Video Review: X-Transbots MM-IX KLAATU 

I got mine yesterday...great little figure! I found that if you push down on his head before you press the release button, it's a lot easier and you don't have to use something other than your finger to do it. By pushing down it takes the pressure from that spring off the latching mechanism. Not as dramatic as letting his head pop up, but probably more gentle on the figure and your fingers.

If I hadn't caught the Lost Boys reference, that would have really freaked me out.

Great review and I think I might just go in on this figure. I like what X-Tbots has done here. Except for needing a tool to pop the head, it seems quite nice. Thanks for sharing!

with your lights it looks like he is really flying. my dreams have come true. real flying transformers.

If you push down on the head while collapsed, it will push the eject button out and make it easier to push

Techno Detailed Circular Base is my new EDM group.

The fact that his head springs up is nice, but I feel like it would work better if the whole blue portion of his chest flipped down for easier access to the button.

The robot mode looks cool, but I prefer my flying saucers a bit flatter. The tube jutting upwards is so unsightly.

That moth, now an internet celebrity.

I think I like this one better than Mastermind Creations version, definitely more than Toy world's. Might have to get this dude

Okay I really love this guy. He is far superior to Spaceracer in my opinion. Aesthetically and in transformation.

You can turn and hide the white parts on the feet’s and if you press the head the chest button come out so you can press it....

Neat, a Cosmos desk lamp!

I finally picked this up but I got the blue, female version (Barada). I usually go for toon accurate look but the blue just looked so good. However I much prefer the name Klaatu.

Alien Tentacle thing = Morphobot, (from the G1 episode "Quest for Survival")

I will ignore the obvious perverted joke and say he's an awesome figure and you did a great review. I definitely need to pick him up...

*@Peaugh, does he have thigh swivels?* It didn't look like it, especially since you didn't show them assume he didn't but I'm just double checking. Best COSMOS to date! The faction symbol gimmick, popup head, transformation, double hinged elbow/knees &.finally a GOOD Cosmos with bicep swivels! LUURRV ... Great review bro!

Peaugh, odd question here but hope you have suggestions. Of any KO that's out there today, which one(s) would you say are IYHO the best and a must have and under $100? I've watched your channel for awhile and others who do KO reviews and I would like to buy one but I've seen quite a few great ones. Any ideas would be awesome. Great reviews too!

Do you know if they are going to be releasing two versions of Klaatu? The initial pics I saw of this figure had him being a lighter green. They did the same with their Boost figure.

Thanks for your review. Tough to decide between this and ToyWorld's Spaceracer. Question on the Autobot symbol....... Did you buy it pre-cut (split down the middle) or did you do that yourself? If you did it yourself how did you line it up and what did you use to cut with?

You need a stiff tool to get in there?

Love the yellow paint but the green is a bit too dark, the toyworld green is nice but they chose gold so kinda stuck...wanted that G1 look. #onthefence

Very nice. The head gimmick is unfortunate; too strong a spring/trigger I guess. But the rest is really cool.

Does his hands have any sort of slot for masterpiece/alike weapons?

Great review. Question. Can the faction symbol part/foot flip piece stay in green (rather than white) in alt-mode? Just wondering because I would want to place a symbol on his chest and not have the white stripe showing in alt-mode. Thanks.

I really like his size, but I really don't like the way he looks. I was tempted when I saw the cow, but I could get one separately to go with my TW Cosmos anyway.

I don't see see it in the comments, so I'll just put what most of us are thinking: "...thin and stiff...", that's what she said. Anyways, nice figure. I always felt like he was an under-used character.

I asked the same thing on Ben's review - can the centre panel be pressed like a button to pop the head up?

how does it compare to toyworld's ufo?

Rather a back pack, than the G1 figure's butt pack. I have got a G1 Cosmos, and the back of the saucer just sticks out.
