I stood in the desert for about two hours in 2007 and watched him, Lewis Black and Kid Rock perform on a USO tour. Talk about a great day. They brightened up a lot of peoples deployments and I will always love and respect each of them for it. I like to think that they didnt do it for the money.
Idk about the others, but I've read that Robin wasn't paid at all for his trips to perform for the soldiers, I like to think that too, it makes me love him that much more. I think he genuinely loved you guys :)
He literally read from the yellow pages and made it hilarious. One of the funniest, most talented men I've ever known. God bless him and may he rest well in heaven.
Captain my captain I miss u daily.literally.every time is see u my heart fills up with emotion n my eyes have to work painfully hard not to drop tears because the smile on face is what u always wanted n everbody smiling would be the biggest Tribute to u.
Richard Shaw Yes , he zoomed into our lives brought us laughter and zoomed on to fill heaven with laughter ! All that mysterious noises we hear ,that just the Angles laughing at Robbin Williams wonderful humor! ! R.I. P. Robbin we will never forget you !
"One day it'll be your child accepting the Nobel Peace prize, Then you have another dream where he says,"You want fries with that?" (hope I got that right☺️) Classic Robin.
Richard Shaw it's like the universe; infinite beyond comprehension, with infinite number of galaxies, supernovas, surely a few black holes... :) We have seen some, but there's so much more yet to discover. When I think of Robin's mind: it's the whole universe, right there.
I think he was bipolar with extreme swings to both ends of the spectrum. He was mostly manic with his rapid fire bursts of humor and changes of topic. Some of the most creative people in history had mania. Guess he swung hard to the depressive end of things into a deep depression which is what prompted him to take his own loss. What a great loss. Too bad he didn't seek help instead.
This is before he broke through with “Good Mornin Vietnam”. IMO, his stand up material didn’t match his showmanship. I LOVE his energy and he exploded onstage. I think he came off stronger on film cuz he was VERY good actor. He’ll be sorely missed.
ingahauks77 Comic Strip Live Robin discusses the Winter Olympics as though they were happening at that time, so this was apparently recorded in February 1984. He also mentions the death of Yuri Andropov, another event that occurred in Feb. 1984.
He was absolutely hilarious but I have no sympathy for anybody that's pussy enough to take their own life and not consider everybody else they leave behind and hurt
He makes a reference to Andropov's death as being just a couple of weeks prior to this recording. Yuri Andropov died February 9, 1984 so there you have it.
