'narrowness about food menu' .. you could be a great beauracrat for a communist govt or writer for a corporate lobby group or ambassador for the missionaries. Very smooth way with words to justify the unnecesary death and consumption of a species that provides no particular value either nutritionally or taste wise to any food menu.
Why do people eat iguanas? Because at one point, they had to, it was either eating iguanas or starve to death. Why do people eat beef tongue? Because at one people were poor and they didn’t have the luxury of wasting meat. It’s all about finding sources of proteins and nutrients from your surroundings.
It's just a alternative to beef, chicken, or pork. Some eat goats, lamb, or horses. All depends on locations and supplies. In these countries, these type of animals are plentiful and breed for consumptions. Depending on the country, the ones that do raise cow, chicken, or pigs belong to the government and too overpriced for regular people to buy. Imagine spending a week paycheck on one 8oz ribeye.
Not going to eat it since I've tried a lot of different foods. But this one isn't one I'm going out of my way to try. The recipe seems like something I've tried before but they used iguana instead of pork.
Since pandas are a protected species.. not going to happen. Honestly, it wouldn't be no difference than eating a bear. Also, bear meat is extremely tough and mostly turned into stew since it's so tough. On that note, that's why people don't go out of their way to eat certain animals like bears.
From videos you learn about foods that you don’t see everyday; From comment section you learn about how so many people volunteer to be haters towards things they don’t see everyday.
I am a chef with 10 years of experience in Michelin Start restaurants, I know no one has asked me but I have always been against this practise of ending the animal's life. Summerging it into boiling water it is not human at all, it is actually mad. This "technique" is used mainly in crustaceans and in this case in reptiles but I have always found it outrageous. Not human at all, could it sound super hypocrite? Maybe, but trust me when I say that practise should be prohibited.

@@ck-bs2msRemember when there is a video about how they prepare an octopus similar like this one? The uproar is insane and people began to say there is many ways other than that. So yeah it can be applied here. There is (or atleast) SHOULD BE another way than that. It's inhumane.
Looks like delicious curry, I want to eat some of that😋😋 In Florida there are invasive iguanas and some people hunt and eat them and their eggs, as they should Iguana eggs are all yolk and so much better than chicken eggs
