Here's a few outfits because I love doing these! I think the last one might be my favorite ;) My Insta: / rachel_maksy Music: Lucille Hegamin & The Dixie Daisies - "Cold Winter Blues"
One of the most amazing RU-vid channels I've ever stumbled across. I'm a history fanatic and love vintage clothing. You wear the clothes so well it's almost as though you were plunked right out of the era itself. Subbed!
the dresses seem like they could definetly blend in with everyday life, but it would still stick out in a beautiful way! except for the red one. the red one would be far too gorgeous to wear everyday 😂
I absolutely love the outtakes at the end of all your videos! They make you so relatable and it's nice to see a youtuber not take themself too seriously - some seem to seriously have a stick up their butt!
The outfits are great and I'm in love with each one! I always look forward to your videos. They're so well done, helpful and funny 💕 ( emphasis on the helpful) 😂
Looks like an autumn lookbook for my place and still in the late autumn cant wear all the things that you mentioned. When it's -6 I would rather not wear a dress alone
The red dress was my favorite but I will be recreating the blanket hermit for the rest of the season. It is the only one I am capable of, but also the only one I am comfortable in.
My style is evolving and your practical looks are helpful. As I move closer to a more fitting style I realize that I feel ill at ease in the things I have fallen back on in the past. Currently I am on a trip with my husband and have been styling my hair, makeup, and attire in a 40's and 50's ish way. I do seem to be getting some curious looks but not in a negative way. It seems that people find me more approachable and seem more mannerly. Gentleman open doors, ladies young and old admire my clothing and general look. I think my Great Grandmother was correct in saying, "If you look like a lady you will be treated as such." I tossed on my athletic shorts and a t today and feel conspicuous and under dressed. I will be using your tips to assure that I have suitable clothing on hand from now I'm. Thank you once again for your wonderful advise.
Hi. I really like your videos so far. :) Random comment but I think the black lace scarf you wear early in this video is actually a Catholic Mantilla. A lace veil ladies wear when at Mass or in front of Our Lord in the blessed Sacrament.
What a good video this was. I loved seeing how you used vintage and modern together and it'll help me figure out how to do that for my own look. Thanks for this. I really enjoyed it. ; )
I can just imagine you going to a formal party or whatnot with that red dress on. All the women are wearing the basic crappy dresses of today and whatnot. But you walk in and everyone's jaw drops. The men are drooling and the women are jelly bellys lol. You look amazing in it!
I just came here for some nice ideas to vintage-fy my winter wardrobe and instead I got a heart attack because I thought the dog smacked the book out of her hands with his mouth. (I care about the condition of books, okay?) Also damn, that red dress is everything.
All of the outfits look gorgeous! But one thing bothered me a little - the green dress would´ve looked a lot nicer if it had been ironed. It would´ve fallen down more smoothly, which it couldn´t since it was wrinkled in the middle. Still a great video:)
I need help...you're a fellow New England girl...how are those boots on snow and ice? I can never seem to find cute (nevermind vintage looking) boots that work in winter....and I hate having to carry snow boots around and change my shoes when I get where I'm going.
They're just 'okay', haha. I still wear them in the winter but once it gets to be like 2 feet of snow, I opt for snow boots and just change later. They're not designed to withstand a lot of liquid but they're okay on ice as long as the treads aren't worn out. The struggle of finding cute snow boots is real!
