Oh sweetie I feel ur frustration. I'm a 41 yr old woman with complete hair loss. I use ghost bond XL as I suffer regular hot flushes. Alcohol is used BEFORE the glue to rid the scalp of excess oil. If u put it over the glue the glue won't work. I do use walkers prep which I place where the glue goes. Then put one layer of glue down evenly, a wooden ice pop stick or I use a kitchen knife your finger has oils so isn't great.. Allow to dry till tacky then another layer & apply top piece once the glue is clear & tacky. Once on & in place wrap something tight around the top of your head & round the base of your neck & leave for 20 mins. Try that please or message me on Facebook & I can do a video 121. Hope this helps. I've no idea when this was posted. I wear lace front wigs but again I am bald so feel I can help you as best possible even though I'm a woman we're both in the same boat xx
Sir you supposed to apply one layer with a wooden stick then let it dry then apply the next coating three coats will make it last 2-3weeks, with you applying with your finger your adding oil to the product which makes it harder to dry and rubs the product right back off
3 things... Use gloves, so the oil in fingers don't fight the glue and it's not stuck on skin.. 2... don't wait for it to be one completely dry....wait till it's clear and tacky. If adding layers....you don't want it all the way dry .. you want it to have already been applied when drying is complete. 3. remember to shake it up. It's written " shake well" on there but the writing is so small can't see it. The sticky on your fingers....that's the effect you want on the scalp.. you let it dry too much.
Great video! You just need to use a small and clean stick for application, wait for the layers to dry clear and tacky before applying another one, you could use a hair dryer or I sometimes sit infront of a fan whilst doing it. You need to wait a few minutes after the last layer before you apply the system and then wrap it with a scarf or headband etc... trust me the results will shock you when used correctly 👌🏾☺️
You sound very knowledgeable ... question, I use tape, but I want to try the glue ... with the tape I use a positioning spay so I time to align it correctly ... just curious if you would know if I can use the positioning spay on the glue as well or use something else ... thanks!
I'm not usually one to comment on a video on RU-vid ever but I've been using ghost bond for years and this whole video almost felt like I was watching some sort of parody Or spoof first of all you never apply wet hair to adhesive the hair needs to be bone dry you never put any kind of isopropyl alcohol on glue and less you mean to be cleaning the glue off it makes it come off you also shouldn't use your bear finger even after you've cleaned your fingers there's natural oils on it that will interfere you should use a spatula of some sort or a popsicle stick and prep the bear skin with rubbing alcohol before hand to get off all oils
Bear skin? Wait, are you using your paws to type? The comma and full stop are to the bottom right of the keyboard. I can Bearly understand what you're telling me.
Your not supposed to use it like that it actually drys really fast and stays on for almost 2 weeks your not supposed to spray anything on your head first you really only need two layers it drys in about 30 seconds
You waste lots and lots of liquid glue in principle, you should use the liquid glue only for inches near the front forehead. In the rest of the unit, you will use Walker's double-sided adhesive from the series called ultra hold.
as well I feel it necessary to add there's a very specific set of instructions for using this adhesive and has plenty of videos here on RU-vid to teach you how to just look up women applying their lace wigs with ghost Bond you're supposed to apply the layers very thin and you usually count to 20 between applications roughly simply you want to wait until the glue look clear before applying another layer after you applied three layers by way of this process you add the fourth layer and for the first layer the instructions state you should wait about 7 minutes you should definitely wait until it looks clear then don't pinch it with two fingers to test it simply touch it with one tiny bit of pressure on one fingertip to see if it's sticky and tacky then apply you are to pay or closure any gently press it down do not brush it immediately certainly don't play it before you have to be somewhere or at work you want to apply this the night before and you want to put some sort of bandana on it to press it down afterward and again the hair that you're gluing on should be absolutely dry with no products in itbassinet down with the bandana or head scarf and then maybe try putting a beanie cap on on top of it do not comb it for 24 hours
Used this bond 3 days ago for the first time , I applied first to the poly and let it dry while I put it on my scalp , it worked wonderfully I don’t use any spray before , and it s so not shinny compares to otherglue specially with the poly it looks so fake on the hairline when it s shinny , I ve been wearing poly just on my hairline like you , but I may go back to swiss lace , whatever give it another try I m sure u will love the glue and let time to dry before u stick anything give a good five minutes for the poly to dry and ur scalp
I don't wear fake hair yet, although I have bought a partial piece to experiment with for when my hair eventually recedes to the point where it looks too bad (i'm getting close!). I bought an expensive lace hair piece. I tried to attach it one night out of interest using a glue like the one in this vid, and it just wasn't strong enough! I think maybe these types of glues are just useless? I will likely try the walkers glue that i've seen you use before. It seems to do a much better job
I noticed you put your peace kind of wet. It supposed to be dry. Give the glue a minute to dry. Use your other finger to estimate the strength of the glue. All skins are different. Your doing the procedure wrong. Good luck brother
For anyone wondering, there's no SIGNIFICANT difference between them. But do NOT apply them like this 😂 Edit after watching, do not follow this channel or video at all, just skip it completely
WAY too much glue. Thin thin thin. first layer, wait a few minutes until tacky then one more very thin layer. Wait five to ten minutes and your good. Try not to sweat too much and don’t shower for at least 24 hours. By 36 hours you will have a rock solid bond. Definitely needs to cure before you place the piece on and then cure while it’s on.
Put one coat on wait for it to turn clear. Put the second coat on and wait for it to turn clear. Third coat on and wait for it to turn clear. One coat on the system and wait till it turns clear and then put it down. I work for a major company that does this.
