too well they want more. Here in the US, we take it all for granted as though not to understand not having it yet, here we are, about to eat crow like no one's business as our borders are being trampled on. The very old saying of, " careful what you wish for", seems more upon us as the future of our republic stands to be taken down, or apart in such a way it will never resemble that for which it once was. Many Americans are starting to get quite nervous because, we've always been able to have our cake & eat it too. Always supersized. Well folks, those days will be leaving us soon. Just to what degree will the impact of doing without all that we so dearly loved, have on our mental state. Well, get over it folks, you are about to enter into the realm of the have nots. Thank all of those and possibly yourself for not paying attention while the sheep kept letting the fox into the pen.
the quality of life that many of us grew up with will be completely gone in another 25 years -- and i dont remember ever voting for or agreeing to any of these things that have caused this rapid decomposition -- sleepwalking into a nightmre
@friendlyone2706 i understand that. However, I have run across to many people that you give them the information in plain English, and they still claim it said something else.
@@gizmofire The thoroughly brainwashed cannot see or process information in conflict with what they know. They cannot even say "I don't understand. It's a mystery to me." Baby steps, patience and very tiny doses of reality. And maybe, someday...
Victor Davis Hanson is so articulate about these issues that used to matter to Americans and which should still matter but, alarmingly, apparently do not! The man needs a larger,or louder, megaphone!
I go to work and I have othing in common with 98% of my co workers. I come home and I have an indian couple and a cuban family and next door to them a philipino family. All nice people, but I have nothing in common with any of them. I am an American of Mexican decent, but the American way of life is my culture. I know nothing about Mexico! I sometimes feel excluded from my own country. I dont even recognize it anymore.
VDH has the rare ability to transcend time, and understand the fabric of past, present, and future. Then the cherry on top, is that he can convey it to normal people in a manner they can digest. He's a National Treasure and I'm glad he's in so many places these days.
it takes average people more of their salary to pay RENT ONLY .. than paying back their ENTIRE MORTGAGE in 10-20 years back in the 50s 60s 70s ... so to claim people are comparably well off is a riddiculous lie
VDH has refused to see the reality that citizenship on paper is weak and that it was the common European heritage of White American which was the foundation. With that gone, we have the clownworld Balkan States of Multimerica. Blood and culture are far thicker than paper and ideas.
Absolutely. We've been brainwashed into civic nationalism and that it doesn't matter your heritage. Everyone is just as American as the historic white populace who risked, fought, and died for the country. And those white newcomers (in the past since we don't have white newcomers anymore) could at least, and in fact did identify with the founding stock. These new interlopers are not here to identify but to take advantage of what was already built.
😂Sensible citizens need to get jobs in the city councils, zoning boards, school boards ,precincts committeemen, election polls, legislators and federal govt agencies. Join associations, attend meetings and spend money only on companies that support your values.
I am waiting for my naturalization oath ceremony, and I am not sure if I am getting a good deal here. I have a PhD, a full time lecturer at a well known research university in new york, and make $69,000 a year.. I will never be able to afford to live in a 2 bedroom if I teach.. I am quitting
Citizenship in the early Republic was not really a thing. People were excluded from governmental participation by a list of We the People but not-you. Article 1 (Congress/census) lists who is to not be counted for representation, or who is to be counted less. Indians NO, Bondsmen 3/5th. Then those that can't vote are codified in rule of law. Women can't, children can't, slaves can't, then in state laws...Black people can't, Chinese workers can't.... However many European male adult immigrants could often vote right off the boat. This was true in the colonies and the early Republic. However with the 13th and 14th ammendmdnts this citizenship qualification started to be added.. Then it started to become tricky. You couldn't just look at someone and know. The qualifications to vote...natural or naturalized start to be copied from the UK and French republic.
Look at the local post office flag and notice how bad of shape it's in. Do they illuminate it at night if they leave it up all night in all kinds of weather?
Yeah … I can and do get along with just about anybody … at least in terms of “civility” but I am NOT and in NO Way interested in “Globalism”. Heck, I even wonder if much of the West Coast (SoCal, NoWashington, Coastal Oregon) should be allowed to be considered part of the USA … and much of the North & Central East Coast for that matter.
Honestly, there has been talks of 'Balkanization' but I prefer using an Israel-Palestine comparison instead. West Coast urban areas can go become Gaza, Northeast can go become the West Bank. These places seem to worship Palestine, anyway. But the rest of America? It can thrive on its own. We'll see who is better off in 10-20 years.
Predicting market movements is extremely difficult in reality. It requires the investor to be right twice: Essentially why individuals engage the service of experts who provide proper strategies to navigate the markets
At what point do we progress to entitling non citizens, in other countries, the rights to vote, receive welfare, etc.? Are we going to deny people their rights and privileges solely because they don’t live here? How racially motivated.
Victor please help Trump as an advisor his childish never ending personal battles are going to cost him this election if he just followed your advice we can get started leaving this nightmare behind
Remember when wiki was not an acceptable source for your teacher? And now "the adults" want to go around trying to use it to put everything into context? Go back and use a different source. Like we had to.
