By western standards, these people don't have a lot of material things, but their quality of life is much better in so many ways than those of us who live these so called high quality of lives in Europe and North American cities. They are so self sufficient and able to grow their own food, so despite what goes on around them, they can still provide for themselves. This is the way life was when I grew up on the prairies in Canada over 60 years ago. Great video!

Pavlo, our family here in Canada would do the same things as you’ve shown in this vlog. The clover honey was very tasty The wax cappings would be heated up to melt the wax in a water bath, then carefully poured in muffin molds, cake pans without the propolis and other stuff, leaving clean, yellow beeswax cakes and muffins. We still have a big box of these that we use the wax for making pysanky. And they still smell wonderful. Thank you for a trip back to good memories, Pavlo!

Absolutely fabulous film of simple but hard working village life. A truly interesting documentary worthy of the BBC.

So glad I saw this video. Too much sadness around at the moment. Our damsons are almost finished now but the raspberries will continue for another month. 40 jars of jam so far. We pressed 200 litres of apple juice for cider last weekend and will do so again in 2 weeks time. Not sure about the honey as 1 hive not so good. Will harvest the squash next week. Plenty of potatoes in storage. Two more weeks for tomatoes and will then plant garlic and broad beans for next year. Put food on the table for your family.
