Virginia vs. Texas Tech: 2019 National Championship extended highlights 

Cavaliers finally won a championship without lebron

Probably one of the best title games in recent memory. Overtime, two teams fighting for their first title, what more could you ask for. Feel bad for Texas Tech but they had a fantastic season and should be back next year.

It's crazy how every team that has ever lost to a 16 seed has ended up winning the national a year later .

There was so many clutch shots in this game by both squads, this was one of my favorite title games in years!!

Virginia was humbled last year and this year they were graceful winners! Two great teams! It was refreshing to see Texas Tech make it. And not the usual teams that are there year after year.

so the way to win the NCAA tournament is to lose when your a 1 seed to a 16 seed and then come back the next year and win it all, taking notes right now

Congratulations Virginia Cavaliers. Overcoming the embarrassment of the loss to UMBC last year by going all the way to win the national championship. Texas Tech also deserves recognition, they beat some good teams to get to the final game.

This one was one of the all-time great national title games in recent memory. Both teams were evenly matched, it came down to who has the mental-toughness to will themselves to victory. De'Andre Hunter really showed up in 2nd Half and OT with 22. Texas Tech has had a very spectacular season. Chris Beard, a AP Coach of the year, well deserved. He's a good coach and his team fought till the end. But a huge, huge congratulations to Tony Bennett and the Virginia Cavaliers. Last Year, they didn't have Hunter in the game and gave edged by UMBC. This Year, De'Andre's healthy, they fought some tough games in the ACC and the tournament, and as a result, they won it all. Congrats Virginia, 2019 National Champions

Congratulations to Virginia. And congratulations to Texas tech for your awesome season. I just looked at Virginia's recruiting class over the last 5 years and they haven't recruited a single 5 star player manly 4 and 3 star players maybe programs like Duke, North Carolina Kentucky and my Kansas Jayhawks can take note. One and dones don't get you to the national Championship games. it's upperclassmen and I can't wait until next year where high schoolers can go straight to the NBA. That way the players that really want to go to college can go to college and experience college basketball.

WAHOOWAA!!! I can't believe it and I'm so happy for UVA! My school and the town of Charlottesville needed this after all the craziness over the last few years. Now when folks talk about UVA and C'ville, it will be for the right reasons cuz it's an awesome place! GO HOO'S! (Class of '97)

My 35 year wait is over..so glad I'm still around to witness this after all the years and decades of watching our neighbors to the south bring home titles, UVA can finally add "2019 NCAA Division 1 National Champs" to its resume, congrats to all the Hoos players and assistants and to Coach Tony Bennett, the best looking coach in college basketball...

One of the top 5 national championships I seen in a very long time, 2 teams in the championship for their first time and what an awesome performance, Kudos to Texas Tech for their effort and congrats to Virginia for their strong performance. We need more national games like this one in the future

What a tournament! No real favorites in the end but they sure gave a show👊 Texas Tech had the toughest road, 2 #1's and 2 #2's since the sweet 16.

Great game. Proud of my red raiders. Wish a couple calls in OT would have gone differently but Virginia shot insanely well, hard to hate them for that.

Virginia plays big boy defense every second of the game, some of the most clutch shots and blocks I’ve ever seen in basketball period.

After saying all that, the Cavaliers deserve a major SHOUTOUT not only for winning yesterday but staying the course to reach their goal! They more than kept their focus despite the odds thrown at them from 2018! And kudos to Tony Bennett one of, and he's right at the top, the classiest men we have in our sport! Outside of Coach K, I've never been happier than in recent yrs watching Jay Wright and now Bennett win a crown! They belong having national titles on their respective resumes!

2 good teams, a great game. Unfortunately some tough calls again.

Even though I’m a Texas Tech fan, I have to say that this was one of the greatest championship games in the past few years. What hurt Texas Tech in this game were two 3-pointers by Virginia at two specific points. The first one was at the end of the first half when the Cavaliers hit the 3-pointer to go up 32-29. The second one was towards the end of the game when Hunter hit the 3 to tie game and sent it to overtime.

Overall best tournament and championship game I’ve witnessed so many close games , and Virginia fans had some close calls all tournament long Congrats to the Cavaliers , and it’s gonna be a shame if espn not covering this for the next two days , I wish a new network would come and talk about topics that are interesting so many good coaches and other great players , i don’t know why they don’t understand that people don’t care to hear about the Lakers and duke all day
