48 hours in each destination, travelling via Vienna to Hallstatt, then Hallstatt to Salzburg.
Lots of beautiful buildings in Vienna including the Hundertwasser House and the oldest ferris wheel in the world Riesenrad in Vienna.
Then we took a 2hr train and stayed in Obertraun resort and crossed the river by ferry (5mins) to Hallstatt. Beautiful village surrounded by mountains and the lake.
Lastly, we stopped in Salzburg to see the Sound of Music house (Schloss Frohnburg) and the Abbey (Nonnberg Abbey) from the movie.
