ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

The Redeemer is a Variant figure, where the regular figure will have normal white wings.

I would have gone crazy for these figures as a kid. Glad to see they finally came around to adding articulation to Spawn figures. Also, the Redeemer figure on Dorksidetoys has the regular colored wings. Maybe you got a variant

I'm so glad that Gunslinger Spawn has all removable guns from his holsters and not like the Arkham Origins Deathstroke where the guns were molded onto the holsters. I know that DC has their gun policies for their product, but it is nice to have removable guns for a character who is supposed to have guns.

My main gripe with spawn figures is that when it comes to Todd and his love for spawn he sure loves to make anything but spawn figures. It's always been variants of spawn and his villains. When he does decide to actually release a spawn figure it's very scarce stock or very hard to get a hold of. The Kickstarter spawn felt hush hush because I didn't even know about it till it was to late. And I very rarely ever saw the MK11 spawn anywhere. They were always out of stock.

If you follow him on social media, he advertised the Kickstarter a few different times and it was left open to order for months. He also released MK Spawn 3x with different weapons which you can still find on BBTS (the mace version) along with some variants. 🤷‍♂️

@@Bserk81 well I followed him after the fact on social media so yeah I didn't know about the Kickstarter. Since I don't really do social media to begin with. And I was talking major retailers that I looked inot. Not 3rd party sites like bbts which I also did not consider since they reserve pre orders for slightly more and your already paying more just to get it shipped. the retail price The other issue is it was almost always sold out in my area. So that's just me. 🤷. I still stand by what I said that he does work more on variants spawn than actual spawn figures since I've barely been able to get a hold of one and I almost always have spotted variants and villain figures before in the late 90's

Regardless of what people say it is kind of ironic that since the series started there has been no Al Simmons Spawn figure besides the Mk11 version and the Kickstarter one which those do not even count. How do you have a line of figures based on a series and not even have the main character yet?

He has the same problem with dc multiverse. A lot of Batman and Superman variants that are close to the contemporary designs but not right there. Especially annoying when they do a new character like scarecrow or bane and do an obscure design instead of their iconic designs

What's up Shartimus! If you don't mind, where do you buy your clear figure display holders? I've bought a handful of them but mine don't hold the figures all that well when displaying them in a jumping/flying pose like the way you show off yours. Love your videos man, thanks for what you do!

The difference in golds on Redeemer just comes down to paint vs molded plastic. The more vibrant gold is painted, the duller gold is molded plastic. Also, I don't think you noted that he's the Platinum Edition variant, other folks who got the early samples of the Spawn Universe figures from McFarlane also got that variant, rather than the standard which does have white wings and a different sword.

The gold seems to be a problem in recent McFarlane figures. The head is painted in gold - thats why it looks good. Armour and shoulder pads are molded i semi gold plastic, that's why it looks more crappy. They did this with the Warhammer 40k model (Blood Angels sergeant one)

I got it and there's a peg attaching the head and hat. You can remove it and place a new hat. He doesn't have a scalp tho so u gotta be a bit creative.

Ive preordered all of these figures and I think that they still need more paint apps.. I will have to do some touch ups with paints. About the new Redeemer figure, i remember that there as a Redeemer from Spawn Reborn series 25 which had green wings with a white paint wash. That's where I believe mcfarlane took that color scheme from for the New Redeemer fig. One last thing i wanna say, I hope that when Mcfarlane remakes the Violator for the Kickstarter masterworks figure its as detailed as the one we got but not so damn diesel 😁 Great condensed reviews for this wave of spawn figures

Violator and Gunslinger spawn are must haves for me. I was on the fence with GS... but I love Deadwood so for that alone I am sold. My only concern with GS Spawn is if the hat can come off. The hat is a must, but it'd be nice to chop it down since 10 gallon hats always look stupid. As for Violator I still say its more Vandalizer than Violator. Either way yes please, I need them. Raven spawn looks cool, but meh, Ill wait for a sale. Redeemer is a easy pass specially after just reading his story in the old run. Clown... close but no cigar. And hes too damn clean at the very least it needs a brown wash... I actually learned the meaning of skidmark from Clown as a kid. Fingers crossed for Classic Spawn figures in the future. Series 3 or 5 Tremor? Fuck yeah. Dark age Spawn, specifically around issue 5 or so where he just looks like a hulking corpse barbarian Spawn. Then toss in his gigantic double bladed axe with a morning star for a pommel... probably wont happen but I can dream.

My redeemer wing got loose all of a sudden. I took a little piece of paper and rolled it around the tiny joint and stuck it back in. The wing stays up perfect again now

raven and Gunslinger are the strongest of the wave in terms of quality i absolutely love them i wish thy had more articulations and hands! Violator clown version could have been better in the articulations department too they didn't seem to care about that hole Redeemer is pretty bad skinny legs, long arms and big torso are not great violator demon form is great but i wish more articulations too i feel we're going to get another AL Simmons Spawn with the new scale (he should be at least 22 cm because he is 220 cm in the comics) and classic colors i can't wait to have a taller spawn with the MK quality and without the twisted torso, i feel we really need it and i hope he will be GREAT

@@mrmola3295 I hope TMc gets more licenses (and entire wave for that) and a change of strategy for DC, and in my opinion they don't reuse the same mold that much, they only do this for the 2-pack (except death metal batman with guitar). but the main problem is the reuses of the same character in short wave, and it is tiring to think about buying another batman to complete the baf

Gunslinger did have two issues in the main spawn comic line they were just little issues explaining the character and his backstory.

So for the Redeemer you actually have the platinum edition and not the standard edition that people are preordering, the platinum edition is actually redeemer 3 first appearance look where he actually had green wings and the standard is his current look. The violator has actually had that design sense spawn 300 and it is not a new form. The raven spawn is actually from the hellspawn series and has not been show sense but they have been teasing him allot in variant covers,

Serious question shartimus , why do you look at non hasbro figures with far more scrutiny than you do Hasbro figures especially figures in the same price range as Legends? I cringe everytime you praise some barely painted barely sculpted Marvel Legends figure and then you go all super critical on a non hasbro figure in the same price range.
