Your enthusiasm for the tag is bursting. 100% agree on the National. We have kept Alligator, Boxer and Trouble Will Find Me but each record they put out makes we want to purge those too. Perhaps you're not listening to Since Time Is Gravity correctly??
I wasn’t exactly bursting with energy was I? 😂 I still have five National albums. I get closer and closer to purging one more. As for Since Time Is Gravity… I take the record out of the sleeve and plug it into my iPhone, right?
I’m the same way for the most part. Although there were a couple of 2xLP jazz albums that I thoroughly enjoyed this year. It could be because we listen to so much music?
Ohhh a new Dirty Three album would be amazing! I've been a massive fan since I saw them support Pavement in 94 in Brisbane. Also the music on the Wilco album is easily a 9 and their best since Sky Blue Sky.
As with most Wilco releases since Sky Blue Sky, I think the opinions are divided. I do love how defensive people get when I use a number like 7.5. Lol That's still a well above average score! Cheers!

When I first heard about Stunty's alternative vinyl tag, I assumed that it was just for those who didn't think Rob Walker's vinyl tag was sufficiently pretentious. Thankfully DG kept it real. I'll have to check out those Catherine Wheel reissues. Looking forward to the Americana tag. I think Mazzy has trademarked the phrase "loves you" in the VC so expect to hear from his lawyers soon.
Yeah, when I said that it was kind of mocking Mazzy. He’s in my tag out. So I’m already paying him residuals. I don’t think Stunty’s tag was meant to be exclusive. That said, the questions were kind of generic. Several of Rob Walker’s questions made my eyes roll, so I just couldn’t. I’m always happy when people feel I’m keeping it real. Thanks for hanging out! Very entertaining video, I dont like long albums nowadays even if all music is ok. When cd popularity was in its peak I didnt even think the whole issue but now even over 40 min vinyl is too much for me. And I dont like when somebody is saying the ONLY bad thing about record is that its too short because you can always spin it again. Cheers.

How did I miss this comment? Yes. Check out Pedernal. Very cool album imo. It looks like it’s not easy to find on vinyl. I got lucky on Discogs. I still have the Jane album and I still need to spin it! I’m so behind! Americana Tag and Soul Tag forthcoming.
Saw Dirty Three open for Beck at Grady Cole Center. Insane pit during Beck when he pulled out an acoustic. Weirdest thing I have seen at a show. Ambulances plural had to show up for the carnage lol
Go Away Polar Vortex 🥶 ! ( Polar Vortex is a good band name I think 🤔 ) Between Ferment & Happy Days is Chrome which is my favorite Catherine Wheel 🛞 album. Sounds great in the car late at night .. Agree that the Wilco cover is impressive & outshines the contents within. Saw The National live in 2023 & they accentuated catalog over the somewhat lackluster new albums. Still enjoying the National Championship 🏆 of Michigan & looking forward to pitchers & catchers reporting soon ⚾️ 🧢 !
Polar Vortex is a great band name. Chrome is great. I thought I mentioned that I picked it up too this year, but must have cut it out. I didn’t own Chrome in high school so that’s why I showed Ferment. There are some other decent songs on those two National albums, but by the whole - not their best material imo. Pitchers and catchers will be here before we know it! Go Lions!
