Pilot Ryan, that was a grate Eflite Viper 1400mm maiden shakedown near death ☠️ flight recovery, that where your years flight experience kicked in you didn't panic at all, and thanks to the RC Air marshall for his demonstration on the transmitter set up for safe select and reverse assign, It's guys like you and the RC Air marshall are the reason this hobby is getting better.

as for the Draco i love this plane i just don't like the face that eflite don't say anything in the Manuel about the mix in the rudder to AIL this is a mix programmed in the AR637TA receiver i had to do a update so i can factory default the receiver and reprogram the receiver and put the mix on a AUX channel and a switch.
Question, at 17:16 you're assigning the ESC reverse thrust to channel 8, AUX3 switch F. But you could potentially run into a similar conflict by accidently assigning channel 8, AUX3 to switch B causing the same problem with SAFE on channel 7 with switch B already assigned.

Ryan. This New 90mm Viper is a well designed EDF jet from Eflite. The jet really looked good out there. Glad everything worked out for you. Kudos to Dave for his tutorials. My DX8e does not have the smart ESC thing for setting up the thrust reversing shown at around 23:00 or so. Do I have to update mine or is it different?
I know, I hate it as well. This rarely happens to us. We do have good mics. Unfortunately that day we had to use what we had when our good mic needed batts. Sorry, I get it. Our other vids do not sound as bad
Just don’t setup thrust reverse it’s a gimmick anyway, I don’t want to show my friends how I can back up on the runway. I won’t be buying a $600 foam eflight jet, way overpriced
On my transmitter I programmed reverse on a pushbutton only ("pilot fatigue"). I think I don`t need "controllable" on a switch because I can give small portions of reverse thrust with pushbutton only so I have enough of contol on the ground. IMO an extra switch for "controllable" is confusing and you have more risk employing reverse thrust while the plane is in the air.
Ryan i am disappointed in you making this mistake i only use the spectrum AR637T receivers and all Avian ESC;S i always use AUX 2 for my safe mode and i also always use AUX 2 for my flight modes 1,2,3,4,5 in all my big jets in the AVIAN ESC channel 7 is the reverse i always change that to channel 8 and in the receiver channel AUX3 channel 9 is my gain channel for AX3X AND CHANNEL 10 IS AUX 4 IS MY PANIC the (I) BUTTON all my old planes with the AVIAN esc,s i have update the ESC'S so i get the ESC PRG in the radio even my eflite T-28 Trojan now has reverse lol even my carbon z cub with floats i put in the reverse i went to a fun flight Tournament in NJ on a lake I FLY 4 planes all with reverse smart AVIAN esc's and the AR637T receivers i was the only one with a plane with reverse i got a extra 10 points for the reverse and come in first place out of over 30 guys flying .
Everything was going good til after I scrolled all the way to the right on my nx10. see the screen and did 0 throttle and up elevator and left but it doesn’t switch to the right. just stays on the left…. Thoughts?
Problem: I scrolled all the way to the right and got to Avian Prog. When I held up elevator and left Aileron, it did not switch to right aileron after 5-10 secs. Solution:All rates must be at 100% Safe should be Turned Off. The rest of the video was awesome! Thanks for awesome tips that could save a plane. Nice save by the way. Another helpful tip that cost me a draco crash was putting the reverse switch to close to my flaps. i hit reverse instead of flaps up and my outcome was not like yours. many many pieces. Now reverse is on the other side of my controls away from the other switches. Thanks Again

RYAN. This flight was awesome. Even with the almost crash I personally am proud that you showed this and also figured out what the problem was and how not to make this mistake.
