Nice video. Enjoyed the intro and a look at the Saturn and comparing versions would be great. I still enjoy the Saturn version - for all its faults it still has the VF feel which I felt was lost in Remix.
Will get Riven to do a playthrough of the Saturn version next week then a quick compare after that. Remix lacks the function to knock off Pai & Kage's head gear. Which was a nice touch in the original. The look of the models in remix was more like the second game and we know what you mean about that VF feel. The 10th Anniversary game on PS2 did a great job of recreating the VF1 models, all be it in high resolution: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a58kEEGao7c.html
Thanks for all those 4K ish captures in the correct aspect ratio, I use them to display on a 4:3 monitor on many different builds. I do have the Astro City mini with Virtua Fighter but the latency is too great to enjoy it so third party emulators are still the way to go.

@@RandomisedGamingRU-vid It's supposed to be really good! Had a little chat with Team Pandory discussing what that version could actually be using in terms of emulation. People have figured out how to dump what's on those astrocity minis just recently so it will be interesting to see if that helps with on going efforts to get Virtua Fighter running as it should on mame.
As detailed in the video description this is using the latest MAME build 0.157, by all accounts MAME is the best emulator of Model 1 to date. The best version now would be the new release on the SEGA Astro City Mini that version does seem to have a few changes from the original PCB.
