Hello guys! Ok, there is NO ugar added to dried fruits! Think about it, if a fruit is sweet naturaly when its dried the ugar content seems higher because the water is gone and so the sweetness is concentrated!

We eat them as a snack and give them to kids. You can take them anywhere and eat as you go. When they are dried, the natural sugars are more pronounced and concentrated. They are awesome!!

I don't know about that specific brand but generally there's no added sugar. When the fruit is dehydrated the natural sugars consolidate making it quite sweet. The health benefits remain intact. I have a dehydrator that I use regularly to preserve the fruit I grow and I never add sugar.

Dried fruits are great on cereal or cooked into bread or cookies. I like to eat them with mixed nuts for a snack. Throw them in a bag and take them on a trip.

I wonder how many people have actually eaten the silica crystals like it's the norm! Give them this info beforehand before they start picking their own mushrooms 🤣

*I use jaggery! Cranberries are very good for urinary system, and blueberries have antioxidants. Mulberries are really good, too! Blueberries grow on a bush, cranberries grow in bogs, and black berries are also a bush plant.Congratulations, Aman! Whilst living in Arizona, there are olives trees all over, and I've cured them many times. I enjoy seeing Raeen contemplate everything, and Sarru totally submerse himself in the experience.*

I love cherries, sadly it's getting harder for me to find dried cherries and chocolate covered cherries. I don't have a car so I am limited to where I can go.

Not sure why they think the berries have been soaked in sugar syrup because that is just not true. They are simply dried and packaged. No sugar has been added. Dried fruits tend to taste a bit more sweet than the fresh fruit because the fruit is compacted. They should not feel guilty about eating dried fruits, although you need to monitor the amount you eat. It is easy to eat more dried fruit than you would fresh because it is more compact and because of this, you will get more sugar in your blood. So, if fresh is available it is always better for that one reason. Just be sure to not eat too much.

They could grow all those thing...and please tell them blueberries seeds are very very small. You can blend the berrys in a blender with water, and the seeds will all fall to the bottom....pour it into something to save them in, minus the water, or plant them.

Blackberries are my favorites. This was a great mix for them to try. An interesting bit about blackberries - different varieties are native all over the world, but the ones growing wild all over Oregon (my state) and Washington are call Himalayan blackberries. Only they're from Armenia, not the Himalayas. 😁 They're considered a pest here because they take over big areas super fast and are hard to kill. Plus Oregon grows most of the US's blackberries, and the cultivated kind are bigger, juicier, and no one wants them getting mixed up in the fields. Aman is looking very handsome today! How close is his wedding?

Marion Berries!!!!
@daricetaylor737

Our local park here in Chico CA also suffers from the wild black berry bushes. Every couple of years they hire a guy who has a large herd (nearly 1,000) goats. He brings in the goats, fences off an area and the goats literally obliterate all the under brush. It is an economical and environmentally safe way to clear out all the brambles without having to use pesticides or other killing agents. Plus the goats bring in a lot of added foot traffic to see the herd at work.

@@daricetaylor737 Those are my favorite, though they aren't the ones growing wild all over. 😄 Marionberries were created by Oregon State University in cooperation with the USDA. I *wish* they grew wild all over! They might become a pest, too, though.

@@daricetaylor737 Goats are marvelous for that sort of thing. Smart idea. I dunno how many goats they'd need to clear off the PNW, though. Just here in Portland you can see the bushes sprawling all over beside the freeways in several areas. And that's where they're sprayed. They like invading older industrial areas, too. It gets worse in the countryside. Out there they take over abandoned farms and buildings on back roads, not to mention in national forests and the Cascade and Coast ranges. Some areas remind me of the photos of kudzu in the South.

@@monicapdx I knew that fact Monica. I was born in Oregon and have relatives still in Salem and Portland. My Aunt and Uncle farm outside Salem and they grow marion berries on part of their farm. Anytime we would head north for a family reunion we would always come home with an ice chest full of the yummy berries! My husbands favorite way to eat them is in a cobbler.
