I feel like all the greatest interviews were on David letterman because he would interview singers and actors and actresses. I love the interview he did with Donald trump back in the 80s. Besides David Letterman my favorite guy to watch on interviewing celebrities is Graham Norton.
@@brandoncollins1225 It's called becoming boring. He turned from a comic to a withered husk of an "entertainer". He still had some mildly entertaining bits, but it's really fucking sad I grew up never getting to see Dave in his prime. His content here is on par with Conan. In many ways even better. It shows why Dave is Conan's idol. Makes more sense than what I saw at CBS. He always came off as grumpy and humorless. Only thing left was his Top 10 lists and they were never that entertaining to me to begin with.
Maybe it was the writers. They had some great jokes. He really got mean, inpatient toward the end. Also, he couldn't go out on location anymore because people would know him.
This was one of the funniest times on David letterman because Mark Hamill lies about being on the David letterman show. He said he was in England but he was broadcasting right outside the studio. Mark Hamill is the man. 😂😂😂
I have read people commenting how short Mark Hamill is. He doesn't appear THAT short. David Letterman is 6'2". Harrison Ford is 6'1". Carrie Fisher is 5'1". Mark Hamill is 5'9". I like Mark's height. Not too tall, but not too short, either. Just right!! Plus, very handsome and cute.

I’ve seen this video so many times it’s one of my favorite David letterman clips. I think Mark Hamill is hilarious in this. He acts like he’s in London promoting his movie Star Wars return to the Jedi but he is really outside of David letterman’s studio aka show. Anyway I didn’t actually pay attention to the date of when this interview or appearance was filmed. July 28th of 1983. If I was alive then it would have been my birthday. July 28th is my birthday. Just an interesting fact I just wanted to say.

It's what's known as my SSIDB -- my "super-secret informational database," a name with a long story behind it. It's a pretty robust database on Late Night that I've been cultivating for over 30 years. Some shows are more detailed than others, but for this specific show, yes, the novelty items are all itemized.
It does make me wonder was this part of the show or was it real. My mind is telling me this was staged. If or the day I meet Mark Hamill I would ask besides all the Star Wars questions i just feel like this was staged because mark acts like he doesn’t know what to say, and when David Letterman said “I’m not so much mad but disappointed”. And Mark Hamill says “Are you”. It has to be part of the show. I know it is.
