How I found Dan: the Netflix series had just started & I restarted my Witcher III. I was looking for mods & came across one to replace the quest completion choir sound w/ a snippet of a metal version of Toss A Coin (loved it & still use the mod). The modder listed the artist, said he got his permission & linked Dan's YT. Which I followed because I had to hear more, lol. The rest is history.

I love your reactions. Your enthusiasm is uplifting. As others have mentioned, Dan is a huge retro gamer. It's his main hobby. He still has the first Nintendo system his father bought for him and his brother when they were little. (His brother Davi composes music for video games now--how cool is that?!)

Yes, he does his lighting snd videography also....he usually does everything and if he uses anyone else, he mentions them on the cover. He even repairs his computers if needed. A man of many talents.

You have just blown me away AGAIN!!! I'm at 0:54 in the video, and you were just mentioning how you started playing video games when you were just 3 or 4, etc.--both you and your brother. Have you seen my "About" page...on my FIRST channel...which I started in...2015??? I probably don't dare mention that name, but it ends in "Gone Gaming," instead of "Got Grace." Also, did you know that both Dan and Davi started gaming when (I think) Dan was 5 and Davi was 3? Their dad started them, and they've both been gaming ever since. Also, Davi is now a world-renowned game music composer. I joined his Patreon page only a couple of weeks before I joined yours. Also, about two weeks ago, the piano version of his ENTIRE OST for the game Coromon, was released. I bought it AND the original OST on Bandcamp. It's a whole suite of 52 WONDERFUL songs for the game. You know how when Dan sings, he IS the song? When Davi plays his instruments, and when he composes music, he IS the music. It's just ingrained in them both. So wonderful! OK...back to the reaction. 😀 Regarding the question about his videography. Yes. Once he got his initial studio up, he got a single good camera for following his moves. I think it was when he got his garage made over into his present studio, that he added the single light. Now he has two cameras and two lights, and obviously he uses them in the best ways. You should check out his short series called "Ask Dan Vasc." He tells about a lot of the things he's learned over the years, and he shares it so that others can make use of the techniques as well. I was watching Dan's eyes and the little extra smile he got on his face JUST before he swung into the scream and then you ran it back to hear it again, after saying, "He knew just what he was doing." Oh, yes, he certainly did! Have you seen that he's now done both "Priscilla's Song" and "The Song of the White Wolf?" They are both stupendous.
You might try on a gaming stream or anywhere it is a live stream where he is a guest, to send a " superchat" that is actually read by either the host or by Dan himself. A superchat can be just a few dollars or more to be read. He has so much email that it would take him years to go through it. Good luck, it would be EPIC if you could talk to him!
Yes, this was great. But the best cover of this, in my opinion , are Skar productions, more metal and harsh vocals too… Skar and Dan did Pokemon theme goes epic metal together. Its amazing 😉😉
I recommend that you listen to his Time To Say Goodby cover. Beautiful opera cover. He talks about why he loves singing these Italian operas at the end. I’m sure you will enjoy this one.

I have a suggestion on Dan. He put out a video entitled "I Give Up Making Videos:" either April this year or last year. I, of course, dashed to see it. Boy oh boy, what a surprise! He showed off his kinda new arm muscles and silky hair. Woot! By the way, his name is Daniel Vasconcelos. He uses Vasc so more people can remember it,,, and remember it we certainly do!

I'd never even heard of the Witcher games & series until I found Dan and his covers of these songs. I agree with you that they should use at least some of Dan's songs in the series. This one especially sounds like music that would compliment a monster killer.
