@@millervintagehifi3034 the power amp board was mounted vertically and hard to get at. It also has two big 4 pin caps that used the world's strongest glue to hold them on with. I ended up leaving them on.
I bought mine for $200. Blown outputs because of a bad bias trimmer. Power switch "jumped" because of bad contacts. $200 in components and an extensive restoration, and it's now a favorite of mine. Kind of a "sleeper" only bested by Pioneer in watts when they came out with the 1010. Most powerful cap-coupled amp design put into production.
This era of Pioneer has very sensitive tuners. Even in a basement with a small TV/FM antenna attached, it's pretty impressive the amount of FM stations I'm able to receive in stereo. ,@millervintagehifi3034
