When i was a teenager in the 80s i was shopping at at Wilsons Leather in the Mall in Northridge Ca in walks Vinnie Vincent I asked him if he was Vinnie Vincent and he was suprised. Ireconized him without the makeup he was super nice and gave me and my brother his autograph.10 years later while working at Home Depot he came in and i talked to him and he was still a real nice guy im sorry he has had so many mental issues.I wish him nothing but the best.
Vinny Vincent and Paul Stanley would be easy to recognize without their makeup, it wasn't that big. Paul Stanley even said once in an interview that he use to get recognized all the time without his makeup back in the 1970's.
The he/she is f**in' _CERTIFIABLE._ (No question that he made KISS a bona fide _METAL_ band though.) Getting to hear the old original songs played at such an intensity is mind blowing. I would hardly be surprised that if they released another KISS: Off the Soundboard from say Montreal or Toronto 83', it would outsell the rest of the soundboard series no prob.
wow what a bozo! Kiss was my first concert. 1983 I believe Norfolk, Virginia at The Norfolk Scope. It was the "Creatures of the Night" tank tour. no internet back then so you can say this 12 kid was pretty shocked when Ace didnt walk out on stage but this new KISS character I knew nothing about. the whole show I was like who the hell is this guy and where is Ace. His face is on the album cover. I think KISS fans all know now that Ace didnt play a single note on that album it was all hired guns (studio/session players) helping KISS out. They paid Ace to use his face for the album cover and then Vinnie came in learned the songs for the tour. I thought personably it was a kick ass first concert and I still think about it. Certain parts I can remember that is. Looking at this stage set up here. no drummer!? and he replicated Eric's Tank drum rig? wow $500 a ticket!? Really? That is absolutely so arrogant. The dude is a hot mess. I cant believe Ace agreed to this. It makes ya think how much Vinnie had to pay out to Ace's appearance. In all honesty I really loved his character (that Paul designed) it really fit him well at that time. when he tries to pull that look off now..,..its nothing short of hideous and embarrassing. It's a shame the way this band fell apart and they tried glueing it back together over and over but I guess that I also loved about their spirit of not being defeated and ending it. When they all four put out their solo albums together in 1978 they would do that again but each member putting out an autobiography. It seemed like Paul and Gene constantly were then and still now throwing Ace and Peter and Eric and Vinnie and Mark under the bus. I dont recall any bad talking about Kulick but man this band has literally been in my life since I saw KISS meets the Phantom of the Park when it came out. I have so much KISS stuff I could puke. No idea what im gonna do with it all but I cant take it to my grave all the trash talk from the members has been a real put off and has tainted my fondness of love for the band. He should really stop milking his 15 seconds in that band and taking advantage of people and their nostalgia. Big ass BOOOOOOOO from this tired ex-KISS fan of 40 some odd years.
sure man. dont get me wrong I loved that brief era with Vinnie Vincent he added a much rougher edge and attitude totally different from Ace. will never forget that concert. but the state of KISS now is like all my other hero bands hanging on by a thread. Kiss def. slowly lost an edge and the dark elements they've become to glossy. to how do I say it without hurting Pauls feelings....too Claire's Boutique Cliche. the way they are hating on each other speaking dirt about each other especially Paul and Gene geez those two. its like I dont wanna hear all that. its really tainted their legacy for me. upsetting they seem to all hate each other and poor Vinnie he was in Kiss for a few years like 30 years ago. charging what he is for meet and greets and shows. its so desperate. his make looks like a drunk person put it on. the last kiss show I saw was one of the many farewell shows and as I stood there seeing Paul prance around licking his finger tips, in tight nut hugging spandex wearing a wig, in high platform shoes and red lipstick and every song is practically about his cock or genes cock and all this while the front row is men all over thier 40's with pot bellies. I was starting to feel a little uncomfortable honestly and that was it. I have so much kiss shit ive collected for 40 some years its crazy. and all this coming from a gay guy. when straight men on stage in tights and lipstick singing about thier dicks can make a gay guy uncomfortable it's time they stop and reevaluate what they are doing or just say ok yeah um were done. haha. I normally dont out myself but the situation called for it here. lol hope it made ya laugh @@youthamongus
Well said and I myself have been a "KISS" fan since age 10 in 77' and I also have a nice collection. I 100% agree with you and share the same views & opinions about Vinnie Cheers from ~NBS🦂 From Vancouver🎸🥁 🇨🇦Canada🇨🇦
Appreciate your take on this. I bought the Vinnie Vincent Invasion LP back in the late 1980s, and was impressed by the fusion of hard rock, metal, and a little bit of off-center funk. I actually think he's deserved a little more credit than he's gotten over the years, but I have to admit that he's unfairly used KISS to float his image, for better or worse.
GUYS! I just purchased Vinnie's un-laundered socks for 60 grand! I feel like I got a steal of a deal. The envelope they were packaged in - that he may have touched - must be worth 1k alone! Damn I scored big. You guys missed out..........OK now back to reality, sorry guys, I did some bad drugs.
My understanding is that Paul Stanley also buys cheap guitars for hundreds of dollars, smashes & autographs them & then sells them for thousands on his OWN website! Paul & Gene have been no saints by comparison. I've read that Peter Criss was to have been the drummer at Creatures Fest with Bruce, Vinnie & Ace--but didn't play because he felt the drum rider was too close to the ceiling. Clearly, all's not right in the Vinnie camp either--but it strikes me as odd when people point all this stuff out about him & yet have little problem with anything that Gene & Paul have been doing for several years now--and that's been a litany of things, too.
I agree that a lot of people who make it become somewhat outta touch with some of these marketing ideas. It would have really been cool to see Peter play. I'm all for keeping the fire alive that these legends have lit, but there has to be a better way
The limits of Vinnie’s delusional ideas of what he’s “worth” are exceeded only by the delusional behavior of those still willing to pay for his crap. Excellent video
Man, thank you for watching. This was my first video of this kind ... and With a lot of these comments I'm getting could be taken either way. They would be proud to hear that, I look forward to talking to you more brother take care
I also agree. I would find it more interesting if he did something by himself going over the solo sections of songs fans love. I get it if he wants to be on stage again, that's a given. But some better marketing plans would be a gift
If you watch his guitar instructional Video, that’s pretty much what he does. Chromatic licks where he uses chicken picking aka picking and plucking notes with your fingers as fast as possible.
❤Hi, I'm Trish Moon and I am the owner of Vinnie Vincent New Euphoria for Free. I would like to thank you for mentioned my group. I am a Brazilian fan who was tretead like a garbage bcs of Vinnie for 2 years in other groups and he himself using his fake account Paul Runner. Asked me a permission to use one of my paintings as an album cover and promised to sent me some gifts but he simply blocked me after that and until this day I think that he simply used me.
It's Vinny's right to ask whatever he wants for whatever he's selling but I think whoever buys what he's selling needs a wellness check from the cops... the dude is not only a terrible guitarist but doesn't seem to be any better of a human
vinnie's smart. he knows a lot of kiss fans love collecting all things kiss. i worked with a kiss fan a long time ago. i had these small diecast kiss cars i was going to throw out. i sold them to this guy for $20 each. Now they're on eBay for hundreds each. ya, kiss fans are funny and weird
I wonder if anyone who purchased the infamous boxed set (late 90s/early 2000s) ever got their refund - it was still be discussed by fans and promised by Vinnie just a few years ago.
@@markusaurelius777 I knew when he said it that he had no intention of giving anyone 2 box sets. Anyone who's done a little research on him could've predicted he wouldn't keep his word.
I met Vinnie once...he has a river of coke snot running from his nose down his chin, he had shit himself and they were slowing down the music for him to solo over..so when it was sped back up it'd make him sound like he could play fast.. Great 1st impression!! Class act.
lol Yeah he's right up there. Whenever I think of Gilmour, Clapton, Gibbons, etc...my mind instantly goes to Vincent and that epic, incredible amazing, timeless tune; Lick it Up.
Nobody would know Vinnie's name today if he hadn't been invited into the band "KISS" He would probably be living alone in his car selling used guitar strings or busking on street corners for spare change.
Vinnie Vincent has lost his mind. The guy wants money for doing nothing. He's a washed up rock star who thinks he us owed. Meanwhile there's struggling musicians like us who can't get anywhere. He hasn't released anything and hasn't toured. Last video I seen of him, he couldn't even play his guitar to basic Kiss songs he played in the early 80's. He stood there grinning. No shredding or nothing.
Paul Stanley said "Vinnie sold a guitar that he claimed was his favorite, but never played it and sold it for more than it was worth in the store." Beware! Paul is on youtube claiming this. Now, I don't know Vinnie Vincent so I'm not passing judgement on him, just stating what I say and heard coming from Paul Stanley.
Celebrities can put whatever price they want on their garbage. If a fan buys it, that's on them. If they think they can resell for a profit, good luck. In 10 years, you'll be able to buy it $.05 on the dollar.
VV is a guy that obviously has some personal issues that he has never been able to over come, which is a shame because he helped KISS step out of the 1970's era and into the SHRED era when EVH ruled the earth. If someone is a super fan, I get it. But I think VV is just hoping for one sale every few months to keep the lights on
@@laluna5192 Well, besides the already countless songs that AI has made, and all the songs AI has created that tricked people into thinking it was new songs from pop stars.
Even in an era that produced a bunch of shred guitarists, Vinnie was over the top. I think he's flogging his association with KISS because frankly it was his finest hour as far as commercial success went. If he'd toned things down and maybe followed the career path of a Marty Friedman (joining an already-established band as it was on the rise) or a Paul Gilbert (adopting a more commercial sound) he might not have to keep reminding people he was the last KISS member to join during the makeup years. And as someone else noted, the fact that Gene and Paul aren't charging people to join their Facebook groups should tell him something.
There are a LOT of Kiss fans that basically gotta have it all, as long as it is related to Kiss. Like, Kiss itself is a hobby, even a way of life to them. Naturally, among them are also people who don't have a problem putting five figures into Kiss per year, like those who have attended all the Kruises, etc. If you make a lot of money and your #1 hobby is a band with more merchandise and collectibles out there than any other, I guess it makes sense. Vinnie's just exploiting the fact that these people exist, and that he was a part of two important Kiss albums. There are also a lot of Kiss fanatics that aren't very bright, as there would be with any group that large. I think some still think Vinnie is actually going to give them their box set, paid in full 30 years ago or whatever. There's no helping those people.
Peace be to you, Everyone thinks Vinnie played parts Steve Farris played on Creatures of the night. Vinnie is a poor player. Bob Kulick and Robin Ford played on the same record brilliantly. The record was an example of misuse of the language in Heaven...Music. After kiss Vinnie transitioned to another band and transitions to this day. A poverty of poverties. "Do you know my friend Thomas?" Jesus sent me to inquire of thee.
I think that hardcore KISS fans will patronize any vestige of KISS they possibly can, and that may mean buying Vinnie Vincent stuff. VV is probably using this to his advantage.
Vinnie screwed people the last time he came out and tried to sell something. Buyer beware. I did liked VVI's first album, but I saw some footage from the incident a couple years ago, and he did not look like the shredder he once was. He looked like he hadn't picked up his guitar in years. He could have just been nervous, but he just looked out of practice. I don't even think he took the solo, and it was Lick it Up, which shouldn't be the toughest song for someone who wrote it.
Look deeper... Vinnie ....when he was normal...and before he became a woman... Was a masterful song writer. Very Melodic and catchy everytime he composed something. Look up any of his songs he wrote and co wrote on Creatures of the Night or Lick It Up... Or one of his best solo songs That Time of Year. Thats the Vinnie I remember.
I very much enjoyed your take on this. I first saw KISS in I believe it was 1975 here in Las Vegas and was hooked. But you sir, are well on your way to being someone others look to. All the best.
@@youthamongus I am a music lover down to my soul. Seeing that first KISS concert was sensory stunningly amazing. But I had seen a different concert not long before that show that still stands out in my mind as outside of the birth of my children and grand children, was not only seeing Elvis on my birthday, but I got to go backstage and he sang happy birthday to a girl and I. Being born and raised here, the Rat Pack and Elvis are in our food and water . Hahaha
Vinnie has about 6-10 diehard fans. I loved his playing and thought he had the stuff to be Ace's forever replacement in KISS but my dear Lord, he/she went off the deep end.
Hey Vinnie where are those 2 box sets you promised all the people you ripped off? just more lies & broken promises so he can keep on grifting & conning his remaining fans, milking them for all he can get, lying to them then taking advantage with just one more announcement ..just one more cancellation ..just one more excuse & just one more LIE !!!!
As a guitar player, he used to be absolutely amazing; he had technique, precision, rhythm control, cleanliness and phrasing (when he wanted to be tasteful) out of this world. For the rest, I tend to separate the musician from the individual. Sometimes I can, just like in the case of Vinnie Vincent, sometimes I can't.
I'm 100% certain Vinnie isn't holding a gun to anyone's head to buy into his stuff...I believe PT Barnum said and I quote "A fool and his money are lucky enough to get together in the first place"
He played on 2 albums not “one and a half.” 🙄 There is no such thing as a half of an album, Shock Headed Peter. Vinnie was an incredibly gifted guitarist. His talent cannot be denied. Carmine Appice said Vinnie is a weirdo but praised his guitar ability.
Whenever I see a musician, especially a formerly respectable one, offering what appears to be substandard product - and people are obviously still buying it - my reaction is the same as Max Cherry from the movie Jackie Brown: "Whatever you're into, you seem to be getting away with it, so more power to you."
I still enjoy listening to the "Lick It Up" Album by Kiss, which features Vinnie Vinent on lead guitar, I saw kiss perform with Vinnie Vincent in the band in 1983, it was great as i remember it to be, after that , he was on one kiss album 40 years ago, oh and i liked his Vinnie Vincent Invasion album with "Boys Are Gonna Rock" On it, i liked it, it was heavy sounding, they were good live as well, After viewing this video and a few others ive seen recently i wont support him anymore, he obviously is taking advantage of the fans
the people who pay for this KISS stuff are delusional. had a guy show up in my business email, who had paid $12k for a gene simmons bass - and wanted me to play his dean razorback and give it back to him to increase the value on it, and offered me $0. lol. gene does not need your $12,000. that i can tell you dude.
