I never understood why teams started him... All his trophies are tempered he gives gifts to the voters... It would be better for them to not know who's voting for those type of things.
@@burningspliffs Do you watch the games? He's probably the best rim protector in the league rn, and a pretty sizable reason for the Wolves' having the best defense in the league. There's a reason his +/- is so high. It's because his presence literally causes people to not take certain shots. It's hard to translate defense to the box score, and a few highlights of him getting blown by doesn't mean his defense isn't amazing

Apart from individually being uber eficient, makes everyone so much more efficient that they would be without him.
wemby has a lot of turnover, and instead of taking advantage of the paint, he stayed out in the 3 playing like a small guard. He did not seal, he did not boxed, and most of his shots are from iso ball. This game was won by IQ and experience

Spurs are a young team they still have a ton of time to let their players develop. Besides they have a vet in CP now so I'll expect a little more out of not only the spurs but Wembanyama because he will definitely get a lot more touches each game than last season. This game also his teammates didn't seem to find him on the court. I saw a few times where he was almost wide open and then their PG just runs to the hoop and misses

Jokic just bullied france's bigs and even after he fouled out, serbia grew the lead. Need 3s to win in fiba ball. France wasn't hitting them in the second half.

Yeah that’s just because Wemby don’t really play like a big, he plays like a SF, and also because his strength like you said. Once he puts on some weight, I feel like his post defense will definitely improve

Wemby like all of the bigs that are tall and skinny lets say plays SOFT, because he's not not BUFF, has issues down LOW hoping the skinny players don't get injured , super strong players pushing & throwing there weight around with elbows + knees.. so Wemby to me is like a Small Forward or Shooting guard! where he 's more comfortable so he can dominate with his WING SPAN around 8 feet ...wow he will have problems down low until, BUT once he starts to get more meat & muscles! LOOK out ! Most 7 footers with that similar physique will be more comfy outside! ?? Everyone who has seen him play with the San Antonio SPURS have seen his awesome skill set at his young age! now France should go far this 24 OLYMPICS, but USA looks Great!!! Hell no Jokic is the most valuable player to a team we’ve ever really seen. If he wasn’t playing they would’ve been locked by wemby and gobert but this man drops triple doubles on any type of defender.

About American “ commentators “ & “ experts “ : there’s a saying “ if you don’t have anything of merit to say , keep your mouth shut!” And that applies to these two and generally to most of us tv commentators, nba , ncaa and especially fiba competition ones . Atrocious child like comments and opinions , absolute luck of understanding international ( fiba) game . Goin’ on about nba stars to no end without inside knowledge how international basketball is played , tactics etc . One of em made total point to that effect by saying : Jokic & Vambabmya ( or what ever ) and 8 bench players . To them that should’ve been one on one game for duration. Whenever one watches any game commentated by yanks , MUTE THE SOUND , have a beer and watch it in peace and quiet without being annoyed and disturbed by cowboys yapping bullshit to no end !

Are offensive players allowed to push defenders under FIBA rules? Because Jokic was blatantly pushing people with his off arm on seemingly every play under the basket and none of them were called.
Terrible commentators. Extremely boring and the audio quality is garbage. Get rid of them and turn up the game volume. Can't hear anything! No excitement at all.
