This story reminds me of my younger sister. She chose drugs over her kids and screwed the family over. We all disowned her. It’s good that you decided to turn your life around but it doesn’t change the fact that your son’s life changed because of the choices you made. My heart goes out to your son. May he find good parents in the next life.

Sister, don't be too hard on yourself. Everyone can say that as a teenager/young adult.. we've made bad choices when we thought we had the world wrap around our fingers. You made your mistake, grew up, and made good life choices by going to school and becoming a nurse. You tried to be a better person already. You tried to connect with your child but it didn't work out. I hope you find peace.

Don't blame yourself and don't be too hard on yourself. You did what you could when you were young and you didn't make the right choices, but it was when you were young. We all have to let go of the past and the bad choices we chose. Don't let guilt chew you up. You should be happy you gave the child up so the child would have a better life than what you could have provided. You should be proud of yourself in the situation you were in when you were so young. Don't judge your past and accept everything you've done. You already made up your accomplishments. Be happy for yourself.

Sorry I don’t care for this lady. Your choice brought a son into this world. He has to live based on your choice. You went on to live a happy life! Even after you found him, you still didn’t chose him. Yes you don’t need to bring him to live with you but you could visit him Daily and make it right. Many are struggling with infertility meanwhile you got pregnant and abused drugs. Sorry not sorry!

The only one I feel bad for is the 1st born son because 1 or both of his parents were drug users. He probably wouldn't have been that way if both parents weren't using drugs. Glad she turned her life around.

My wife's sister married a Mekas who has a company. He doesn't want her to touch anything he has. He pays her like an employee, but takes all her money. They are fighting like cats and dogs over money, and each time they fight, he run away. She is now having depression and mentally unstable. Good luck to you guys who favor Mekas.

Nope, she should divorce him. My MeKas husband puts me on every bank&credit accounts he has, I have access to all of his emails/phone/social media and I just need to spend out money “responsibly.” If you marry someone, regardless of their ethnicity. Find someone who loves, respects, cherish, appreciates and cares about you. If he’s not that, leave. Don’t look at their money, don’t look at their potential, don’t be foolish. My Husband loves me, he goes to work and straight home. He only hangout with 2 friends, who are also dedicated to their family. (Once a month) He eats all the foods I cook and my family makes. He doesn’t discriminate. Find someone like that… He loves me a lot and I age gracefully.

That if they are family oriented, then someone to love their family as well. Don’t put a halo on someone because of their ethnicity and religion. Judge them their actions and character.
